Merion has an idea and rushes over to Arren, whispering Let's give them something to shoot at. If I make the visuals, will you do the sound? I'm thinking a bunch of archers.
Then he pulls out a bit of fleece from his pocket and looks to her, then up at the castle walls.
Readying an action to cast Silent Image once Arren agrees It will be a squad of archers off to the left, raising and firing bows, and the arrows starting to streak off toward the keep.
As I think what was described, the ground floor where Ewan is also has a door, was there any sound of the ground floor door being opened or barricaded?
If opened or hearing scuffles near that door Ewan stays put close to the door and takes total defensive for now.
If any signs or sounds point towards the door being barricaded.
Ewan will try to move up towards the wall as well, intent on trying to help Ivar pin down whoever is in the rooms.
Ewan: Both the ground floor door and the rampart door have been barred shut. The ground floor one has taken minimal damage and won’t budge. The rampart door has been attacked a lot by Ivar and looks as if it could break soon. To get up there you’ll have to go up the stairs.
Helgar moves up and cast CLW on Ivar and heals him a significant amount. +9 HP Ivar (I am going to use Helgar’s previous roll)
Merion and Arren team up and use their arcane abilities to create an illusion of archers ready to attack. Arren: Ghost Sound is a 0 level spell that I will let you make concentration checks to continue for as long as you’d like. Similarly like Merion’s Silent Image
The Other Guys
Two more stones drop down from above, one missing Ivar, the other hitting Merion squarely but isn’t overly effective. -1 HP The archers in the windows continue to fire on Nempura and Albin. The attack on Nempura misses but Albin takes a bolt in the chest. -2 HP Other arrows continue to rain down from above through the fog, but no one is hit.
Top of Round 6
The fog is starting to thin out, you can start to make out the stone tower through it. You think that by the top of next round the fog will have been dissipated.
Ivar attacks out with his Bardiche. The door looks as if it is ready to give, but with the rocks dropping from above, maybe Ivar hasn’t been as effective as he could have been.
Initiative: Round 6 The PartyFog Round 3:
The Other Guys
Using Ivar’s roll from before to continue attacking the door for round 6 Arren/Ewan/Helgar/Merion/Nempura/Albin/Findal you’re up. What do you do?
Damage Taken: Arren -0 HP, Ewan -1 HP, Helgar -0 HP, Ivar -6 HP, Merion -1 HP, Nempura -0 HP, Albin -6 HP, Findal -0 HP
Nempura delays on the defensive until Ivar has destroyed the door. As Albin moves into combat, she growls. If the old man dies, at least he has died doing what he loved...though she is getting aggravated at his constant desire to rush into danger. She focuses on the door, not wanting to let his actions distract her from combat.
She will wait to see if the door is destroyed to act. She is still on the defensive.
Ewan moves up the stairs, feeling useless down at a place where there is no immediate threat. At least up at the wall he would be more useful when Ivar breaks down the door.
Will take Total Defense this turn if possible to protect against the rain of arrows, AC to 24

Ok, apologies on my character sheet on my profile. I reworked the details of a former character for this, and the old one was made with 20 pts, and I missed a couple of changes...and for some reason I can't modify my profile from my phone. Will have to edit when I get home from work later today.
I could not imagine trying to do a post on my phone... maybe it's just my fat fingers.
I haven't gone over anyones character sheets quite yet, so feel free to make any changes that best suits how the RP and character developments plays out over this "You're in a tavern" scene. Once we really launch then I will make sure all is good to go.
One thing, please keep track of the coin you spend on food/drink/lodging. That will count towards what your character starts with.
Also, give a look at the Orc's Head Tavern map. Without having any in person markers, I have mentally placed Rhaedlaf in the single corner table that you would run into if you keep walking straight down rom the stairs. Out two dwarves friends are sitting at the round table nearest to that. Not the one at the bottom of the stairs, but the ones just to its right.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's character pictures.
Also Gm, did you know that you can use Google Draw to copy paste images such as maps, or character images and shrink them to use as personal markers? There are other methods too. Just thought I'd mention it!
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the whole day through

If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up everything in sight
We dig up diamonds by the score

But we don't know what we dig 'em for

Small note on Rhaedlaf's manner of speaking: He talks a lot. He chatters, and obviously likes the sound of his own voice. (Think Tony Stark, but less charming or smart) This is intentional and not because I simply like to type dialogue. :D So, feel free, so long as it's not TOO rude, once the characters get to know each other, to tell him to cut it out.
Also, Mr. Clint, did Rhaedlaf know anything about the Gloamhold that he overheard the drunk gentleman muttering about? Rolled a 19 on Knowledge check...

1st, just Clint is good :-D
2nd, I am so sorry about missing that one. I was rushing to catch up and must have missed it. If I ever don't address anything the group specifically ask for, please do not hesitate jumping over to the discussion page and saying "hey! what gives!" or something nicer.
What most people in Languard would know is that Gloamhold is a dangerous place. So dangerous the first duke discovered something so horrible deep inside Gloamhold none of his family have ever set foot in the place ever again.
Rhaedlaf:
Beyond its many foul denizens and cunning traps, the place itself is said to warp those who spend too long in its depths. Such folk are said to have the Gloamhold Look.
Sorry I keep postings stuff, but as I come across it I want you all to have it. Here is a one sheet of the Deities & Demigods based in this world. I am cool if you want to stick to the Pathfinder based Deities, BUT if you wanted to switch to something based in this setting that would be cool too. Only six options, so it's not like there is too much to try and remember. Let me know what you think

Great! So this is a cleric of Abarin. I was saying “Forge Father” because I figured it would work with Torag, but could also be applied to other settings.

