Fine, whole dang world up. :)

If you zoom in on the Continent of Pallandrus, you'll see Taksi at the bottom, you've landed in the port of Keihteilta.

The locals pronounce it Kite-Ale-Tah. It seems to be a mismash of Catfolk and Lizardfolk that neither can pronounce correctly, but both agree on. The catfolk pronounce it with silent T's, Kai-Ale-Ah. The Lizardfolk pronounce it Kit-El-Tae. All the foreigners use the first pronunciation I listed, as do all the non catfolk/lizardfolk locals.

Floating Islands. They travel on the jet stream. Remember, I mentioned before how they were getting close to the Maelstrom?

But yes, the planet is mostly water, there's a ton of islands scattered around, but the 3 on the map are the main ones. Nobody is sure what's in the Maelstrom, there's permanent water funnels whirling around a storm tossed sea with shattered rocks. Insanely difficult to approach, and magic doesn't work right in the area, nor do psionics. Nobody is sure what is inside it, although everyone has stories about it.

The red line shows the path the islands follow as they float around on the jet stream.

The planet is much larger than earth, about 4 times the size, but not as dense, so about the same gravity. That northern continent is about the size of Asia/Europe. Same with the southern continent. The eatern continent is a little bigger than south america.

Committed players with good posting histories. I feel sometimes GM's get too hung up on whats in the group and not who. A lot of the games I'm in that failed are do to too many players dropping and then the GM not feeling like going through with recruiting and stuff again. Sometime it is just life getting in the way for the GM. I'm all for giving new posters a chance but it should be a 1/4 ratio with at least 4 of your posters having 1000 post or more. Now not all people posting are loyal players either but it is more likely they will be sticking around.

It really comes down to posting. We don't want any Chaotic Evils, of course, and with our homebrew races and psionics it can't be any zealous rules lawyers. Race and class could either be straight-out fighters or someone who loves Dreamscarred Press more than mdt and myself. But flexibility with posting and with the world is key.

My suggestion would be tween 1-3 replacements and we players should be involved in the selection. Afterall we gotta make sure they mesh with both our characters in game but also ourselves out.

Potential issues...

Volita/Atlas2112:

Overchannel + Body Fuel. Your lowest stat is STR 11. So as long as you can expend your psionic focus, you can avoid the "burn" from Overchanneling every 3rd round. Otherwise, you'll be as weak as a baby in one Overchannel + Body Fuel. To ntoe : Body Adjustment cannot counter ability burn because : "cannot be magically or psionically healed. It is caused by the use of certain psionic feats and powers. It returns only through natural healing."
Power Points : Psion6 has 35 pp + 15 from 21 INT = 50, not 56. If you're using your favored class bonus to pick up extra PP, I'm ok with that, since Humavians are human subtype, and human favored class can do that. Just making sure that's where they come from.

Missing Powers :
You forgot (0) Detect Psionics as a Psion
You are missing a Disciple Talent (you have 7 1st-level powers, instead of 5 + 3 = 8)

Power Issues :
Under 2nd-level powers, "Energy Adaptation" should be "Energy Adaptation, Specified"
Psionic Focus should just be Energy Stun, not Energy Stun (Lightning) unless something has been missed.

Construct Issues :
As you get time, please add fully filled out blocks for each level of construct you can summon, since you won't always be summoning just 4th level constructs.

Background Issues :
We'll need to work on your background a bit to fit the actual world. I'll give you more details once the crunch is fixed.

Skill Issues
You forgot Autohypnosis, Knowledge: Psionics, and Use Psionics on your character sheet. You will probably need Autohypnosis for some powers, or at least, to benefit fully from them.

Flavor Issues
Note that the default description of a Vivisectionist is not exactly someone that would be recruited (someone who likes cutting people open). In your background, you'll want to work up something along the lines of a battle field medic, not by choice. That is, someone who's picked up a lot of hack and slash surgery knowledge putting friends back together in the field.

Background
Need to work on it a bit to make it fit more with the world. Will talk about it more when the crunch is fixed.

Everyone :
The current group leaves us light on healing and light on front line tanks. Given the speed/mobility of the group, that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean if the enemy gets into close range, you're all going to be rather squishy. Just something you might want to think about.

