Nimrodel (Nim to her friends) grew up in ancient Myth Drannor and due to an accident with a portal she got flung nearly a thousand years or so into the future. It's possible she knew the grandparents of some players when they were young. She studied at the Incanistaeum which has some famous graduates, e.g. Khelben who it's possible she met as an apprentice.
Luile is from Evereska, but has spent a fair bit of time traveling, so she could easily have met anyone at least briefly.
Kel - short for Kélebrindal Darkblade (which itself is short for a much longer name) - is technically from the Elven Court/Semberholme area.
She was struck by wanderlust a decade or so ago, so she travelled as a guard for a Sembian merchant company which transported goods over the Sea of Fallen Stars. She also spent a year in Telflamm (Thesk), learning how to make a specific Kara-Turan weapon.
When Kel returned to the Dalelands and Cormanthor, she spent some time amongst her family and friends in the Elven Court/Semberholme area. She also did some weaponsmithing and underwent initiation into a mystery cult which worships Corellon's artisan/crafting aspect (a splinter sect considered unorthodox by standard Torillian elven beliefs). (This is to cover any discrepancies due to my using a homebrew variant of the elven pantheon.) Something happened during that initiation which caused Kél to suffer the Oracle curse of tongues - but she can't remember just what that was.
Currently, she can be encountered in Highmoon in Deepingdale, seeking something both useful and lucrative to do. Her normal go-to job options (such as caravan guard) have been severely curtailed by her recently-acquired tongues curse. Not many caravan masters speak Celestial. :D

I just made a few small inventory changes (mainly reducing some alchemical purchases and tossing more of the inventory items into the magical haversack) and created a new PDF of Kel's main character sheet to reflect thoses changes. That new PDF has been uploaded to the MediaFire link listed under this alias.
(It's nothing game-changing, but I thought that I should still mention it.)

Where are these characters currently in the Forgotten Realms?
I can see that Luile and Calardanion are in Evereska (I think?), Nimrodel is in Shadowdale, and I put Kel in Highmoon (in Deepingdale).
I specifically avoided stating location so the GM could place me wherever was easiest story-wise, but if we are starting all over the map... Evereska is probably where she is, but if shifting that location is better.

On the meta-level, we know that Elminster of Shadowdale is an important person in the FR. But IC how well known is he to the public at large at this point in time?
I'm trying to figure out if Kel actually knows who he is or if she only knows that this chap Laheo (at the behest of someone called Elminster) has just grabbed her out of Deepingdale and presumably transported her to Shadowdale.
Castien can be anywhere at the start of the adventure, but he was last seen heading back to Silverymoon to hand over his family's moonblade to his father after having been rejected by it.
Just an experiment with the dice formula to see how it looks ...

Is there a handy way to see all the games that you are involved in, without seeing the other games? At the moment I am going to online games, then the recruitment thread, scrolling down to find this game, then going to the discussion or gameplay tabs.
There are two ways,
First, if you look near the top of the page showing various threads, you can click the word "focus" and it will filter the list of threads to show only those you've posted in. This of course works for more than just campaigns.
Second, at the homepage of the forums, near the top you see two tabs, "messageboards" and "campaigns." The second one shows your active campaigns.

Depending on the edition, the main god of the gnomes. Garl Glittergold played a trick on Kurtulmak that has caused the two and their ilk to hate each other. Gnomes used to geta +1 to hit kobolds.
Not just edition, it's part of the actual lore of the realms. To be fair, kobolds were the first to enslave gnomes, but Garl didn't just play a trick, he collapsed the entire kobold empire and left them to die there.
Also, official lore of the realms is that kobolds actually are draconic.

Calardanion has the replica. :) And it's a wondrous item. You have to make a Use Magic device roll to figure it out. :)
The Device of Time Journeying works by creating a portal through time. It has a Time Reaver spell permanently cast into it.

Now wait a moment, the guy just said that Demron just ended his apprenticeship, but 1st level is when one has reached the end of apprenticeship as a 1st level character with 4 skill ranks is a competent professional who completed their training for a full on tradecraft of approximately a bachelor's degree worth of training. 5th level is equivalent to Einstein. I know big and powerful characters is a thing here, but why would this guy call a 10th level character a mere apprentice? That's like saying we haven't even begun training yet despite being far beyond the average.
Am I missing something here?

Elves have longer apprenticeships. :)
