Severo dismounts his horse to the square above Electra, then with his remaining standard action, makes a partial charge to giant #2. [/ooc]Using the bonus from Fervor to gain +2 AC, his total is 24 for the round.[/ooc]
Elektra moves her pony a little closer as the Elf Wizard draws out a wand. She point the wand toward the third and southern-most Stone Giant. She hits the tall humanoid squarely with a black ray that saps life from the Giant.
The Hound Archon Ezekiel advances to attack the now weakened third Stone Giant.

Though weakened, the third Stone Giant reacts to the Archon's approach. It strikes the Hound, but much of the blow was absorbed.
Flynn jumps off his horse and sticks the third Stone Giant with two arrows. A third glances off the tall humanoid's hide armor.
After taking a powerful blow, Brandark delivers a powerful blow back. His back swing slices into the hide armor with causing additional damage to the Stone Giant.
But Abacus stomps and chomps killing the first Stone Giant.
Stone dismounts and says a Prayer. Immediately, divine help is received.
Severo dismounts and charges the third Stone Giant. With his Falchion, he drops the tall guy. It falls down unconscious.
Devora puts all she has into her bow shot, just to sail the arrow over the roof.
The remaining Stone Giant attacks over the bushes at the mounted and flying Brandark. It first blow strike the Dwarf Cavalier. Brandark falls off Abacus. His fall is cushioned by the shrubs. Brandark's Sihedron Medalion begin to glow as it preserved the Cavalier's life from the massive blow.

With one Stone Giant left, Elektra waits to see what the other party members do.
The Stone Giant next to Ezekiel fell in the previous round. I forgot to put the Unconscious symbol on it on the map. Stone Giant 1 is dead.
Ezekiel moves to attack the second Stone Giant. As the Hound Archon traverses the shrubs, the second Stone Giant is effected by Ezekiel'a Aura. However, this does not stop the Stone Giant from reacting to Ezekiel's advance. The Stone Giant still manages to pound on the Archon with its Greatclub.

Electra asks the hound archon to run to Brandark and give him some aid.
Aid:1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
She then moves forward to safe the people from the giants sacks.
Elektra asks the Hound Archon to provide some Aid to Brandark.
She then moves to help the victims in the giant sacks. Devora goes and helps Elektra with this task.
Devora calls back to Severo, "Can you keep a watch on that one." The Pathfinder points to the conscious Stone Giant.
The proud Half-Elf Woman is stoic for a moment or two, and then begins to cry. She goes first to a young boy that Elektra just freed. She hugs the child. Then tearfully goes to each of the Heroes of Sandpoint and thanks you for her rescue.
Nearby, this group of Stone Giants had a large wagon. There was no beast of burden to pull this wagon. It looks like the Stone Giants themselves were the beast of burden. The wagon was filled with all manner of valuables taken mostly from the Scarnetti estate, but also from some of the others.
After a few minutes a bruised and bloody Titus Scarnetti arrives on scene. He too thanks the Heroes of Sandpoint. The Heroes have not had too many dealings in the past with Titus. The Scarnetti's own the Sandpoint Lumber Mill. The party had some dealings at the Mill in the past during their investigation of the Skinsaw Man. It was good that the party did not run afoul of Titus during this time. The Scarnetti's are the most notorious of Sandpoint's founding families, and possibly the wealthiest. But at this time, Titus is extremely grateful for the rescue of his family.
Overhearing Brandark, Devora comments, "Here in Sandpoint it is doubtful. Even in Magnimar it is unlikely. But there are Wizards in Korvosa that may could accomplish what you ask. The Acadamae in Korvosa is the nearest great institution of magical learning. Not only is it a trip, but it would likely be expensive. And I have no idea how much. It is rumored that they have created great ships that sail upon the wind. If they can do that, then they can make a horse fly, and they could probably turn a horse into a horsefly too." Devora gives Brandark a wink.
Essentially, you would need to visit The Acadamae in Korvosa to accomplish what you ask.
Riding up with three other guards on horseback, Zandu the Sergeant of the Guards approaches the burning estate, "It looks like you have things under control. However, we need to put out this fire before it spreads."
The guardsmen begins to work buckets and any other containers from both the reflecting pool and a nearby well.
Once the fire is under control, Zandu will go to the party, "There are other captured Stone Giants. Sheriff Hemlock is gathering them at the Garrison. He needs your help."
Severo does his best to assist with the bucket line, imagining briefly how much easier this would be if he was a sorcerer. When that's done, he turns to the captured stone giant and speaks a simple command in common with his usual grace and dignity. "Move. Now."
Does anyone else need anymore healing juice? Severo has a bit of healing juice left in the healing juice tank.
The Hound Archon Ezekiel takes the healing energies from Stone just before he bows to Lady Elektra and departs.
Brandark receives some healing from Stone. It was enough to give the Dwarf Cavalier some strength to lead this Stone Giants back into town.
Titus Scarnetti approaches Brandark as he was about to leave, "Thank you for saving us. You truly are the Heroes of Sandpoint." He reaches in his pocket, pulls out something small, and gives it to Brandark. It is a gem.
It is a diamond, beautifully cut and faceted. Brandark will note it is worth about 2000gpcs.
Stone will bring the third Stone Giant to consciousness, but keep it in a weakened state.
With the fires contained, the party gathers and leads their captives out of this district and back toward the main part of town.
The nobles, their guest, and servants come out of their homes and hiding places. They quietly clap for the Heroes of Sandpoint as you ride by.
The claps and cheers become more numerous as you move into the main parts of town.
Ameiko with a guard and many armed townsfolk also have two captured Stone Giants near the Rusty Dragon. They join the party's progress to the Garrison.
When they reach the Garrison the large courtyard is filled with armed humans and captured Stone Giants. Sheriff Hemlock has a cocked and loaded Crossbow as does many of the other guardsmen. The exception was Orik with his massive shield and bastard-sword. His sword was out and pointing at one of the Stone Giants. In total there are eight captured Stone Giants.
One of Father Zantus' acolytes is dressing wounds of both guardsmen and Stone Giants. You will find that all they are doing is trying to keep the Stone Giants alive.
When the party brings in the other Stone Giants into the courtyard one of them calls out,
When Sheriff Hemlock sees the party he quickly approaches, "Good. Thankfully, the Dragon did not do that much damage. But this is too many Stone Giants for us to guard alone. You will need to help us guard them. I have sent a courier to Magnimar with news of the attack and that we have captured Stone Giants. Blacksmiths now are fashioning manacles and chains large enough to secure them."
The Sheriff looks at the Stone Giants, "These will be a great prize for Magnimar. They need such as these to help maintain their vast structures and monuments."
Historical note: In our times past, defeated enemies were made slaves. When the Israelites rebelled against Rome and were defeated, hundreds of Hebrew slaves were taken back to Rome. Many were party of a great triumphant parade that is depicted on the Arch of Titus in Rome.
They were probably promised something by a higher up... i have some suspicions, a red dragon lowering itself to work with giants? Thats not something that usually happen, couple that with
some other things we've seen, there's someone behind this stronger than them...the question is who. Flynn is notably uncomfortable with the attention as he theorizes
Mayor Deverin looks at the Good Sheriff and then the party, "Thank you for all you have done this day. But their are several families that lost loved ones today. I must go to them."
The Mayor turns and leave. As she departs, she looks back at the party, "Please find out why they attacked us. We must know why. If not, then more will likely come and this will not end. At least, find out where they came from."

