"Lug smartest Knucklebone Hill Giant. But as to Storm Tyrant, it all Chieftess talk about. But Lug does not know anything about him. Chieftess knew nothing about him either. Just tales. I guess he is a Storm Giant. Never met one. As to other Giants at Cathedral: Most have scattered. Only Stone Giants and pretty Slag Giant lady left," the Hill Giant seems sincere in his responses.
"I can play Harp." It gives Kaos a big gap-toothed grin. "Found in cave." Suddenly, as if out of nowhere the Harp appears in his hands. Every other string is missing to accommodate the giant's large fingers. But amazingly the big Hill Giant's tune was melodic and in some way the sound he made was peaceful.
The third Hill Giant in the tower looks at Leira, "Dink, ez dakit"
Giant:
Dink is clearly the third Giant's name. The words was simply, I don't know.
The first one approaches with its arms raised, "That one only says, "I don't know."" The first one speaks common. He glances toward the one in the tower.
"Chieftess Margoon took charge when other Giants scattered. The Chieftess wanted to prove herself here. Get Storm Tyrant's attention." The Hill Giant shakes his head disapprovingly. "I told to just let us go back to Knucklebones. But she would not listen." He looks over at the now dead corpse of the female Hill Giant.
Kaos runs to the opening in the fortified structure. He calls out. The first Hill Giant running away stops. And though Kaos forgot to call out in the Giant tongue, the Hill Giant seemed to understand what the Dragon Disciple said.
Hill Giant 3 Will Save:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
The third Hill Giant was likely too busy with fire and air to be frightened of Haskyll's armor.
Stone Giant Will Save vs ZOT:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
The Stone Giant has become emboldened from the warning of the other Stone Giant.
But Flynn's attempt at Diplomacy was successful against this more willing Stone Giant.
Giant:
The injured giant squints, frowns, and then chuckles to itself. “Defeated by nosy little humans,” it says. “Never thought this would happen to the Plateau People. Well, I can tell you this: My lord is mighty Mokmurian, one of the dark giants of old come again. His magic, the things he has made... He has convinced the tribes that they will rule all the lowlands again, down to the sea. He has mastered the ancient arts. “He will certainly kill you all, run rough over your tiny homes with the army he has called. The fortunate few will become his slaves. You beat us today, but you won’t beat us when there are a hundred or a thousand of the Plateau People marching together. Lord Mokmurian will make it happen.. He’s almost as smooth a talker as you are, little one.” He scratches his nose. “Teraktinus—he was the leader of our scouting party. He convinced us that you’d be easy pickings and we’d all get rich. He obviously underestimated you, and he paid for his mistake. I’ve no interest in paying for that mistake as well—grant me safe passage out of your lands, and I’ll tell you everything you wish to know.”
@Flynn - I see our edited post crossed. I will assume that Flynn will be able to convince this Stone Giant to talk. Though he has been emboldened, he is proud. And he is honestly surprised by the results of the attack.
The Hound Archon Ezekiel takes the healing energies from Stone just before he bows to Lady Elektra and departs.
Brandark receives some healing from Stone. It was enough to give the Dwarf Cavalier some strength to lead this Stone Giants back into town.
Titus Scarnetti approaches Brandark as he was about to leave, "Thank you for saving us. You truly are the Heroes of Sandpoint." He reaches in his pocket, pulls out something small, and gives it to Brandark. It is a gem.
It is a diamond, beautifully cut and faceted. Brandark will note it is worth about 2000gpcs.
Stone will bring the third Stone Giant to consciousness, but keep it in a weakened state.
With the fires contained, the party gathers and leads their captives out of this district and back toward the main part of town.
The nobles, their guest, and servants come out of their homes and hiding places. They quietly clap for the Heroes of Sandpoint as you ride by.
The claps and cheers become more numerous as you move into the main parts of town.
Ameiko with a guard and many armed townsfolk also have two captured Stone Giants near the Rusty Dragon. They join the party's progress to the Garrison.
