Anyone got any Cam character concepts kicking around? :) Starting a new vampire the masquerade game - Camarilla - set in Laredo Texas in 1985. Looking for interested parties. :D

Hi all,

Starting (or re-starting, really) a Werewolf 20th ed. play by post game set in Iceland. A mostly Fenrir / Fianna Sept of mixed power levels. Need just about any and everything. Come explore the Umbra and save the world!

Check it out at http://lightonice.net.

Because of spam, to see the full site beyond character creation, you'll need to make an account. If you want to chat about things before doing that or ask questions, using the paizo PMs is also fine!

Los Angeles by Night is a long running Vampire game that is in its latest incarnation of V20.

We're looking for a few more bloodsuckers to fill out our ranks. :)

It is currently a Camarilla and Coterie based game, set in modern times. We're RP and writing heavy, with some complex political intrigue and other vampire centric concepts focused on the 'personal horror' aspect.

Los Angeles in the middle of many conflicts and on several fronts of wars the vampires may not actually have a part of. The neonates of this last southern bastion will fight hard to keep Los Angeles standing. But they may be overwhelmed without help...

Come find out why the phrase 'Monsters We Are Lest Monsters We Become' is so apt these nights.

Email AST at gamerkirsten@gmail.com with questions or concepts.

In the kingdom of Talingarde, many crimes may send you to Branderscar Prison, but the sentence has but one meaning. You are wicked and irredeemable. Each of you received the same greeting when you arrived. You were held down by rough hands and branded upon the arm with a runic F.

The mark signifies ‘forsaken’ and the painful scar is indelible proof that each of you has betrayed the great and eternal love of Mitra and his chosen mortal vassals.

Condemned, you face at best a life of shackles and servitude in the nearby salt mines. Others might await the “gentle” ministrations of the inquisitors so that co-conspirators may be revealed and confessions extracted. Perhaps, some of you will be spared this
ordeal. Perhaps instead you have come to Branderscar to face the final judgment. In three days, the executioner arrives and the axe falls or the pyre will be lit. Through fire or steel, your crimes will be answered.

You have all been chained together in the same communal cell dressed in nothing but filthy, tattered rags. Manhandled and mistreated, any finery you once possessed is either ruined or long lost. No special treatment has been given any prisoner – male or female, commoner or noble – all of the forsaken are bound and imprisoned together. Your feet are secured by iron cuffs tethered by one long chain. Your arms are secured to the wall above by manacles. A guard is posted right outside the cell day and night. Little thought is given to long term
accommodations. At Branderscar, justice comes swift and sure.

Escape seems hopeless. You have all been well searched and every attempt to conceal anything on your person has failed. And if you could somehow slip your bonds and fly out of this prison, where would you go? Who from your former life would want anything to do with the forsaken?

Despised, alone and shackled – all that you can do now is await your doom.

For each of you, your old life is over. For each of you, hope is a fading memory. For each of you, justice will be fairly meted. And who can blame fair Talingarde after what each of you has done?

Okay! Everybody check in! :)

I've been pacing myself since I got back on the boards. However, its a bit slow, and I'm bored, so ...

I'm running Way of the Wicked for my home game now. But you know how it is with home games. Love all your usual suspects to death but after a while you get way too used to how they play and what they're up to. WotW is certainly a change of pace for them that we're all enjoying heartily, but I can't help but pine for fresh blood and ideas and characters.

Where better to get those than the Paizo boards?

I'll preface this by admitting that I'm not really a once or more a day poster anymore. Work and life and various other issues can mean that I'm silent for a couple days at a time, so if that's going to bother you, my games may not be for you.

That said, I am quite familiar with the campaign now, and really looking for a different but still fun experience of the old content with newer characters and players.

Just throwing this up to gauge interest for a somewhat slower, more detail / RP oriented run through of Way of the Wicked ... for as long as it goes.

My one restriction in character creation is that all PCs are tied to Asmodeus, or have a reason to make a contract with Asmodean folks (and keep it).

Talingarde is, for all intents and purposes, a self-contained little world. The PCs are villains. The point and purpose? Smash all the castles, kill all the Paladins.

Dorian:
Dorian – Dorian is back in Korvosa to find Gaeden. He’s not having very much luck, and it’s starting to get dark, and eventually he retires to find a place to rest, a cheapish room wherever he ends up. It’s all rather usual, except waiting on his pillow in lieu of a sweet (its not a sweet on the pillow kind of place anyway) is an old and dirty harrow card – The Locksmith – the keys to a new destiny. On the back there is a note for him.

