Hi all,
My apologies, this last week has been... stressful. I had to fly to another state to deal with a family issue. My father had to undergo a semi-routine medical procedure, but he had some sort of breakdown during the procedure. The doctors suspect it's from the anesthetic, it's put him in a state of dementia. We're hoping he will recover, but the week was extremely busy and very draining. I spent most of last night and today sleeping.
I'll try to get back to posting this week, as soon as I have energy to GM.

Do what you need to first, mdt. I know the holidays can be stressful as well, on top of what you have to deal with.

Roderick MacDuncan |

Hey MDT, no apologies needed. I hope your dad gets to feeling better soon. Take all the time you need.

Connor of McIntyre |

Will try to post this morning.

Roderick MacDuncan |

Hey guys, sorry for going radio silent. I did some holiday travelling and had a technical breakdown that left me (unexpectedly) without internet access. I just got back this evening and will post in a bit. I will be a bit spotty through the rest of the end of the year between work and holiday stuff.

Connor of McIntyre |

Just saw that it's Connor's turn - will post today.

Connor of McIntyre |

What is going on with that skyship? Just when Rory and Connor write off the skyship getting away, Adran puts the odds in our favor of getting the ship back again! Go, Adran & Alys!
Connor's out of power points for astral constructs, unless he uses power stones, and those will be the little ones for 2 hours or 2 rds each.
Connor's going to save Elara with Rory. Maybe if he takes a Perception check, or a nudge from Hero, will tell him what's going on.

Adraniel |

Never give up never surrender. know one said nothing about not crashing it ;)

Connor of McIntyre |

It's the Misfits of Psionics' tradition! Blow up the safehouse, explode the portal to another dimension, crash the skyship!

Connor of McIntyre |

Aw, man! Quick! Get to the downed skyship! We still got a chance!

Alys |

On the deck, the lizardfolks takes attack's of Opportunity on Alys!
[dice=Claw]1d20+10
[dice=Claw]1d20+10
[dice=Damage]1d10+8
[dice=Damage]1d10+8Blood splatters the deck, and just before Alys can grab the ship's wheel, she collapses atop the other lizardfolk's body, blood flowing.
-7 HP, stabilize check or autohypnosis, unless you have a gauze
The lizardfolk in the back tries to take control of the wheel!
[dice=Pr(Sailor)]1d20+3
My AC is 22, how did they hit me?

Connor of McIntyre |

Alys at -9. Adran has Hero on him. This is the reason I put a Psionic Tattoo of Natural Healing (1 pp, 3 hp) onto Hero himself. So on Connor's turn Hero can jump onto Alys, move the tattoo onto her, and activate it.
Wait a minute...Alys' character sheet says she has 3 Tattoos of Natural Healing! Adran, search her and tap one!
And a tattoo of Inevitable Strike - why wasn't she using that to hit the stupid lizardmen? :)

Alys |

I was thinking about using it when shooting the sniper but it went reasonably werll so I decided to save it. Might have used it on the steering lizardman, had I had gauge on how good his AC was with the big ones around.
But honestly after the snuiper went down I kind of forgot I had it.
Also there is this thing with me and consumables, where I always hoard them because I keep thinking there might be a time when i need them more.

Adraniel |

Adren doesn't know she has those. He certainly wouldn't search for them when he is trying to keep her from drowning. She is also not in the water now and I don't have her.

Adraniel |

I corrected above saying I don't have here. I ninja'd you with an edit.

Connor of McIntyre |

In that case, as soon as Adran is above the deck Hero the psicrystal is going to wiggle free of his necklace and drop onto the deck, so he can scurry over to Alys and activate a tattoo!
If she didn't have a Gladiator's Gauze already. Have to check my notes...

Connor of McIntyre |

No problem - pick a color, or construct.

Connor of McIntyre |

The reason for Connor to get 20+ ranks in Craft: Sculpting is so he can roll 30 or better on making astral constructs, in which case they will look like specific individuals. So if the next one actually looks like Elara... ;)

Connor of McIntyre |

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!

Connor of McIntyre |

Still here. I think at this point we're all hoping the reptiles actually take control of the skyship for a controlled, soft landing, so that our crewmates will survive.