When they reach the Garrison the large courtyard is filled with armed humans and captured Stone Giants. Sheriff Hemlock has a cocked and loaded Crossbow as does many of the other guardsmen. The exception was Orik with his massive shield and bastard-sword. His sword was out and pointing at one of the Stone Giants. In total there are eight captured Stone Giants.
One of Father Zantus' acolytes is dressing wounds of both guardsmen and Stone Giants. You will find that all they are doing is trying to keep the Stone Giants alive.
When the party brings in the other Stone Giants into the courtyard one of them calls out,
To the right the cave heads about 200 feet before it splits again. It looks like further right or east will bypass the center portion of this cave system. So the party takes the path to the north.
As Ulfgard rounds a bend and moves toward the north, he is greeted by a massive rock heading his way.
Surprise Round
He long heard you coming. Sound echoes quite well around here.
Everyone gets to react before the Cave Giant can throw another stone. Back on the Cave System and More map. You are starting actually off map a bit on the bottom center section. Ulfgard is ninety feet from the Cave Giant. Each square is ten feet. The lines represent ten foot increments.
The first Cave Giant sees Leira and calls out in Giant, "Humans!" He pulls a rock out of a pouch on his belt and throws it at Leira. Leira deftly sides steps the rock.
A second Cave Giant moves up and in Giant says, Oh good! I am tired of eating Orc."
A third Cave Giant can be seen around the rock outcroppings. It throws a rock that sails across the cavern and hits Leira true. The rock was heading straight for Leira's head, but the Rogue Arcanist flinched and the rock struck her around her left shoulder.
Rounds Three and Four...The Hunchbacked Giant Battle
Round Three portion
Startled, Anga tries to hit the Hunchbacked Giant with a Magic Missile.
The Hunchback Giant takes an opportunity to break up the Dwarf Wizard's spell. It claws into Anga. But the attack does not affect the brilliant Wizard's ability to concentrate.
Haskyll moves up next to Droja, and with the long reach of his spear, was able to poke the Hunchback Giant.
Kaos dodges, then ducks under the Hunchback Giant's attempt to claw the approaching Dragon Disciple. Kaos then drive Gorum's Throrn into the creatures massive belly. It howls, then quickly dies on the big human's sword.
Stepping out from the sides of the cavern walls the strange Hunchback Giant emerges at the back of the party. A portion of the creature is still within the walls, but not its arms and the massive tusks at the end of its elongated head.
The third Hill Giant bleeds from his brow, barely standing, he whimpers and trikes to attack the Dragon Disciple. Blood pouring into its eyes, the third Hill Giant's flails more at the air than upon Kaos.
Displacement Miss Chance <50 1st attack:1d100 ⇒ 26
Displacement Miss Chance <50 2nd attack:1d100 ⇒ 32
The first Hill Giant is held. And it will continue to be held.
Hill Giant 1 Will Save:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The second Hill Giant steps back five feet, then grabs its greatclub with both hands and swings at the Dragon-looking puny humanoid. Though it was able to target the displaced Kaos, the Hill Giant misses with both attacks.
Displacement Miss Chance <50, First Attack:1d100 ⇒ 88
The fourth Hill Giant is now attacking for its life, because quite frankly it is about to end. It does manage to land a solid blow on the over-sized Dwarf.
The fourth Hill Giant will go before Ulfgard in the Round.
The first Hill Giant moves up around tent. The closest puny humanoid its sees is Droja. It hurls a rock at the Half-Orc Oracle. It solidly strikes Droja.
The fourth Hill Giant moves up using the burning dung wagon for cover. It too hurls a rock at the Rhinoceros. The rock strikes the dead body of Mama Dung instead.
Anga takes a breather and lets the fighters mop up.
Kaos chases after the fleeing Hill Giants. As he gains on the Hill Giants he taunts them.
Leira sees Kaos chase after the other giants, and moves toward the large room. She tries to fire an arrow but was unable to set her feet to get off an accurate shot.
Leira would not have been able to move and attack in this round. But she could run behind Kaos to get closer. Your shot would have missed anyway.