I went ahead and added the xenophobic drawback it seems fitting after role playing her a bit. I will go over her sheet today and double check all the info.

Party role and spells
* Spells cast by Helgar on arms and armor are at +1 CL
* Spells cast by Helgar on arms and armor last 2x as long as normal
* For example. Magic Weapon is 1 min/lvl. At lvl 1 if she casts Magic Weapon, it will last 4 minutes instead of 1.
* Another example. At lvl 11, magic vestment would usually last for 11 hours. For Helgar, it will last for 24.
* To make the best use of this, I will be trying to make most, if not all, of her spells be ones that affects arms and armor. So Lead Blades, Weapon of Awe, Magic Vestment, Crusader's Edge, etc.
Spells prepared at lvl 1
1x Lead Blades for Arn. The plan is to use 4x Forgemaster's Blessing to make his axe masterwork for 1 hour and then Lead Blades to make it a size category bigger for 4 minutes. So when both are active, he gets +1 hit and does 2d8 damage instead of 1d10.
1x Magic Weapon for Aris. 4 minutes her sword becomes +1 giving her +1 hit and +1 damage. If you can get hold of a 1d8 weapon, then lead blades will give you 2d6 damage. Probably better to have than than magic weapon.
When I hit lvl 2, Zalona will have her bow buffed. Helgar will then buff herself once she is high enough lvl to do so, but will focus on buffing the party first.
--------
If anyone has any spells/buffs that they want, please do not hesitate to ask. As this is my first time playing a character focused on buffing others, I'm always open to advice/constructive criticism.

I love the Str based rogue! Actually really glad that you pointed it out. I'm going to be preparing Lead Blades instead of Magic Weapons for Aris, so that her warhammer will do 2d6 damage.
Also, as a Str based rogue...might be presumptuous but I'd like to ask the GM something. Given that Aris has a huge class feature that can't be used, could she get catch off guard at lvl 1 and throw anything at lvl 3? Would represent how a rogue who doesn't use weapon finesse would instead be much more adept at using whatever is around to brute force a solution. Based on my reading of her, I think that being able to use a shovel or a bar stool as an improvised weapon would be right up her alley.

Helgar is a cleric who can cast cure spells spontaneously (the archetype gives up channel energy). Zalona took cure light wounds as a known spell. Arn is a stone lord paladin who can lay on hands @ second level (I think he keeps this ability).

Yeah, we don't have a channeler, but with a cleric, two bards, and a paladin, all who have access to some sort of healing, we're probably okay. Not that we shouldn't get wands anyway (if they are available in this world).
We also have good long range attacks with so many archers. That should come in handy if we play it right.

Also, Clint... sorry my default alias (Zanbabe) got into the character list. I use the "Paizo Campaign Tools" add-on in Firefox, which is overall helpful and amazing, but which froze up on me the other day and I couldn't select Zalona from the drop-down, so posted as Zanbabe and then went back and fixed it later from a different browser.
Oladon is patching the problem with the add-on, so it won't happen again if you want to drop her into the former character bin. :)

While technically a conjurer, Rhaed will cast as a generalist wizard for the most part, excluding necromancy and enchantment. He's more of a battlefield controller than a blaster, to be sure. Though, he won't forego damage dealing spells altogether.
And he has a healing-ish spell of his own, as well. ;)

Unchained rogues are far from one dimensional, thanks to Debilitating injury and Rogue Talents. Can get plenty of SLAs from that. Many ways that a rogue can be more than just stabbing people.
You all are a lively bunch, and I love it. I think we have a great group here. I don't know too much about other groups, but I think its a good sign that you all talk so much in the discussion channel.

If you are strength based, would it be better for you to go with the standard rogue vs the unchained? The Finesse Training feature on the Unchained feature is lost. I am cool if whichever you'd like to do. Maybe give it a look over?
Side-note: I will make a post in the AM starting the next day. Been a crazy day and I need to just lay my head down and sleep.

Apologies on tardiness. Real Life interfered with fun this weekend.
I do have a concern, though. While one post a day is doable, and occasionally more, I am not sure I can keep up with the group pace of three or more. NOT that I'm criticizing whatsoever. You guys are great RP'ers and I love your posts, but it's rather intimidating.
I think maybe I should bow out now before the group sets sail and allow someone else to join the party who can keep up with you.
Rhaedlaf - Just so you know. My goal is to post one forward moving story post a day. Everything else that happens around that is player RP. Do not feel like you have to bow out.
Side-note: I had the kids all day, wife just got home and the car window fell down in the door. I am going to attempt to fix that then I will make my post for today.
M'eh, it was a long shot. It motor for it is shot, wasn't sure if it just came off the track. I'll have to take it in tomorrow. Thanks though! I typically try to be as handy as I can be, stuff is so expensive to get done that it isn't even funny.

YouTube has turned me into a shade tree mechanic. I’ve fixed things I never thought I could. However, it always takes me four times as long as they say it will take and a whole lot more aggravation. Sorry it wasn’t a simple fix.
