Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work as part of a focused and tightly integrated team to:

  • Answer incoming queries via email, forums, and phones in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot any problems associated with our products, programs, or purchases through paizo.com
  • Provide a positive experience for our customers and community
  • Help to make paizo.com a more user-friendly place to shop
  • Assist with general forum moderation and making paizo.com a welcoming and friendly online community
  • Other duties as necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A genuine love for helping people and interacting with our customers and community
  • The ability to maintain a friendly and enthusiastic attitude in dealing with customers, even in high stress or difficult situations
  • The ability to work both as part of a tightly integrated team and without supervision
  • The ability to rapidly adapt to a large workload and to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills (office, email, PDF readers, databases) and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extra consideration may be given to candidates who have:

  • College degree or the equivalent in professional experience (2-4 years)
  • Previous customer service or service industry experience
  • Knowledge of Paizo Inc, our product lines, and the RPG industry
  • Typing skills of 70 words a minute or more

Job Conditions

  • Office located in Redmond, Washington (any relocation expenses are the responsibility of the applicant)
  • Normal office working conditions, Monday -Friday during regular office hours

    Web Content Manager

As the Paizo Web Content Manager you will report into the Director of Technology and partner collaboratively with teams across the company. Paizo is seeking a Web Content Manager to help maintain paizo.com. In addition to providing UX design input and building out web pages, the Web Content Manager will work closely with the rest of the tech team as a project manager, helping gather and document requirements. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, versatile self-starter with experience working with both creative and technology teams, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and has an eye for detail.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Help gather, outline, and define requirements for new pages, features, and offerings
    • Document business logic, behavior, experience and other notes on new pages, features, and offeringsCreate and assist with shepherding JIRA tasks for technology team in conjunction with manager
    • Generate wireframes for new projects, pages, and elements using Adobe XD, working closely with design
    • Scheduling and coordinating special content launches
    • Provide general troubleshooting/support for web content and digital products
    • Help set paizo.com web standards and best practices in regards to UX and UI
    • Help with website feedback forum, including answering posts
    • Work with test to UAT and determine web readiness

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • 2+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and some Javascript
    • Experience with Adobe XD to create wireframes and Photoshop to crop and resize images
    • Professional experience with web content management systems
    • Strong understanding of web UX/UI, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and web standards
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be proactive and take initiative in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment
    • Ability to work well both independently and with a team
    • Some college course work or equivalent experience a plus
    • Background in tabletop gaming and/or familiarity with Paizo products a plus

    Interpersonal Contacts

    Contacts are made both inside and outside the organization. Internal contacts frequently include Operations (including Customer Service and Warehouse), Information Technology, and Paizo management. External contacts include consignors, customers, distributors, fellow retailers, and game industry manufacturers. This job requires the qualified candidate to be the focal point for many of the integral relationships between paizo.com and the rest of the gaming industry.

    Job Conditions

    • Office located in Seattle, Washington area (any relocation expenses are the responsibility of the applicant)
    • Normal office working conditions
    • Job might require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week
