Wind Reader
A Marksman can use her heightened senses and awareness of her surroundings to read the wind and environment, allowing her to drastically improve her accuracy. While maintaining psionic focus, she can spend a swift action to gain a competence bonus equal to her Wisdom modifier on ranged attacks until the end of the round. She can do this a number of times per day equal to 3 + her class level.
Style Technique
Once a Marksman has reached 2nd level, she may expend her psionic focus while making a full attack with a ranged or thrown weapon to gain one additional attack. This extra attack does not stack with other effects that grant additional attacks such as haste, physical acceleration, or the speed weapon special ability. Beginning at 15th level, this technique does stack with additional attacks such as those from haste, physical acceleration, or the speed weapon special ability.
Style Mantra
Beginning at 3rd level, as long as a volley Marksman maintains psionic focus, she gains a +1 competence bonus to her Initiative and Reflex saves. At 7th level and every four Marksman levels thereafter, the competence bonus improves by 1.
Flurry of Blows (Ex)
Starting at 1st level, a zen archer can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action, but only when using a bow (even though it is a ranged weapon). He may not make a flurry of blows with his unarmed attacks or any other weapons. A zen archer does not apply his Strength bonus on damage rolls made with flurry of blows unless he is using a composite bow with a Strength rating.
A zen archer’s flurry of blows otherwise functions as normal for a monk of his level.
A zen archer cannot use Rapid Shot or Manyshot when making a flurry of blows with his bow.
Zen Archery (Ex)
At 3rd level, a zen archer may use his Wisdom modifier instead of his Dexterity modifier on ranged attack rolls when using a bow.
This ability replaces maneuver training.
Background:
Elrohir was born an aberration among mutants. With purple hair and silver eyes with no irises, many in his village thought he was cursed, though nothing has ever been proven. Mocked, ridiculed and made fun by the other children his age, it was difficult for him to find a mentor who wasn't put off by his freaky appearance.
On his seventy fifth birthday, his wings sprouted, forever marking his abnormal physiology. Whereas many in the Resalia clan had bat-like wings, Elrohir had wings similar to that of a hummingbird. However, well the wings set him further apart from the rest of his village, they blessed him with a speed none could match. This was proven when the elders held a race to gain the tutelage of the greatest marksman the town had, Amras Quickshot. Elrohir easily won, taunting the youths who mocked him as a child. This earned him the nickname Flick, which was short for flickering annoyance.
His training began in earnest, and Flick was an apt pupil, quickly picking up the basics of archery, as well as the rudimentary meditation techniques that all marksman learn in order to harness the wind.
Sadly, all did not end well for Elrohir, as the wind is a fickle master. One day, he was out practicing, and a stray breeze caught up his arrow mid flight, and impaled it directly in Amras' eye. While not a fatal blow, it left the older man blind in that eye and that ended his teaching. Shortly thereafter, Flick found himself harassed once again by the kids his age, and he decided to put the village he grew up in behind, and left, looking to make his own way in life.
