Will get a post up as soon as I can, incidentally, about to head into the city for my birthday weekend, but there should be a lull at some point.
Hello all! Glad to be part of this table. I have never played anything in The Savage Tide and I am looking forward to it. When I first saw what it was I was wishing for some 3.5 shenanigans, but I will equally enjoy this!
I will be away in nature and unable to access the game from Friday evening 5/23 through Monday evening 5/26. My hope is that since this is a holiday weekend it's least disruptive. I should be able to resume posting that Monday evening.
Hey Tedros! Fellow Half-Orc Druid. What route are you looking to focus on with Tedros. I can really head in any direction as far as focusing on caster/combat/polymorph.

Wait we have two half works AND THEY'RE BOTH DRUIDS?? This could be interesting
Nathrae the Ruby-Chosen Drow Elf Oracle of Bones
Nassor, night watchman Human Shaman of Serendipity
Lily Whitehill Half-Elf Investigator
Oridak Din Half-Orc Druid with a pet Anaconda
Tedros Half Orc Druid Saurian Shaman with a pet Dino
Aliyah Endayo Human Brawler 'Battledancer'
Jetsam Human Swashbuckler 'Rondelero'
Daniel 'Trace' Tracelon Human Rogue

In the long run the basis is intended to be on wildshape, so probably less in-combat healing except for emergency.
Out of combat: patching up, navigating/orienteering.

On knowledge stuff:
Nassor will keep adding to Planes, Religion and Geography (not really needed with 2 druids but 5 ranks required for Stargazer); at some point he'll have to add history and arcana as well if he wants to use Ritual Hex, but that's a long way out.
He'll probably give up pursuing Know (Nature) and let Tedros/Oridak handle that.
Lily and Trace seem to have Know (Arcane, Dungeoneering and Local) taken care of.

FYI Will be away in nature next Saturday (6/7) and returning mid- to late-afternoon (US/Pacific time) Sunday (6/8) when I'll resume posting. This trip is just a portion of the weekend so I expect minimum to no disruption.

Do we know if the ship is docked, or moored? Docked we might be able to sneak on; moored in the harbor we'd have to either buy a boat or talk somebody into taking us out?

Not sure, but are we on the clock with this job? If not it could be helpful to only scout today before coming back later to hit it. That would give Nassor chance to prep better spells (Sleep for example.)
a days rest for spell prep is reasonable and no you are not on a clock per sey but.... her creditors are only so patient so you got a few days if you need it.