Ragnir moves as far as he can toward the larger room.
Droja also follows in pursuit. Her lumbering Zombie Hill Giant follows Droja.
Ulfgard hesitate to allow Haskyll to provide a bit of healing.
After giving Ulfgard some healing Haskyll moves toward the cowering female Ogre.
The drunk Hill Giant doesn't know the Common Tongue. But it knows taunting no matter what language. He turns, moves, and attacks Kaos with a double handed swing of his greatclub.
Kaos takes 60 points of damage. When they hit, they hit hard.
The cowering female Ogre starts to sob pathetically. She continues to plea with Ferin.
Seeing Haskyll approach, Ferin will look at the Ogress, "Your fate is in the hands of others. But if you swear to me to serve the forge, I will see what can be done."
The Ogress swears.

Round Eleven
I am OK if Anga and Ulfgard want to do something else in Round 10.
The fourth Hill Giant, and the last living one standing in this massive groghall, takes a step back and attacks the Dwarf Ranger. Its attacks were more out of defense to get in a position to flee this situation.
The Female Marsh Giant moves toward the center of the room, just to have a volley of Scorching Rays head her way. One after the other hit the Female Marsh Giant she howls in a combination of pain and anger.
GM Screen:
A CL:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Leira fires a pair of arrows at the first Hill Giant from the Group of Four. The Rogue Arcanist's first arrow hits the giant, but her second arrow glanced off the big oaf's hide armor.
Kaos jumps on the table and with an acrobatic move attacks this first Hill Giant from the Group of Four. He drives Gorum's Thorn into the its belly. It doubles over and falls unconscious onto the Groghall's stone floor. Blood, smoke, and flames begin to spread around the fallen body.
With this first Hill Giant fallen, Ragnir moves to the third Hill Giant from the Group of Three.
This third Hill Giant, wields a Halberd, and take a swing at the approaching Dwarf, but Ragnir ducks under the big polearm.
Ragnir strikes this Hill Giant solidly with his Frost Mace.
The remaining two Hill Giants from the Group of Four scramble for vials from within sack, uncork and drink its liquid contents. The Hill Giants appear to still be in anguish.
Taking a step back, the breastplate wearing, trident wielding Hill Giant from the Group of Three misses with a pair of apprehensive swings against the Dwarf Ranger.
A second Hill Giant wearing Chain Mail, and wielding a massive battleaxe moves up to attack the Dwarf Ranger. Seeing Haskyll wearing armor made from familiar nails causes this second Hill Giant to become squeamish about its possibilities. It doesn't stop its attack, but it does effect its outcome. And like its clan member, the Hill Giant's attack was both feeble and ineffective.
The third Hill Giant from the Group of Three is not affected by Haskyll's armor. Using its Halberd, it steps back and attacks with abandon against the Dwarf Warpriest. It cuts into Ragnir, getting through the Warpriest's armor
Ragnir's zeal is beginning to wane from the potent blows he has received.
Ulfgard steps up and brings Agrimmosh down hard onto the first trident wielding Hill Giant. The great hammer lands two solid blows doing more than just denting its breastplate.
The Ogres continue to advance.
Ignan takes a step and goes after the third Hill Giant from the Group of Three. The Fire Elemental zigged when the Hill Giant zagged.
You will know by their common garb that this is the Like 'em Raw Hill Giant Clan. They have been known to raid human settlements toward the eastern fringes of the Mindspin Mountain range.
@Ulfgard - The second GoF Hill Giant was killed by Leira and Kaos' attacks before your actions in Round One.
The third and fourth GoF Hill Giants retreat away from the flames and the party screaming. Their howls will remind the party of the cries of a small female child. They do at least have the sense enough to grab their clubs as they retreat.
Group of Three Hill Giants (GoT)
Knowledge Local DC22:
These are from a lesser known clan of Hill Giants known as the Gap-Toothed Clan, as almost everyone in the clan have a gap in their front upper teeth, males and females. They also tend to be mostly bald, including the females. This clan seldom ventures out of the Mindspin but were notorious for ridding the Mindspin of its once Gnome population.