The man who tried to destroy you is within reach. I know about what Gaeden fed you to keep you on his hook, and I know where he is. I can’t reach him myself, but I know some other people who can; you can meet them and me at my place, 3 Lancet street, sunset tomorrow. Gaedren will meet his fate, and you will mete out your justice upon him!

Tierce:
Tierce – Tierce is at his favorite haunt, drowning his sorrows and growing anger in the mounting bar tab here. Between one drink and the next, before his vision gets too blurry, he finds a Harrow card, old and with a bit of blood staining the edges, lying under where his mug had been. It is The Crows, and the metaphor of that is probably not lost on him, Taldan though he is. But the back is more interesting, as there is a note there, written in a soft, feminine hand. It says:

Your loss must be unbearable, and for that, I am truly sorry. I know what Gaeden Lamm has done to you, for he has done something similar to me. I would see him taken down; I know where he is but cannot strike him down myself. Meet me at my home at 3 Lancet Street at sunset tomorrow . There will be others like you. Gaedren will face his fate, and justice will be done.

Srilik:
Srilik – Srilik is out patrolling. He’s not with anyone tonight, but the streets are more or less quiet. The city is on edge as the King’s health deteriorates, and the streets are deserted for the most part. He pauses at a corner to peer into a dark alley, and a wayward brush of air blows a harrow card directly into his breastplate. It is The Forge – strength through diversity – and on the back there is a note.

I know of the suffering that Gaeden reaped upon you! You are one of many he has hurt, myself included, but now is the time to end the blight he inflicts upon the world. I know where he is, but cannot strike him down myself. Meet me at my home at 3 Lancet Street at sunset tomorrow. You will meet others like you, and justice will be done!

So, one of my games died due to RL dramas. This means that ... I can make a new game!

I prolly invited you to make a character; you should do that. :)

4d6 drop lowest chargen, no guns, no 3pp, 1 campaign trait and 1 whatever tait, max starting gold for class, blah blah blah, be awesome.

Wheeeee!

Wheeee...

As a favor for a friend, and because I absolutely adore this module, I'm going to run a quick and dirty Harrowing Module. Here is the

Fluff:
Varisian fortune-tellers from across Golarion use the mystic harrow deck to read fate and predict the future, but few have ever mastered the mysterious harrow to such a degree as Sonnorae, a long-dead bard from the Age of Darkness. Fearing her collection of stories would be lost when she died, she created a demiplane within her own harrow deck to contain them. Over time, these stories took on lives of their own, and melded with the images on the cards themselves. But not all stories have happy endings, and the storykin who inhabit the Harrowed Realm have their own motivations and plots for power or even escape into the real world. When the PCs find themselves drawn into the Harrowed Realm in search of a disappeared scholar, they must use all their wits and steel to navigate the landscape and politics of this strange wonderland and make it home again.

And

The crunch:

Level 9
Core Races Preferred (any Paizo race allowed)
Any Paizo class / archetype EXCEPT GUNS
Level 9 Gold - 46,000
Two Traits (any)
Dice rolling to build, 4d6 drop the lowest. Any stat below 7 becomes a 7.

I'll be taking 4 people plus my RL friend I'm running this for - have some kind of background, but keep it vague. The adventure begins outside Sandpoint, because I know the area! But you won't be there long, so don't worry too much about connections and things, :)

I'm gettin' on a plane on Friday, so I'll pick characters when I land.

Its a quiet afternoon as you all arrive at the Ravengro cemetary, invitation to the funeral in hand. The town of Ravengro is quiet and grey to walk through, as most of Ustalav is. Nobody really seems to be about, and the cemetary isn't hard to find. Its one of the bigger landmarks of the town, other than the towering burnt out husk of the prison lurking ominously above.

Ravengro is famous for that prison - Harrowstone - though its been closed for years now.

But you're not here to see that. You're here to inter your friend, Dr. Lorrimor. Waiting at the entrance to the cemetary is a figure familiar at least to one of the party - Kendra Lorrimor, dressed in black for mourning, with a veil over her face. She waits with her head slightly down, and hands clasped in front of her, hoping everyone will be on time.

Alrighty. Talk! Check in, ask questions. Any last minute changes are fine, check to see if you guys would know each other!

