A round of whiskey for the house! TapTap shouts. Tap fishes the required gold from his purse, places them at the table. A barmaid retrieves the gold, feeling it's weight, and nods. As the bottles go around the room, Tap smiles warmly. You have welcomed us here as guests should be, and we of the Oncoming Storm are grateful for your hospitality. Drink, new friends and I will sing you the tail of Big Belliott and the three Giant Frogs!

If possible, we should recruit all 3 of the potentials. If the smith will also take over as one of the smaller officer duties, like Quartermaster or something, we could easily offer him officer pay. If he wont, I still think we should try and get him aboard. The crew doesn't need to know just how much we bring back from our adventures off ship.
What do you guys think?
As for the infamy, we still have a few more days here waiting on Ricketty Squib, there may be chance in that time for another roll to come up. I appreciate the delay until the end of our visit, Mr. GM.

SubiculumHammer |

From my understanding: Adventure spoils are ours alone. Crew gets payed in plunder...we assume they get spoils from fights they are involved in like boarding fights.
I think having a blacksmith would be a good idea to have on board.
I reread the rules and the house rules that GM posted concerning infamy which come down to:
1 lead, two assists. All day actions. Sounds like we tried and failed.
GM Nayr seems to be offering another chance with a third assist, but I'd prefer to stay within the stated rules. Challenge is a good thing. That said, trying on multiple days is a fine idea. In this case we have time, and the rules don't say anything against trying on multiple days.
Tap posted another attempt earlier, not realizing the once a day thing. Maybe it could be transferred to the next day (could reroll if desired).

I'll clean up and merge with loot sheet. Then it would be nice to liquify item we don't want to keep.
That, sir, is dedication. I'm glad you are the captain.

SubiculumHammer |

lol Im sure it has a gp value
What I'd like to do once I have the identity of each, and which has been used or not, is to have each person decide if they want the item or not. We take the remaining, sell it and split the gp among Jack, Tap and Rush. Sunyata coming in late got starting wealth.
Things are complicated because people have dropped out (most relveantly, Kerruk and Belliott), so it should probably be reduced some.

SubiculumHammer |

OK Front Page of loot sheet is complete (probably).
Things left to do:
1. Mark which potions/scrolls have been used.
2. GM Nayr enumerates treasures that are only vaguely described)
3. Mark which item each person wants to claim.
Also, GM Nayr reminding us of the runes we can put on our weapons (shock/flame/sharkbane). these are great. I recommend that they are only put on weapons after we are sure that is the weapon we want to keep. For example, Tap would like to get a composite shortbow +1 with a +4 strength rating..so he will put the shock or flame rune after he finds one.

SubiculumHammer |

standard action to start, but lasts until command word to stop is given or sat down.
Also, Special abilities can stack, but I am not 100% sure on the rules. I know not the same ability twice, and flame frost shock are energy damage, so i am not sure they can stack. bane and shock would stack though for sure.
I am kind of thinking that the magic harpoon should get the sharkbane. Its a good underwater weapon already (remember the fight against the gian eel !!), and adding sharkbane could add significant damage and to hit

SubiculumHammer |

Just pushing this to the front again.

I'm going to let you two work on the weapon runes. Rush should never need to use them, hopefully, as that is a thing he actively tries to avoid.

Sphen86 |

Looking at the loot list, I don't see anything on there that Rush has claimed from our looting.
I would like to claim the Potion of Lesser Restoration and 1 of the Scrolls of Air Bubble if that's kosher with everyone.

====================================
The Face: By looks, we are all good party faces, though right now Rush is best at Diplomacy and Jack is best at Intimidate. It might be a good idea if Rush or Jack are the ones to make the primary Diplomacy/Intimidate rolls for infamy checks. While Tap can compete to be party face, he has a lot of other valuable class skills he could focus on.
The Sailor: Rush is clearly best for sailing checks right now. Rush takes roll of battle captain..since sailing checks are super important in combat..
Rush: Please consider wearing the the Tricorne hat Sandara gave us. It gives you a +2 on sailor checks...

Sphen86 |

Rush will wear the hat, and gladly as it makes him feel quite dashing.
But I won't get the "if you worship Besmara" perk from it. Do either Jack or Tap worship the Pirate Queen? I can always throw the hat to one of you to use in an emergency when we need a boat.

xeyed-jack |

Jack worships Besmara; the whole, lets turn a hat into a boat thing seems handy in a pickle.
All of SubicuTap's comments make sense... if the DM is going strictly by those guidelines. So far it looks more like he wants to RP it (which I'm totally cool with, especially if there are like really interesting opportunities to gain infamy...)

Sphen86 |

Felt like I gave GM Nayr a bunch of homework :)
Not near as much homework as you just did to gather all this information.

GM Nayr |

Awesome work Sub. Yeah, some homework for me, but shouldn't be an issue.
We'll close out the infamy check as a fail. I was allowing it to be extended due to how darn close you were, but we'll go by the books per request and you can try again during your stay.
Yes, the runes are consumable, like a scroll they burn up after application. These are a cool way to personalize yourweapons and add a history to them.
I'll get to work on the list, but may be next week before I have it all done.

SubiculumHammer |

GM Nayr, yeah I do not envy the task as different players have come and gone, people starting at different points in the AP. Perhaps a shortcut would be to have us choose among the items the things we wish to keep (e.g. Jack and his mithral shirt), and then give each of us the difference from the wealth by level guidelines, prorated for ~9800xp.

TapTap |

I've been adding claims to the note column.
Folks, I propose that thr cost of items that are mostly for the benefit of the group be shared by the group (e.g. Bethsara'd tricorne, wand of CLW), but armor and such are to the individual.

SubiculumHammer |

Surrender? argh I hate phone's autocorrect. That was meant to be Sure, more adventurous folk might get an itch to move on, but I've lived long enough to know that many just want a roof, enough to eat, and peace for their family. They've done nicely here, these folk..and as such, am glad to bring my business. Still, there is lots to see in this world..I'ma getting an itch to go sailing through the shackles.
