She did her best to suppress a laugh. She remembered Ryo's merciless teasing and decided to not comment. His siblings would give him a hard enough time.
"Okay, that's fine. They're kinetic stabilizers. For Fei. So he doesn't make any more earthquakes. Sound urgent enough for you?"
"You can leave them there. I'll take care of the rest. No, I'm fine, I just overdid things a bit taking care of the earthquake. Nothing wrong with me except exhaustion. You should go ahead and get some dinner. In the dining hall. I know you've been conjuring meals into the room, but your friends are starting to worry about you. It wouldn't hurt for you and Fieri to make an appearance. Other than for slurk cleaning duty, which you forgot last night. I made excuses for you, but Vakkler's likely to be in a foul mood tonight so be prepared."
Jiminy blushed beet red and looked a bit sheepish. "Ummm. Yeah. Er, thanks, Mom...I'll just be going now...."
Aananda chuckled as she took the objects out of the box. She was glad that her youngest son was happy.
She stood up and placed the thick metal bands around Fei's wrists and ankles. They automatically sized themselves to fit him and a faint glow could almost be seen.
She nodded to herself. So far, so good. It looked like the cuffs were functioning as they were supposed to.
"Naw. Not disappointed at all. They were dealt with, and I didn't have to waste any of my energies on them. It is kind of fun to watch them get frustrated when they realize they can't harm me. Besides, Asch definately needs an outlet for his rage more than I do, and Solivala...seems most handy in most situations. Makes my job easier, so why be disappointed?"
"Okay, just checking. I'd feel bad if you missed out just because you were worried about me."
"Hey, I think that's Solivala up there. If we hurry we can catch up."
"You should go ahead and get some dinner. In the dining hall."
Saffire pounced eagerly on the bite of fish Kitty gave him, tearing it to shreds as he devoured it.
"You know, we could get a tank with a bunch of little fish and let him get his exercise that way. Might have to get a little robot to clean the tank though."

Saffire was perfecting his begging technique in the hopes of being given more fish.

Just as Krays and Ephebe start to walk by a closed door a ghoul goes crashing through it. Asch following right behind it with a savage slash of his daggers decapitating the ghoul. He slips into the shadows next to Krays and begins to attack before realization dawns on him and he pulls back his eyes wild his breathing short and quick. "What…I thought you were out side still…" He says trying to avoid mentioning his near attack. He seems off…
"And just who are you little one? I know all the dragons here and I have never seen you before." Silver asks as he lands near Saffire. You wouldn't happen to have any extra fish would you…um I'm not actually sure who you are…though I've heard of you your that normal kid master said has no business here. But if you have fish I'll vouch for you I'm very well known here."
"This is Saffire, he's brand new today. And I'm not particularly inclined to give treats to someone who talks that way about Michael. humph."
She relented a little. "But if you're willing to be more polite I guess it wouldn't hurt."
Krays jumps back and casts daylight, driving back the shadows
"Asch? What in the...calm the hell down, man. You're losing control.
Think of Amada, and calm yourself..."

Fei shifts in the bed again...but this time without the faint tremor afterwards. The wounds across his body appear to have completely healed.
His eyes finally open about 20 minutes later.
"....What...happened...?" he asks, his voice a bit faint.
"Oh, so you two finally decided to grace us with your presence again?" he said, teasing as (a much less disheveled) Jiminy and Fieri walked into the cafeteria.
Jiminy blushed bright red, an unusual reaction for him since he had a reputation for being impossible to embarrass.
"Ummm........errrr....."
Feiri laughed. "I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunity to tease him after we eat, 'kay?"

The bands on your wrists and ankles are designed to absorb the excess kinetic energy. You'll need to plug them into the main system to drain them whenever they start glowing solid green. That means they're full. Don't worry. I'll show you how to do it. It's pretty easy."

He reopens his eyes and looks around the Infirmary before returning his gaze to the Professor. "I did not...mean to injure...anybody..." he quietly intones as a very haunted look passes over his face.
"..though I've heard of you your that normal kid master said has no business here. But if you have fish I'll vouch for you I'm very well known here."
"As that normal normal kid that has no business being here," Michael says through clenched teeth, "I think I'll let you know that Saffire is Kitty's and not mine."
Solivala was looting the place the golem collecting things he pointed out, along with a number of clockwork helpers from the gate which was sitting open near by.
"I…I'm ok…" Asch says as the daggers disappear. "I just… I'm not sure what's going on right now."

"Well, your master is definitely mistaken about Michael. He definitely belongs here. I'm quite certain of it. Oh, all right, you can have some fish too. Don't look so sad. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be okay," she said, giving Silver a piece of fish too and then promptly giving Saffire another piece to prevent him from stealing Silver's.
"Looks like bloodlust is what's going on here", he says with concern.
"Ephebe lets get Soli and Asch out of here. I think we're done, and we still have to save Amada..."
"Yeah, we've been through the whole place and there doesn't seem to be anything else clinging to unlife now so we really should go. We can get back to the school in a day or so, and then Amada will be cured and everything is going to be okay. Just...try and focus on that right now, okay, Asch? Come on, there really isn't anything left to kill here. How about you and I start heading back to the skimmer while Krays gets Soli. The sooner we get you out of here the better I think. Too many bad memories here."
LK gives a little wave.
"Okay, I've been here a day and haven't really seen the appeal. What is there to do around here?"
Jiminy grinned. "If I didn't have slurk-cleaning duty this evening I'd be glad to show you. But I guess Dennis will have to do. Fieri has band practice tonight."

Solivala recalls everything thru the gate. Then flies off on his dark cloud towards the skimmer. He thought about leveling the place, but choose to let it be.
"I cannot believe this butterfly-winged gecko is somehow related to the destructive dragons of legend. Or even Asch's familiar for that matter." Michael thinks as he takes a drink and watches Saffire tear apart more fish.
