Well I figured there'd be some kind of "Welcome to Agartha" intro class for new students that would be required to fill them in on the history of the place and some no-no's and such.

Remember that(with very few exceptions) the students of Avalon are Agarthian natives.

I can re-work the back story, its no biggie. If you click on the profile it's there. I can change to suit, don;t want to cause anymore work for ya'll than necessary :P

Ahh ok! So then would there be a class like this, or jsut a small group meeting with Ryo for a few days or hours?
My idea is that in addition to Agartha, the Underdark exists lower down. But I can't perfectly remember whether Agartha is in the core, so the Underdark may actually be technically 'higher up'. Either way, would this work, or should there just not be an Underdark?

Hm... perhaps a class, but with someone a bit more interested in history and etiquette than Ryo. As a Seer, he's more concerned with the present and the future, and can usually avoid making a social mistake.
As for where the Underdark is, I believe when E7 was part of our group he said it was 'higher'.
Well, one of the things krays likes to do with his free time is to use form of the dragon: black spell and go for a fly...this could cause some heartburn I'd imagine...

If it's the latter, then I'll gladly provide what I feel is justification for composing that scene in the hopes you can provide insight as to why you felt it was a poor choice for me to do so. I'm always eager to learn from others. :-)

Well, I thought he was just being glib...plus blaming the ooze was my character's action. It was Aananda who made the comment about this being why it was a bad idea to have oozes in the pipes.
Oh, heck no, I'm not being serious! I love the character. It wasn't meant to be an indictment of you, the character, or the writing at all. If it came off that way, then you'll have to forgive me. It was definitely not intentional. I'm just being my usual snarky self (and you woulnd't be the first to point out my... unusual... sense of humor at times.)

I did indeed assume a certain amount of snark was in play, esp. with the presence of emoticons (as Kryzbyn points out) but you happened to hit on a point I'm trying hard to keep reigned in with this character, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't losing the handle on writing for her.
I also totally didn't make the connection that you were referring to Anaanda's comments, so that's my bad. Sorry for that misunderstanding on my part.

I think one of the things I like best is the feeling I get of this really actually being a school -- there's always a group of folks doing something-or-other together, and then there's always a bunch of others off by themselves either dealing with other individuals (like Ryo and Anaanda's conversation) or beasties (Vakkler, Sinh), etc. etc. and then everyone eventually crosses paths. It's a great vibe. Fun place to kick around in.
Way cooler than my high school, that's for sure, though granted that's maybe not saying much. >_>

The likelihood of this is depressingly high. Ephebe's at about the end of her tether and one nasty comment from Nala is likely to start a fistfight. :)
