Riding up with three other guards on horseback, Zandu the Sergeant of the Guards approaches the burning estate, "It looks like you have things under control. However, we need to put out this fire before it spreads."

The guardsmen begins to work buckets and any other containers from both the reflecting pool and a nearby well.

Once the fire is under control, Zandu will go to the party, "There are other captured Stone Giants. Sheriff Hemlock is gathering them at the Garrison. He needs your help."

With the party injured, and their spells depleted they fell back to Shalelu's camp.

At the camp they find that Shalelu was not alone. Zandu, Sargent of the Guard, another Guard you have seen before in town, and another young man dressed in garb typical of a Priest of Sarenrae was with her. A small sail boat could be seen on the beach at a point out of sight from Thistletop, but within sight of Shalelu's camp.

"You all have survived so far. The Sheriff and Mayor will be pleased. Father Zantus sent us here to retrieve Calene. A situation with her family has come up and she is needed back in Sandpoint. As Father Zantus knows you will need a Cleric, he has sent you Stone, a Priest of Saranrae to help in your quest," the Sargent says in a most matter-of-fact manner.

Shalelu rolls her eyes.

Please feel free to indicate your actions up to and including this event, such as disposal of Goblin bodies if any.

Lyr returns briefly with Sergeant Zander in tow. Then makes her leave again.

"She is going after more help," the Sergeant looks back toward Lyr.

"I noticed the bodies of the creatures in the tunnel. What are those thing?". Zander has a more quizzical expression than one of fear or disgust.

"The Sandpoint Devil is a myth," the older guard says.

Sergeant Zandu is standing guard with a younger guard. The younger guard is visibly shaken. "There have been some strange noises coming from the tunnel. Shuffling and odd clicking sounds. It didn't sound like a Goblin," the Sergeant reports.

Another Sunrod is providing light at the intersection.

Again please feel free to add your activity to the prior day's events, Elektra's visit to the Feathered Serpent, the sad happenings at Amele's house, etc.

Day Five

Like a bad dream repeating, just as you take your first bite of either Brathana’s grilled ham, or fresh biscuits, or fried eggs, Sargent Zandu enters the Rusty Dragon, ”The Sheriff and the Mayor want to see the Heroes of Sandpoint at the Town Hall.”

Day Two

Elektra soon after coming back in with Honeytrap is first to notices a Sergeant of the Guard rush in to the Rusty Dragon. The tavern area was starting to get busy with the morning breakfast. Brandark was gathering together the items from off the dead Goblins to take to the smithy and others to sell.

”I need to see the Heroes of Sandpoint,” he calls out, addressing the party as though they have a title. At this point in time, the party does not realize that in Sandpoint they now do.

”Sheriff Hemlock needs to see you right away at the Cathedral.”

To move game play, I will assume the party is now working as a team. Until which time the party may or may not designate a team leader, I will move gameplay forward when any three party members agree on the next action. Most of the time the choices are fairly obvious. If there are any objections to this idea, let's move it over to the discussion thread. And know that I am actually fine either way. Burnt Offering is not very sand boxy anyway.

@Brandark - Go ahead and take care of the small items from the Goblins. There will be a window during Day Two for this kind of activity. But in the mean time.....

”Enjoy your time in Sandpoint. Any trouble makers will be incarcerated. We have plenty of room.”, a Sergeant of the Guards barks as you pass into the town.

The streets are crowded and noisy. There is a palpable excitement in the air.

Quick to the punch, Elektra you are already in the town. :)