Stone will look at the Giants and in common
You're people are not know to attack settlements without cause like the stupid Hills. Let us know what you want so no-one else Stone giant or short folk have to die.
Flynn starts speaking in Giant directly to the giants, he has a fake smile on, pretending to be friendly You've lost, if you want to benefit it would be a decent idea to work with us rather than against. save your own hide rather than worry about the others you work with... They aren't the ones in the enemies den, you are...why help them at all when your the one at risk, you should worry about your own lineage and blood... helping us protects you
The Stone Giants will not at all respond to Stone.
When Flynn begins his inquiry, one of the Stone Giants defeated at the Two Knights Brewery begins to speak, but is immediately hushed by the Stone Giant that was with Teraktinus. They remain silent.
Elektra will head to the Feathered Serpent. The door is closed and locked when the Wizard arrives. Elektra will note that most of the establishments in town are closed and locked up.

Electra will wait.
Dominate/Charm works on everything and has a higher DC to resist. So why waste money on something that will be resisted easier and only works on humanoids? I am no fan of save or suck spells.
After a few minutes, Vorvashali Voon opens the door and drags Elektra into his shop. He then locks the door. He inquires about the Stone Giants. He saw the Stone Giants kill one of the Sandpoint Guards and attack the Two Knights Brewery. He will tell Elektra that he locked up the shop and went into his cellar. When the screams became less and then not at all, he came up and was watching outside we he saw the Elf Wizard.

