Certainly hope so...2nd level would be very nice right now!

Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
Hmmm...just noticed that in order to prepare spells I need to commune with my Spirit Animal. Hope my Osprey turns up at some stage, otherwise I'm severely neutered. I have no spells at the moment, so its just as well I didn't cast any!
If I'm now 2nd level, however, I can still use my new Hex: Evil Eye.

How does levelling up work in-game: do we just wake up better than the day before?
I'm not sure. But I'm getting a monkey!
Don't worry; he'll show up sometime;)
It's basically instantaneous, but it usually happens at the end of some XP-yielding event, so it seems like it's done at a break
Well written Tap; that's the idea - helps to have friends!
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
Right, so 2000xp to advance, and we all have 1200. That's still at least one huge rumble away. (:
Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
Jack, I think we have the requisite 2k. We secured 800 for the post-match Diplomacy :-)
we got 800xp for our kick ass diplomacy I think. I think a spoiler comment from the gm mentioned that.

I wish I could set a default avatar per campaign page.
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
guess I didn't read the spoiler
but good news!

Some NPC might help bring Jack some fresh water maybe..else the fish gets over fried while Jack was out +2 bonus
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
Well, the cook might be friendly to me, if he's sober.
D'oh! That's my fault; my math was wrong. Yes, indeed, you have 2k XP, so please level up now!
No...my math was right...I just didn't put 2 and 2 together.
Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
Jack, the professions skill is a trained skill, which means that you have to have ranks in it to use it. Instead, you can use survival to butcher the pig, and intelligence to cook. Your roll is enough to successfully slaughter the pig; please roll an int check and take a +2, enlisting one of your new pals to help - maybe you ask Sandara how the heck to cook or something
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
will do this evening. busy work day
Feel free to ask me for any clarification this evening, Jack.
Moving to a new job next week. I've been at my present one for many many years..kind of nervous.
Good luck! Is it a good move for you?
Oh yeah. Don't even have to move to a new apartment; its just a 20 minute commute from where I live. As far as my career and long-term prospects, very much so and welcomed...still a bit nervous...I've been pretty comfortable where I've been.
Nice, congrats! I hear that, I just changed from working in the office to working at home, and thought even that was a big step.

Nice roll their master chef. I think your ham is cooked now.
Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
Haha! All totally true Jack - particularly the degradation of social skills; wife's already calling me a slob.
Ouch Jack; so, now the mission would be to keep that cook sober!

In pathfinder rules do pc roll for additional hp or get the full amount?
I see there are a number of different rules people use.
PFS 1st level full HD, the average HD thereafter.
Male Human Taskmaster and Overlord / 10
Best of both - roll; if you get less than half, then take half. If you get more, keep it
Lol; oops. Wrong name, but that's me
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
A better roll that time.
I've updated my character, level 2.

Sea legs too..less likely to get tripped orhave a wave knock me over.
and someday maybe a monkey familiar
Dang, nice roll! I'll update a bit later; taking the kids to the beach

Family first! Have a great time.
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
has Jack recovered fully from this morning's brawl?
Jack got some loot and a skill
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
how does the gambling work?
Yup, all healed - nonlethal comes back at 1 point per hour
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
just to clarify my action: Jack is trying to:
1. gather information about what this pirate ship is up to
2. get friendly with Jack Scrimshaw
3. gather info about PepperyLongfarhtings lab.
I guess that will be Jack's after meal action. Nightwatch actions will depend on result.
Gambling mechanics added to the campaign info thread; please feel free to offer your own in character, if you'd like., and also amend your actions based on this.
Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5
Ack! Those games look more suited for a half-orc.
Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
I'm already working hard enough on this tub without taking on a chore...Arm-wrestling with caltrops? Nope, Kerruk ain't exactly a strongman. Drinking games, nope, I'm rather abstemious at the best of times.
Hog lob...maybe.
FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map
I might have to take a try. I get good rolls with Sea Shanty on extra sea labor.
Male Human (Garundi) Shaman 2 Rogue 2
That really is a very handy ability.
