Present with you all are Lydia and Andrew.
Onfroi, has of course withdrawn from your Coterie.

Storyteller Shadow |

FYI, I am going to wait to reply until everyone is posted up (i.e. dotted) into the campaign. Plus I want you all to be able to tell whatever you want to tell about what happened from your perspective.

Storyteller Shadow |

One holdover reminder from the last thread that pertains to the next night in game. That was the night you were all supposed to meet with Xing and Vitaliano out on the Lido. While the purpose of that meeting is now moot, essentially feeling out Clan Nosferatu's knowledge related to the activities of the Hunter's, if any, Andrew for one would want to go as to not leave Xing hanging.
That does not mean you all have to go, but it's what he will do.

Storyteller Shadow |

If I need to try some social roll of some sort to NOT tick of Bion, let me know ;)
I will let you know!

Storyteller Shadow |

Is Andrew with us, now?
Unless you are planning a TPK on the Lido... Alessandro would like to check on Xing.
Yes this scene picks up RIGHT after the battle ended.
Andrew and Lydia are still with you.

Storyteller Shadow |

Is the power vacuum a free for all or it has to go to one of Narses' childer?
Meaning could Franz (probably not powerful enough) or Alexander of Paris claim the seat?
We shall see :-)

Uwe von Roth |

Howdy again.

Storyteller Shadow |

There are 3 of you who can empower themselves on the blood of Dunstan - Geoffroi (who just ate one of his Childer), Ranerius who would drop a generation, and Alessandro, who would only move one step to 6th while the other PCs would move to 5th via Diablerie of Dunstan.
Or you can simply destroy him outright with no Amaranth committed.

Storyteller Shadow |

Do we know whom he consumed to get to where he is? Nameless or named characters in the chronicle? Or was he embraced as 5th?
Michele and Lorenzo saw/heard him Diablerize Sister Maria Bellarosa, the Childe of Criatias and Camarilla Scion of Clan Brujah, followed by one of the Childer of (the Former) Prince Alexander that Alexander used as his personal Herd. In fact, a few members of the Coterie chomped down on those gals. Only one survived the "rescue" scene.

Storyteller Shadow |

If allowed I'll buy the Fortitude 1 and increase Ranerius already impressive WP with the exp I have left. The extra WP would definitely come in handy if he tries soul slupring
OK!

Uwe von Roth |

Just as a head's up. I will be taking a trip from Friday through Monday. I am not sure how my posting will be in that time so feel free to bot me as needed.

Storyteller Shadow |

FYI taking the weekend off from posting due to the Holiday and the need to prep for my returning table top game as well as get a new PbP game up and running.
---
Up to the Coterie if they wish to explain more than Ranerius already did re the Hunter resolution.
Also need to decide: 1 - where to stay the night and 2 - how to destroy Dunstan (straight up beheading versus Diablerie).
Remember, this CURRENT night the Hunters will still be out in force as it will take a day, maybe two, for the Doge's men to oust the force currently present.
Probably safer to wait that out before trying to return Nicolo.
Last thing before my break. Michele cannot try and summon Moses again till the next night as his Summoning failed, but I am sure that Lorenzo still wishes to connect with him relatively soon!

Storyteller Shadow |

Give some thought to how you want to "dispose" of Sir Dunstan and where and whether you want to stay with Lord Bion or head to the Querini Compound, or stay at Narses hidden Haven or something else....
Feel free to pick up that RP today.
---
Uwe, obviously you'll need me to be back to pick up again. See my announcement link above.

Storyteller Shadow |

I think Ranerius is going to suck him down. Question, where can he do so discretely with minimum witnesses? :) I think he's shy about it.
You are about to enter quite the secure compound, should be a place to do it right there. You didn't head into the basement as Michele did but you certainly can tonight...

Storyteller Shadow |

I must have misread. Thought he was rendezvousing with her... and I wished to tag along.
Then when he was leaving, figured "oh well" what are ya gonna do?
Nope, he's out!

