hm. You are using the get shareable link option?
digital is frustrating too much.
I do note there is a space in the google link you have in your paizo profile.

Thanks for the Father's Day wishes and I return them to you guys. I had a great weekend, hope you all did as well.

Sphen86 |

Looks like we have six vials of alchemist fire. Maybe split them up 2 to each of us except me (since I don't throw very well). Do we want anything more than that? How much money do we really even have? Most of the loot is kind of abstract; "lots of gold and silver", "very expensive harpoon". Does everyone have everything off the communal list that they want? If they do, then I'd like to claim a few more things, like that mithral shirt.

TapTap |

All of the loot is quite confusing and has been kind of spread over multiple players who've since left the game, while newer players started with gold based on their level from official tables. So honestly, I am super confused on what to do with loot.

xeyed-jack |

I think Jack is already wearing that mithral shirt (since a few months ago).
here are a few things i'd like:
* more healing potions
* plenty food, water
* a bow/arrow
* a mosquito net. (:
* a torch or two, or something equivalent.
* A signal whistle (i think we should all have one)
* A spyglass
* A climbers kit
the maybe's if i can get/use them:
* Antitoxin (+5 alchemical bonus on Fortitude against poison)
* Antiplague (similar, against disease)
* Healer's Kit (I'm not a healer, but might be useful)
* Holy water (if I can get it; i'm always nervous about undead)
* Smokestick

GM Nayr |

Best way to do it at this point would be to select any specific items you like, I'll tally/guess at the remainder to liquidate and give you a value in coin. That work for you guys? If so, let me know:
1. What you want from the loot already gotten
2. What you'd like to buy
3. If there's anything you want to keep on the ship and not liquidate

SubiculumHammer |

Sure that works!
I think most people went through and marked what they wanted to keep on the Loot Sheet. I moved those to each persons loot page. I went ahead and distributed healing potions. The rest is group loot to liquidate. I tried to mark where each item came from.
Note Jack, I move your bracers of armor to the group loot because its bonus does not stack with your mithril chain shirt.

Sphen86 |

I'd recommend that the bracers of armor should go to Sunyata since she is monk class and can't were armor. So they'll fit her the best since the rest of us are wearing armor. And Tap should take the potion (?) of spider climb since he is the ranged specialist. He can make the most use of it.
Other than that, Rush can create water and cast the light spell. So that should take care of most of those issues. I'd suggest getting a waterproof lantern in place of a torch, just in case. I also had some anti-toxin and anti-plague to start with, but you can never have enough of those. I specifically agree with whistles, spyglass, and climber's kit(s).
Sunyata, any thoughts?

TapTap |

Ahh Jack, as soon as we may, let us sail to a larger city.
Besides the Tidewater Cutlass isn't bad.
Tap would like to buy a +1 composite shortbow at his strength level. But
he can wait.
Could Jack apply the rune cloth application of shock to the Tidewater cutlass?

SubiculumHammer |

Didnt realize Sunyata was a monk. I wish I could look at your character sheet, but the link in your profile is wrong.
Typically, when you start as a 4th level character (as you did) you start with, let me look it up...6000 GP to spend on items, with certain recommended restrictions. A popular guideline:
Character Wealth by Level can also be used to budget gear for characters starting above 1st level, such as a new character created to replace a dead one. Characters should spend no more than half their total wealth on any single item. For a balanced approach, PCs that are built after 1st level should spend no more than 25% of their wealth on weapons, 25% on armor and protective devices, 25% on other magic items, 15% on disposable items like potions, scrolls, and wands, and 10% on ordinary gear and coins. Different character types might spend their wealth differently than these percentages suggest; for example, arcane casters might spend very little on weapons but a great deal more on other magic items and disposable items.
If there was another number or approach GM Nayr advised you with then ignore all this.

SubiculumHammer |

I am confused by Sunyata's character sheet. Probably because I'm not familiar with monks. It seems to have some barbarian rage features.. I also can't tell if it is better for her to use weapons or to do unarmed fighting.
I do note she rolled a 1 for hp at level 4. We have a different minimum..was it half the die?

Sphen86 |

I took half on level up. I also agree on the manacles. I've played with some people that sell everything they get in order to buy the stuff they specifically want and end up with no utility items. I don't agree with that. I like to hold onto magic items like that, even if they may only be useful in the future.

xeyed-jack |

what i really wanted to do was to apply that to a keen blade. but I'll go ahead and have it applied to the Tidewater Cutlass.
on an aside, I sort of have mixed feelings about just being able to catalog order magic items. on the one hand, its pretty convenient, provided you have the cash, and i suppose that one might expect there to be quite a few magic items floating around. On the other hand, I think of the great traditions of fantasy and roleplaying, and really, I feel magic items are the sorts of things that heroes acquire, for example in an old haunted barrow, or troll den. (:

Sphen86 |

To play off of what Sub said, I tried running a super low magic campaign without those bonus progressions. It boiled down to the BAB of every high level melee character pretty much guaranteeing a hit because armor class wasn't progressing with magic items. So the game assumes that at certain levels that the party will have a certain amount of gear, but also has the rules to limit the more unique items (wondrous items). This is also a discussion I've had with some players of the older (ie 2nd) editions. But if we ever find some slippers of spider climb (hint, hint, GM), I want them bad.
Otherwise, are we equipped? Do we want to set forth into the dark and terrible jungles and find Dr. Livingston? Or at least the menace that is terrifying the local fauna?

SubiculumHammer |

I'm equipped. Tap is going to save his gold for some big city shopping, and because of that he will take the quiver of +1 arrows.
One thing I like about the automatic bonus progression (ABP) is magic items become more interesting. In regular play, belts of strength or dexterity and other flat bonuses are probably best mechanically, but kind of boring. In APB, the magic items you do get can't have +X enhancements (you get comparable bonuses through ABP), so you get items with interesting magical effects, like a sword of rage in which with each successful hit in a melee, it deals more damage as it fills you with blood lust, etc.

Happy Birthday! This is the best type of holiday to have your birthday on. Most people get off work, but there aren't more presents to buy, so you should still get plenty.
To everyone who celebrates it (and kind of even to those that don't); HAPPY 4th of JULY!

Sphen86 |

Okay, it's been pretty clear that you guys know each other outside of the game. Twins? Just happened to have the same birthday? What's the haps?