Now that my real life has settled down again, I wanted to start another campaign for giggles and grins. This one, I have run before, and thus have research and some mapping already completed.

Carrion Crown!

Undead goodness, and every RPG trope known to man stuffed into one!

I love this campaign deeply, having had a ridiculous amount of fun playing in it as my first fully fleshed out Pathfinder character. I hope I can share that with potential players! I got so many awesome folk for my S&S campaign, I just have to try this one too with the crop of people I've found on these boards.

For this one, I will honestly truly actually only be taking 4 people.

Same recruitment rules.

Rolling for stats (4d6 drop lowest)
No guns
Keep your races within reasonable limits of believability and un-brokenness
Max starting gold
Two traits; a campaign trait is highlyhighlyhighly recommended as it will help with the plot immensely. Feel free to flavor other traits to fit the campaign/Professor
However, barring a trait, have a reason to know the Professor in mind
When in doubt, ask!

I'd add an additional rule that I find really relevant to Carrion Crown in particular - Good or Good-leaning, please! I know that Evil is fun. And Neutral with an emphasis on gold is also fun, having done both before ever playing a Good character myself. But I find that Carrion Crown in particular requires a certain moral compass to follow the plot and use the stuff written into the AP to its fullest.

I'll keep this open for a few days, and see what we get.

As always, bonus points to anything that makes me laugh, cry, or fall out of my chair. :D

I felt a little Thai was appropriate for our title. It says: Let's go have fun! Thais, being the connoisseurs of sanook (fun) that they are, would approve. :)

You all wake up in a dark, creaky place. It smells like salt and sea and unwashed bodies, and it is hard, at first, to see. Trying to remember what happened that brought any one of you here brings a haze of vague memory - a tavern? Some ale? Perfume? Its all jumbled. All you know is ... here you are.

As your eyes adjust and you blink or rub them clear, the dark interior of the room becomes more defined but still hard to make out. The creaking is steady, rhythmical, and everything sways as if you're still drunk. But you're not drunk; the steady headache and dull thud of your pulse in your ears tells well enough of the monstrous hangover waiting to hit you as soon as you're fully conscious.

The floor is hard. And there are people near you. Along with the steady creak of wood all around you, you can hear them stirring, too...

Okay! Chat away. Anything you need clarified, anything you want to change before we dive in - this is the place to do it.

My AIM is Gaea1000, please feel free to hit me up if you want to chat-quick about anything!

It looks like, to me, that Skulls and Shackles is the 'hot AP' this week. So, I will cave and GM a PbP of it for all those people that have expressed interest. Post here with character crunch/fluff, and I'll figure out a balance. I'm going to go with 4/5 characters that I think will work well together.

Things to keep in mind:

You should want to be a pirate, or be willing to become one via circumstances.

You should have a reason to start in Port Peril for one reason or another; the default here is coming to Port Peril to begin life as a pirate.

PCs that are tailored to the ocean and being on a ship are preferable.

Be able to post at least once a day. (Weekends more flexible)

That said, character creation stuff:

Rolling stats, 4d6 drop lowest
Max starting gold for class
2 traits (Campaign trait recommended, but not required)
Any race is acceptable with proper story for it, but standard races preferred

About me: I'm online a LOT, but my online times may be somewhat skewed for some people. I live and work in Thailand (part of the reason I'm so interested in PbPs). Still, I find that I have plenty of time to interact with folks in the morning/evening of US time.

I've run plenty Pathfinder APs and been in a few more, though my background is mostly World of Darkness based. As such I find I am very interested in stories and character development (though I love the ease of Pathfinder combat compared to WoD too).

If this sounds like someone you want to play with, well ... hop on board!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So, a friend of mine and I were looking for a place / way to run a Mutants and Masterminds game. We've tapped out our resources for online players recently, but I have recently joined the boards here and found hoards of players looking for chances to do cool stuff!

So I wanted to ask if we picked up a 2nd ed M&M campaign (Probably on Obsidian Portal), would anyone be interested?

I'm specifically looking for people who want to help create the world; we're still in early stages with some outlines for villains and ideas for plots, but nothing defined yet. I like to tailor my campaigns to the players and their characters, too, so its likely that none of that would be set in stone until we had characters and things set so that they would fit organically into the world and campaign created for them.

So, questions, comments, interest? Feel free to post here or PM me.

:)

I'm having a hard time figuring out which games are still new / still need players! I'd love to get involved with something (almost anything!) but have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions?