Storyteller Shadow |

Just an FYI here, I had specific plans for how the city would play itself out after you all left. That being said, your actions in this chronicle may now change that! There is no straight jacket here, support who you like, hell you can all even split your support for who you see as the best candidate or maybe you all see the Lasombra as the wrong choice entirely. I presume that Uwe would support his Sire, but his Sire did leave him down in Torpor until it was "safe" to bring him back up so maybe Uwe will not like that idea either!
Bottom line, this chronicle will not run as long as the prior one and your actions will have a direct impact on the city and perhaps beyond.
This chronicle ends when succession for Prince is complete.

Storyteller Shadow |

Honestly I forget who all the contenders are and what Ranerius thought of them. I do know he is thinking of letting Kestrel go to influence the politics. I do know he might sell his vote for certain boons ;)
Vampires:
The Lasombra Triumvirate:
Magdalena Castelucci Borcellino , Alejandro “the Prince in Exile”, and Lord Leopold Valdemar
None of you have ever spoken to Magdalena, ever.
You are all familiar with Alejandro as he was the one that Xing asked to speak at length regarding the origin of the Methuselah that he and his brood mate, Radek, as well as some others, woke up a few centuries ago. Not sure if any of you had any other interactions with him. He was mostly involved with Xing when she was a PC.
This is your third meeting with Valdemar, the first was to announce that some of the group was captured (I believe that only Alessandro and Geoffroi were present for that), the second was to discuss strategy to go after the Hunters (clearly that meeting prompted him to wake up Uwe from Torpor).

Storyteller Shadow |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

As for how any of you feel about the potential candidates, that I do not recall. You were all probably too concerned for your continued existence to think too deeply about post Narses politics.

Uwe von Roth |

Uwe is going to stick with his Sire for now. Waking up after a hundred years without some connection to what is going on currently would be unwise. We will see how that plays out though.

Alessandro Khadaji |

I actually didn't catch that bit, as I didn't reread the whole thing!
Powder keg?
I mean did anyone else in the coterie react to that bit?! Were we sworn to secrecy or something?! LOL
I tend to think tell him and level the playing field... I don't know he doesn't know and assume he knows what the others of the triumvirate know.
From the mouth of Cainite babes...

Alessandro Khadaji |

Also, asking nicely for story's sake (not the Japanese wine)... although the Methuselah from the East might bring some :)
During those convos, you mentioned in a spoiler that Alessandro senses something is off about Bernardo's story. Did Alessandro ever figure out (or did anyone from the coterie clue him in as to) what... was it the partaking of Narses?

Storyteller Shadow |

Good link Alessandro! It seems like there was also a meeting in three nights with Alejandro and Radek at the Blue Mongoose I completely forgot about.
That would, in theory, take place after the meeting you have with Xing and Vitaliano on the Lido.
It's a good opportunity to meet with Alejandro too and get his take on how he sees the Princeship. That I assume, you will leave out of the explanation.

Storyteller Shadow |

I'm just leveling the playing field... were we told not to share?
Not at all, Savio knew and he may well have told Valdemar! I just wanted to make sure that you were going to share everything as I didn't want a case where later a player says, well I didn't tell him that! my table top players are notorious for trying to take things back when they walked too fair afield...

Alessandro Khadaji |

Not me, Boss... I'm like worse than... a Paladin.
Also...
The Ventrue turns back to Bernardo and kneels, "I admire your conviction in the face of overwhelming adversity. It serves you well but may well end up sending you to the Final Death. But it will not this night.
You owe the Prince of Padua nothing now. That was his Sire you killed.
You have made allies of Narses enemies and enemies of Narses allies".
That seems damn damning of the Prince of Padua. Sounds like with ordered, plotted or facilitated Narses' end.
Just making sure I understand.

Nope, the quote is out of context, but you would have to speak to Bernardo to understand what it means. None of you in game are privy to that information.