She then returns to stone and asks him if he wants to make a shopping trip to Magnimar. To return tomorrow!
If he accepts she will teleport them to their house and go shopping to her scroll vendor of trust.
Good idea, lot on my mind at the moment, should have caught that... Actually, i have an idea.. I need a room i can cast a spell in an... them brought in one at a time. i'm fairly certain i can get one to talk.
When Elektra returns and talk about going to Magnimar, Sheriff Hemlock speaks up, "Teleport! I have heard of such abilities. Could you go to Magnimar and tell the Lord Mayor of our plight, and that we have captured Stone Giants? It is likely that our courier will not arrive until tomorrow."
The Good Sheriff will then respond to Flynn, "We do not have a room here at the Garrison large enough for Stone Giants. However, the central courtyard at the Sandpoint Cathedral is a large enough area."
I am going ahead and opening up the discussion thread.
Once the party has been selected, I would like to get everyone's thoughts on ways to move the campaign forward. I am in another PBP campaign and sometimes it takes several days just to play through one round of initiatives.
Now I know that life has this crazy way of getting in the way of our gaming. Shame on it. But it happens. Like this Saturday I am taking a plane trip to Brookfield, CT where my wife is now visiting her sister. Saturday may be a tough day to post, but I am hopeful to get something in before the end of the day. We will be traveling for a good part of next week; but again I hope to have windows of time for posting. There may be a full day, maybe into the next, that I will be unavailable. If it is longer than three days then I am likely in a coma or meeting the Maker. So thoughts on how to handle the party when someone doesn't post for several days would be appreciated. I have prepped for posting situations that will allow you to meet and greet, plus the first encounter or two.
My goal is not only for some good RP but for some fun action packed encounters too.
I look forward to this opportunity to meet and make new friends.
The curse on this particular alias has finally been broken. I've changed the name three times, and not made it into three other PbP, so guess fourth time is the charm!
My thoughts on moving the campaign forward, especially during combat, is for you to roll party initiative, have everyone post their actions, then you sort it out if there is conflicting things. We, the players, have to trust you to figure out what each character would do based on what we have done in the past, and what we say in each post. For example, Kelvin is a sneaky boy, and he is not going to be out front like some tank saying "come and get me", unless I state it specifically in a post. So if what I say are my actions are impossible, I trust that you will take into account what he is (Rogue (scout)) and is not (Fighter (tank)) and have him act accordingly.
Dang, getting old means giving too much advice. heh.
Jeepers, my wife and I go to the local theatre in the round for a 1930's and 1940's song fest for a few hours, and when I come back the gameplay thread is being used....
Too soon? I am just taking advantage of my last few hours with my PC before it is Pad only for a while. The PC is far more versatile for piecing this stuff together. By the way, how do you activate maps in the Gameplay thread?
I am playing in a Second Darkness campaign, and the GM has a little link at the top of the Gameplay thread for "Map." It pulls up the current encounter.
Ah. Use the url= link. Look at 'how to format your text' button below this data entry box.
What I do as GM, is to use the "Race" and "Class/Levels" line on my GM alias for the "Tactical Maps" for each campaign that I am running, so they show up with every GM post.
For the "top of the page" link, once again use url= (see below) and then on the Campaign Info tab for this campaign, put it into the Short description entry.
Let me see how this location works for the current map in play.
I would like for everyone to format their PCs like Kelvins with base Stats added to the Class/Level line. This will help a lot when I do Initiative rolls and other rolls on behalf of your PC.
I am toying with the idea of using photos of miniatures with a handful of smaller encounters. Particularly encounters where Paizo does not have a map.
Please consider a Dungeons & Dragons Miniature (DDM) or a Pathfinder Battles Miniature (PFB) for your PC.
I have provided a link to a miniatures site (Plasticrypt). At the top is a link to the various manufacturers, and then by year of release the various sets.
Kelvin, how do you get that info into your stat line ?
If you edit your profile, you can put a lot more on the Class/Level line than just the Class and Level. You can put a good sized part of your stats. Kelvin's character profile is a good example of some of the information you can put on this line.
Gameplay Note: Ameiko tells Brandark that there are chests in each room for storing the bulk of your equipment. You could use your own lock for free, or for the 3cps rent a lock. The lance is another issue. It is too long for the chest. Ameiko suggest storing it under the bed, suggesting that if anyone tries to steal something that big, they will become easily noticed.
Kelvin, how do you get that info into your stat line ?
Sorry, missed the question. As Mazra says, edit the profile for the character, and on both the "Race" and the "Class/Levels" line you can put anything you want, and that includes most of the "How to format your text" including links, bold, italics, etc. I use it alot on my DM id for map links.
Wow...I feel like the snail in the group now. Had a rough afternoon/evening at work so didn't get to post till now. Super excited to be in the game. I'll format my tag line now. :D. Mazra, I've been looking at your maps all along and they've always come up well for me. :D the only thing I'm not seeing is a Garrath Token. I like how you've set up the background colors for the PCs so they're easy to find, because HOLY CRAP that's a lot of tokens! I just couldn't spot Garrath's
Still looking for the mini. I'm a bit of a mini nut myself, but probably won't be buying any soon. I bought into the Reaper Bones Kickstarter, and what started as about 20 minis, became 264...
This PBP format appears to be a great way to make use of the different languages. I like using the spoilers, showing the language spoken or any non-common languages.

Sounds like one of those persons where it is truly a blessing and an honor when you are able to be with them.
One of my house rules, that I am not even sure is a house rule, is that when a monster falls dead or unconscious, his square or multiple squares become difficult terrain. I have been playing that way in my home brews since 1st edition.

Any thoughts?
I don't know if that is RAW or not, but it is a good rule. I think that I will be adopting that in my next campaign at home. I have been ignoring that there is a body in the square in the past.
Helikon, you got the pronunciation right, spelling is Sla'inte ;) (accent usually OVER the 'a' but can't do it here). Used to have a girlfriend that spoke fluent Gaelic (Scotts Gaelic), and she used to drill that stuff into my head.
Hopefully you should be able to move your tokens around the map. It is easy to get the underlying map out of sync with the tokens. The back button to the far left can undo any hiccups.