Connor of McIntyre |

Yes! We're out of the ambush on the smugglers, and nobody died (for long).
But we don't exactly have much to show for it. Now to dig through the wreckage of the skyship for anything salvageable. We also used a lot of power stones and tattoos.
Maybe we can find a ship's log, smugglers' notes, something of value. We also appear to have two runaways - one by sea, one into the forest. We'll have to keep alert for those two.

mdt |

Crashed ship link, and the 3 investigating it are on the map.
The sections with reddish blocked out bits are where the engineering section exploded. The bits with the brownish blocked out bits are where the front of the ship slammed into the trees and ground and those portions of the ship are all but destroyed.
The bits that look like flames are flames. :)
We'll go round by round exploring the ship, as it's burning and the fire will spread.

Adraniel |

I already posted I was landing and looking around on there. What more do you need.

I need you to put yourself on the ship where you land. It's a dangerous environment, and where you land determines what you can see and what might or might not happen when you land. I don't want to be accused of putting you down in a bad spot.

Adraniel |

Well first think is, I don't have control of the token. Second I'm not going to land in the fire. We are going to land look around and recon the ship and save anything that doesn't endanger ourselves too much. This would go much smoother and faster for you to narrate it out based on rolls. Maybe a piece of the ship does collapse and we take some damage or what not, but this is the area in play by post that will just bog down and take for ever while waiting for all to post.

Connor of McIntyre |

Ok, players being cautious. :) Nothing wrong with that.
Connor, Elara, and Rory are several hundred feet away. Oh, for Fold Space. It'll take a few minutes to fly over there. And then drop astral constructs on it to look around.
Here's when I wonder why no one ever canonized Buckets of Holding for holding several gallons of water. Oh yeah, create water, summon monster II: water elemental, etc.

mdt |

A) Next time, let me know that rather than not posting.
B) Fine, if your character dies, don't yell at me. I'll randomly place him on the ship using die rolls. If he lands in the squares that are unsafe, that'll be rolls to you. No complaints, as I asked you to put yourself on.

Adraniel |

Sorry the last post did come off as snarky about the token. I didn't intend it to be was just wondering why this was turning into another encounter of sorts.
What I mean by die rolls is as the game master have something in place as far as perception. Maybe I fail and land it a vulnerable place. Maybe there is a percent chance something blows up. The point I was making is this could have been handled narativly by you to not bog down the game after a long combat. Not just make it all random out of spite. Let's just move on and keep things moving.

mdt |

I've had people in this game complain before when I did the rolls for them and they ended up in a bad situation, someone quit over it. I would prefer not to be on the receiving end again. I just wanted you to pick where you were going to land. The perception check you made, with the penalties for the fire and smoke, was too low to notice broken bits of deck, or that certain things were likely to fall soon. Rather than pick a location that was either safe (and thus negate the danger) or pick a bad location (and thus put your character in danger), I wanted you to pick where you landed.
If you push it on to me, I'm going to randomize it because either way, so I don't have to worry about being either easy or hard on you (been accused of both).

Adraniel |

It's cool. I don't mind you keeping things random and keeping the game moving with Adran. Just for future reference.

Roderick MacDuncan |

On review, I'm a little confused. I thought Elara were with Rory/Conner and I was with Alys/Adran (I gave Alys my tattoos). Is that right? I assume my drinking the potion is the same round as Adran flying down to the ship?

mdt |

Yes, Elara was flying over with you, although she got ahead of you. She can't make it into the ship until next round. Same with Connor getting over. Basically, they jumped a round after Ad fell inside. You'd be getting there with them about the same time.

Connor of McIntyre |

Sorry if I'm outta order again!
If we can put these fires out, we can salvage more.
Or, we can grab what's important and let the fires continue.
I'm for the former. The elementals are already gone, so unless we get some upsadasyim wood, this ship's not flying again. And Connor's out of points, with only a handful of power stone astral constructs for emergencies. Like now. Four or five of them could carry stuff.

Connor of McIntyre |

Wow - Flick is back! That could heal some emotional issues with Connor making astral constructs that look like the Elfavian.
