A shame we went down to three from our previous team. In another game I had to pick up a level of Cryptic to get the party Rogue, now my character has a "black beam" to back up his other powers.
If MonkeyGod's connection issues aren't fixed by tomorrow, we'll pick back up and I'll bring him in a different way at a different time.

Seeing as we're in a culture where wooden ships are our primary means of transportation and fir is a very real and very dangerous hazard as it comes out of dragons what means would they employ to put fires straight out when lacking the means to control the flames psionically?
Usually they use the water elemental in the engines and spew water from the fire control pipes...
That's an awful system.

You may have noticed I've been iffy responding since Thursday the 4th. My wife is having surgery (again) Wednesday. Her mother was supposed to fly in to help, but she had an emergency Thursday and ended up having a minor surgery Friday. So I've been canceling work trips, and generally doing all the stuff she was supposed to be here doing. I'll continue to be iffy this week. Sorry. Will hopefully be more consistent week after next.

I think I have the best perception but no one was fighting fires so I jumped in.
Wednesday : Surgery for wife, doctor says she had no knee left, she has one now, all computer designed and doctor ground out. Surgery went well. Wife dopey. Doctors found compression fracture in back while prepping for surgery. Will deal with later.
Thursday : Wake up sick as a dog (As usual, every time I go to the hospital with my wife, I get sick...). Get wife and take her home from hospital.
Friday : Don't remember Friday...
Saturday : Wake up at 8AM, pack, take wife to bank for errand, get her settled in at home, drive 9.5 hours, still sick, to deal with sick father.
Sunday : Get yelled at by uncle, for not wanting to visit dad and get him sick, get up, go visit dad. Spend two hours going shopping to buy dad new clothes he needs. Go back to hotel, collapse on bed.
Monday : Wake up at 6AM to start work day early so I can take off early for dad's doctor's appointment. Realize it's a holiday and I don't have to work. Post on threads, go back to bed...
Monday Evening/Tuesday : Get games running again...

Alys can use the Dorje of Dimension Swap, Adran might be best for the Spyglass. Somebody should be able to use Sharpened Edge in battle. Call to Mind might help in a utility situation. Everything else looks like "sell".
Connor's scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to making anything. As in, 12.5 gp or 17 gp left of crafting materials for power stones or such. Unless we grind up all the gemstones present and carve the shuriken into improvised etching needles.
Was flipping through Path of War and noticed Deadly Agility. Given that how Slashing Grace changed, it may make sense for me to replace the former with the Path of War feat. Just a thought. :)
As far as items go, Sharpened Edge is best for anyone using 18-20 range weapons (preferably 2H). That'd be Rory or Elara, I think. I can use it too, but I don't get the cool 1.5*stat mod that a 2h gets that gets multiplied. Dimension Swap for Alys sounds right. Claws of the Beast for Elara may be good (non-reach weapons on demand). Mindhunter is a non-combat thing that might come in handy. With all his bonuses to Knowledge, Roderick is probably best to get Call to Mind (free inspiration on Knowledge).

Hey guys. I leave next Thursday for vacation. SCA event. Gulf Wars will be going from the 10th-20th posting again on the 21st. I will be letting all my games know in the next few days. My wife will have her phone so I may be able to check in at night but will need to be botted for any combat. Just giving a heads up.

Sorry everyone, life's been hitting me hard recently, and I've had a severe lack of energy when I've not been working or travelling. Every other week I spend about 20 hours on planes or in airports (sunday and thursday, 9 hours up and 13 hours back). On top of that, all the family stuff has taken a toll. Plus, my wife is working from home now, so when I'm home, she's working 11 to 8 and I'm working 8 to 4:30, makes it very complicated. Nothing like seeing your wife 24 a day or 0 a day depending on the week to make things topsy turvy. I'm finally getting used to it though, and I hope to be back to normal posting going forward (with occasional lapses from exhaustion).
Not a problem, mdt. Keep going. I had to un-install and re-install Firefox on my computer this Spring Equinox to get it working again, but now I've got my bookmarks back.
I'm afraid I've had to come to a hard decision.
My life is very hectic and tiring right now, and while I had thought it would calm down, it hasn't. I'm constantly exhausted, and just don't have the energy I used to have. It's not fair to people playing, and I just can't continue apologizing forever.
I'm going to have to cut back on my GM'ing on here some. I had tried to keep up 6 games, which I used to do relatively easily, but lately, it's just so hard to keep them up that I end up looking at the 6, knowing I don't have time or energy for all 6, and then not updating any of them because I don't have the energy to figure out which two or three to update.
I'm going to have to cut back, and unfortunately, this is one of he ones I'm going to have to drop. It's a shame, it's my first game I started on the boards, and has been going forever... but it's gotten to where the PCs aren't talking to each other, just me, and they post once a week. So I'm unfortunately going to have to draw this one to a close. Sorry Monkeygod, I know you just came back. :( My life has been... hectic... to say the least lately.
If any of you would like to enter the other 3 games I'll be keeping going as openings occur, let me know and I'll put you on a list. Again, I apologize, but I just can't keep 6 going anymore. :( I'll leave this active for a week or so for everyone to notice the closure and respond if they want.

Sorry to hear your decision, mdt. I really liked this "magic is dangerous" game for Dreamscarred Press Psionics. Plus the whole avian-human angle. I'm not giving up hope yet!
Wow, this really bums me out, a lot. I had some rather interesting RP eventually planned for Flick, but he is beyond traumatized right now, hence his silence. <sad face>

Like I said, sorry especially to Monkeygod who just came back. The whole not talking to each other thing wasn't referring to Flick. I knew why he wasn't talking.
Not trying to convince you otherwise, if this is truly the best decision for you and your mental health, but perhaps a cinematic cut scene would benefit this game.
It seems we're kinda just meandering in a bit of a post climatic moment, and need a strong push into the next part of the 'adventure'.
Again, if this game must go away for now, that is wholly understandable, just expressing my opinion on why it seems like nobody is really talking with each other.
Give me a day or two and see how it goes with 3 games, and if I can, I'll push forward with a cut scene and see how it goes...
