Any news about the print editions for this and Inkantations?
I've talked about that in the Inkantations discussion thread. Long story short, it's at the printer (though by now it could be with the distributors - I'll see what I can find out from Studio 2).

Thanks! Now all I have to do is figure out why I haven't got the .pdf for Tome of Monsters attached to my account yet...

You bet, and hopefully one of the Paizonians can figure that out for you.

You now have access to the Tome of Monsters PDF.

Jim at Studio 2 has let me know that some of the titles ordered by various retailers have been printed and sent to distributors, with several others going out in the next couple of weeks.

When will this be up here on Paizo?/ I see its up on Ebay already.

Studio 2 Printing (our partner that handles our printing as well as distribution) has shipped them out, so it should be here very, very soon (I know I keep saying that, but at this point, all I can do is repeat what I've been told by Studio 2).

And it's already on eBay? That's...interesting. I see it's FRP Games. Not sure how they came by a copy, as we had a very, very few of them with us at MisCon in May, and only sold a couple.

Well it's on Ebay that you saw but a lot of companies post stuff up for sale before they receive the items.

Looks like it's no no longer a pre-order, so I assume that means Paizo finally received them. *fingers crossed*

They're not actually in our warehouse yet, but they are in our distributor's warehouse, so they'll be here very soon.

That's still good news!

Thank you! Glad you like it!

I'm going to wait until the print book gets in my grubby paws but from looking through the pdf I see much that I like. Just one word of caution, the one race might a bit too powerful for some GMs to swallow. I like playing bears too but the Otso looks like it has a net +4 to one stat when used for PCs. Especially what stat that is, I can see a lot of GMs not allowing the race as too powerful or slapping a +1 ECL or whatever that is now in Pathfinder. Granted for that sor of thing I like what Skortched Urf has done but we're still waiting for the print book to come out so hopefully this and the Incantation book won't too far down the pike. The only other thing I have to say is that I think this is the third version of the wendigo I will have access to with other two from Paizo in Bestiary 2 and Alluria in their Crepy Creatures book. This can be a good or bad thing as having multiple choice on a given monster could very well keep players on their toes. The main problem being that there could be too much overlap. But there is enough here that is new and fresh that I consider it a worthwhile purchase.

The otso are actually toned WAY down from their first draft. They were stupidly powerful in the first draft, then changes were made after initial playtest of 2nd draft, then more changes to get to the final.

We didn't realize the Wendigo was going to be in the Bestiary 2 when we planned for inclusion in Tome of Monsters, and after going to the work and having art done, I didn't want to drop it either.

I know I'd love to make a ranger out of one of them that's for sure. But I have this idea in my head that I'd like to play with of the fantasy equivalent of Smokey the Bear.

With his "+4 Hat of Fire Quenching", naturally.

One of the guys that playtested the otso did exactly that!

The idea that my vision is not unique is not surprising. It's comforting actually.

As a weird side note I had a stray thought after typing that response. I went back and looked some earlier books. I wonder what the reaction would be in a gathering of the faithful of Brun when an Otso ranger with a warbrand and using the two handed weapon style from the APG walks in as a potential participant in whatever ceremony or festival is going to be performed. Given that god's love of bears I might imagine the race venerating him as their patron although they would depict him as one of their kind instead of a human.

If you were using both in the same game, I would agree that the Otso would most likely hold Brun as their patron deity, and view him in their own image (or themselves in his image. :D ).

It also shows how much I have enjoyed and appreciated what you have done. Now I'm just waiting for Tome of Monsters to arrive and Incantations to ship. I just bought Inner Sea Magic from a local retailer and I can see how Incantations is going to slot in perfectly.

I'm going to send the folks at S2P a note tomorrow, asking when they are finally shipping out Inkantations. I know for a fact they already have it back from the printer, and have had it for a while.

I love what I see in this. I need to write up a review but some really nice artwork in here. Definitely a volume I will use in the home campaign. The side bars on real world origins of some of the monsters is a nice touch and much appreciated.

Thank you very much! We were especially proud of the art in ToM, as I think it is among the best batch of art for any of our books so far.

I just recently picked up the print version of this and I wanted to say I quite like it! Nicely done and I look forward to future releases in a similar vein. The side bar real world references to the various monsters was a very nice touch.

That's great to hear! Thank you!

I'm curious as to if an editor has gone over the stat-blocks with a fine tooth comb and fixed the errors with them mentioned up-thread. I'd like to purchase this, but would prefer to buy a copy that is as error-free as possible.

Monday bump.

We have not gotten to that yet. Right now, the priority is getting other projects completed. It will happen, but I can't say when just yet.