They are at first startled by what they see, but this group of three Hill Giants, though nothing like the bravest in Game of Thrones, are the bravest of their clan. They grab their Greatclubs and move to engage the party.
Ogres
The Ogres take their cue from the GoT Hill Giants and also advance toward the party.
However, a female Hill Giant in the way back sees what is happened, and turns and leaves out the nearest door.
That's all the Giants actions. Haskyll's and Ulfgard's post will complete the Round. Should either of you attack the GoT Hill Giants approaching, this will shift your initiative to after the Giants in the Round.
Map updated! After Haskyll and Ulfgard's post I will recap the Round.
The party thoroughly wedges the door where four Hill Giants are sleeping. They then head up the stairs, and engages a one-eyed giant with many feathery friends.
Round One
Droja cast Aid on Haskyll.
Ulfgard moves into the room.
Leira moves into the room and takes a sniping attack against the one-eyed giant. She sticks and arrow deep into the flat-footed monstrosity.
Kaos moves into the room and puts up a Shield.
Haskyll moves into the room while asking for and receiving a Blessing of Fervour for each of the members of the party.
Anga moves to the top of the stairs drawing out a wand. She uses it to fire an Acid Arrow at the one-eyed giant. it strikes the giant.
The one-eyed giant is clearly the most threatening creature in the room.
Ragnir moves up next to Haskyll casting an extended Shield of Faith.
The SoF will last twelve minutes. (120 Rounds}
The One-Eyed Giant whistles loudly, the Two-Headed Vultures begin to respond to the sound. The Giant then moves to take a swing against the one that caused it the most damage with a massive Greataxe.
It uses its very special, once per day, ability called Flash of Insight. It essentially can Take 20 on anything it wants. Hits are cool in that it provides a chance for a Critical Hit. It missed its Critical Hit against Leira. Good thing as it would have killed the Rogue Arcanist. Instead Leira takes 25 points of damage. In addition, its Perception check was high enough to notice Leira without a roll.
The Two-Headed Vultures fly off their perches and attacks the party as though the party was fresh food. They engage. The sixth one tries to bite Kaos as well, but misses.
One edit to the map. This Ettin is one size category larger than normal. It is huge.
Round One Start
Leira steps in and buries an arrow into the over-sized Ettin's chest.
Ulfgard steps in as well.
Kaos charges past his comrades and delivers a critical strike against the two headed monstrosity. It is at that time that Kaos notices that the Ettin is missing an eye on one of its head. Also, he notices a massive chain attached to an ankle leading over to the stairs. It looks to have plenty of lead on the chain. Kaos does not trip huge creature.
Startled by all this, and now fighting for its life, the Ettin backs up a step and takes a series of swings at the Human with a pair of flails. The head with two eyes lands two solid blows against Kaos. But the one-eyed head misses all of its attacks.
Ulfgard could hold his actions and work to finish off the now helpless Hill Giant. The Cyclops are near gone too. And the Manticore is flying away. I will wait for Ulfgard's actions before recapping. @Anga - I could see you waiting until the recap before taking actions. Just as well preserve your spells.
The ugly female giant takes a step toward the big human, and swings with a mighty looking war-hammer. It strikes Kaos with its downward blow, but misses the rebound. The big giant also slams into Kaos.
The ugly female Giant moves across to the middle island. She then brings up another Stinking Cloud.
Anga, Kaos, Leira and Ulfgard must make a DC15 Fort save or become nauseated. This could effect the actions posted. I will wait for the save rolls before finishing up the recap. Map updated.
The ugly female giant moves up some. She points at Ulfgard. An arrow made of an acidic mass springs forth from her fingertip and flies toward the Dwarf Ranger Barbarian.
"Urathash indarrak biltzen ari da. Hau egiten ari da Storm Tyrant-ekin. Ez dakit zergatik. Obeditu dut," the cooperative Stone Giant responds to Leira.
Giant:
"Urathash is gathering forces. He is doing this for the Storm Tyrant. I do not know why. I just obeyed."