On boat breakdowns (including “quiet” people
Stealth rankings (i think? May have missed armor and this of course doesn’t include buffs)
Trace: +8
Nathrae: +8
Aliyah: +4
Jetsam: +4
Lily: +4
Tedros: +3
Oridak: +3
Nassor: +1
So if we were doing bow/stern boat approach, splitting like this would give each group a stealthy type, plus multiple good spotters
Hey all! I am back from my three weeks of trips. I need to catch up on things around the house, get caught up on postings, but then I'll be right back into the thick of things. Thank you for your understanding of me being gone.
I love the idea of a beefy himbo dragonheir fighter advancing into dragon disciple with a single caster level. With all the magus, buckleswashers, and monks a meaty fighter sounds good.
edit: Though just straight dragonheir is probably the best option.
I think the Zelkarune's Horns and champion district make an amazing combination with a dragonheir. From iconography, to feats and district trait. Even has the added benefit of Greyhawk deities including Bahamut.
Cool, I can get some work done now that I have figured it out.
I think I have a reasonable idea whom my amnesiac will end up "propitiating" too, although he needs some levels first to be actually mechanically capable of doing that :).
This is GuardYourPrivates submission. A simple fighter (dragonheir) with a focus on intimidation.
Have to finish his shopping and get his backstory/description written out. A son of a draconic sorceress of some repute in the noble district. Tried to get him tutelage to raise her own prestige and stock among nobles (Which she is not.) but he failed as a sorcerer. Figure he is an initiate trained by Zelkarune's Horns. Keeps up to date on nobles and cares about prestige. Though mostly for his mother's sake. Doesn't have much personal ambition other than maybe becoming some kind of cool hero.
That sounds kind of childish but should read better in full.
Nassor still needs a bit of gear and I'll surely second-guess some choices up until the deadline, but he's pretty much done.
Long-term plan would be some Stargazer levels, which feel appropriate for Celestian and would be helpful if there are demons later. (I'd forgotten how weird Greyspace astronomy is, btw.)
Also studying maps to decide where Nassor's second wife lives. (I recommend Anna Meyer's maps of the Flanaess, which include neat things like trade routes and political influences of cities.)
Hey! Cartographer here. Things got busy as school is wrapping up. I need to finish shopping and picking out my feat/traits. One question I had before going down that road is how will you be doing initiative? I don't want to take something like improved initiative if you do a group roll.
I try to do initiative the standard way. If things bog down due to it being the interwebs I may group ithem. if that happens i would let you switch out the feat for free
I'm imagining a half-orc druid, native to some nearby island (jungle half-orc or mystic heritage) who spends a lot of time on ships as a guide of the nearby islands. Regardless of archetype or plain druid, I imagine this character being highly based on wildshape.
I need a short paragraph about why a local noble would be looking for you to hire you.
Tedros is well known amongst the local merchants and ship captains as a reliable guide between the local islands, and for knowing the safest paths on them. He knows fact from rumor when it comes to whispers of exotic dinosaur creatures existing on certain islands. A noble looking to partake in trade of exotic animals in Azure District might seek out his services to drastically cut their search and collection time. Tedros is not exactly excited about such a prospect, being raised to consider them as equal citizens of the lands he came from.
Trace walkled into tavern where the meet was set up. He was dressed as he usually was, Loose fitting clothing so if he fell in the water hed be able to swim. It happened enough in the docks. He saw the contact sitting in at booth with a few guards nearby. He walked up and stood saying Hiya kind sir. Names Daniel Tracelon...'Trace.' Yur guy said ta meet ya here. Nice place. Never been uptown. Can I sit? When the gentleman nodded Trace sat opposit him. His hands he put on the table, as was custom, down in the docks when talking business. So your hands could be seen with no weapons. Im a dockworker, like my Da before me, and his Da before him. Ize have a knack of taking care of things, ifn ya catch my drift. Im a handy guy, and never have anys complained about myze work. I knows my ways around can get in and out quicklike and leave no Trace, ifn ya knows what I mean. Im handy in a tough spot too. Knows myze ways around a tussle. Im not one of youze merc types, no ways. Im more stealth like. Good ta watch yur back. I needs the money. Since my Da was put ta feedin da fishes, Im da support of my brudders and sisterz. Ma is a seamstress, but her eyes are gettin weak and shes not so good with a steady stitch. Nay it falls ta me to take care of dem. Soze Im askin ya to hire me. Ya wont regret it none.
Here's the alias Dragoncat will be using for his drow oracle. Still a bare-bones statblock, but her backstory is written and everything will be filled out soon.
Took me a while to get time and really puzzle out the rest of this guy. All finished now though. Down to his bootstraps and carrying capacity.
Why a noble would hire him.:
Abronze was a name associated with Maric's mother, a sorceress and consort of several different nobles through the years. While her son had failed to become a proper spellcaster he was quietly making something of himself in the arena. His initial training with the horns was coming to a close, and he had shown promise. He had already distinguished himself as being both reliable and sturdy. That makes him a potential bargain for any noble looking to invest in a strong arm.
Guy is also extra thick and should work really well with all the dex builds and gishes I am seeing.
Alrighty, Nathrae's stats, gear and background are done!
Now, as to why she should be hired...
Why Hire Nathrae?:
Nathrae has been something of a curiosity in Sasserine's aristocratic and religious circles for some time now. She was brought to the city seventeen years before the start of the campaign and has had some time to be more-or-less decently adjusted to polite society. Her hiring would actually come on the recommendation of one of the city's more prominent noble houses--namely, Lady Anwyn Arabani. Given her fascination with all things drow and claiming descendance from their nobility, she'd be happy to vouch for Nathrae to anyone who sought to employ her services.
I opted for unchained barbarian invulnerable rager. Need to tweak skills and review character sheet for details.
Torgar lost his family from a raid. This has given him a very strong desire to protect those around him. He is a bit older than the standard adventurer being a farmer beforehand. It is quite likely that Torgar’s passion and willingness to throw himself into harm’s way for those around him would catch the notice of someone looking to protect themselves or to protect a group.
So far and with out any order other than how i wrote them down we have...
Finished (as far as i can tell)

I will still consider charector concepts if you have it basically worked out with a good background and reason to be hired. as goes without saying if i missed you speak up! :)
Oh, I guess I forgot to post with this profile. This is PaleDim's "90%'ish submission." He's "done" except I haven't chosen his Nature's Bond nor finalized archetype (or plain druid), but those only take minutes and will be done before we start.
For concept there this:

and essentially a lot of hangups about being from a primitive orc tribe but having one human parent. Sometimes he plays into the fact that people are intimidated by his background, but he's a bit of a reticent goof at heart and is a somewhat different person to those he gets close to.
Her recent success in the arena has made her a rising star. Her stunning appearance, exotic dress and intoxicating fighting style drawing every eye. Few who have seen her fight fail to tell others of the experience, not only for the memorable beauty of her movements, but for the fact that strikes landed with bare hands and feet seem to have the power of a well honed oaken staff. She would add quite a bit of unexpected martial prowess to any venture and could be especially useful in places where weapons might not be allowed.
It’s probably way too late, but if I can still sneak in under the wire, I might throw something together posthaste. I’ll go ahead and throw in some rolls then try to come up with an idea. (But don’t wait up for me either.)
I think I’m going to put together an Undine Ranger (Abendego Diver). Not sure how much underwater combat the AP has, but he’ll be ready if there is any. Why do people want to hire him? More later, but in a sentence, he’s an illegitimate scion of the Islarans. Not in position to be an heir, but still someone you might want to have on your side if you want to curry favor with the Dockmaster, and he knows a lot of the ins and out of how things work on the docks, who to talk to if you want move things along a bit, etc.