I'll put these on my character sheet somewhere when I get home, but: +1 Armor doesn't appear to need a spell, I assumed it didn't need a power, either, just 3x Bonus ML from the creator. Belt of Constitution and Headband of Charisma are both derived from Animal Affinity psionic power, and the resistance cloak is derived from the FOrtify power.

I could have sworn I sent you a PM with images taken from the Psionics Augmented: Soulknives, with the entirety of the Brutality Blade archetype?

I don't get any bonus power points from Brutality Blade or anything, anyway, and my Blade Skills are both available at 2, if I'm not mistaken. At least, according to Ultimate Psionics, I don't know if Errata has been issued for Freezing Bolt or something, but Focused Offense has always been intended to get Wisdom Focused soulknives off the ground at 2.

When I get home, I'll divide those bonuses, no problem.

I knew I had forgotten to post something in that recruitment thread. I've got a background written for him somewhere, I'll find it when I get home.

Personally, I've never been fond of "needing" healing in any capacity, anyway. Not having a heavy bruiser-type is a little more worrisome, but I've been through some strange games, I think we can make it work. :)

1) Um, you're talking to l33t for me. I get thing about Body Fuel, and I'll watch that, but are you talking about them separately, or together? It sounds like you're talking about some interaction with them? (As far as I know Body Fuel doesn't have a level ceiling, so I'm not sure how I could Overchannel it. :/
And, yeah, Overchannel can do hella damage, so I'll be sure to keep up with my Body Purification. =)

2) Awwwww. I didn't know that Body Adjustment didn't heal Body Fuel. Drat. I might tweak that. Hell I might just replace BF with Psi Talent, take the few free points and have done with it.

It looks like just one "true" manifester (Volita/Atlas2112), the others are using psionics without points. Volita/Atlas2112, if you want to look at my character sheet, scroll all the way to the bottom, and I have lots of Astral Constructs already stat'ted out as an example.

One of the delightful learning experiences in this game (no, really, I'm not being sarcastic) was discovering that bullets in mdt's world ignore normal and buffed AC levels. Bullets hit Touch AC, which requires Dodge-type augmentation. Like the knight in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court being shot to death with a six-shooter.

What matters to psionics is pre-buff, not heal-after. Vigor (temp hp) is essential. So would be mental barrier. Psionic tattoos of natural healing come in real handy, but at Level 6 the more powerful body adjustment gets you back into the battle. Note that tattoos are the equivalent of potions for psionics, and right now the party does not have a tattooist. Connor can do power stones, which are like scrolls, but that doesn't help our non-manifesters. That's why our last Soulbolt decided to become a Gifted Soulbolt, so she could at least benefit from power stones and mind stones. Until we get a dedicated Vitalist.

Connor's a Jack-of-All-Trades, and we learned that an Astral Construct maker can finish his or her essentials at Level 2 and then go on to other things. Like battlefield control and utility powers.

So as long as we get 3-5 rounds before a battle, Connor and Volita can buff and make Astral Constructs, Adran can armor up, etc. Hanklin Reville and Harbaestus can charge into battle, but be aware that healing might not be available. Art Coleda looks like a melee fighter turning into a sniper. We can't afford to get surrounded without cover by the enemy with our new party makeup.

You might want to spend some Level 6 WBL on psionic tattoos of healing, inertial armor (maxed), other buffs/saves like biofeedback (DR), force screen, etc. Those could have been bought in Atalantia before we got to the other side of the world here. We just can't replace them until someone takes the tattooing feat. mdt's thrown anti-magic/psionic zones at us already in the game, so a mundane backup for a weapon/armor/utility wouldn't hurt either. Connor learned the hard way to put your healer's kit on the outside of the Psionic Backpack of Holding before going into a non-psionic zone.

That was funny, the way everyone squealed when they realized they couldn't access their gear in the null-psi zone. :)

Of Note : Magic and Psionics are not transparent. That means that an anti-magic zone does not stop psionics, and vice versa. There are places that stop both.

For the skills-do I get any of those as class skills? I feel like alchemist should at least net me Kn (Psionics) and UPD, seeing as it also gives Kn (Arcana) and UMD.

As for vivisectionist flavor, I absolutely agree-slicing people open to see how they tick works for some characters (like on Blekk!) but here? Ehhh. He comes from a pirate family, chances are he's seen his fair share of guts and stuff. It'd be enough to give him a decent understanding on where to hit someone where it hurts (AKA sneak attack).

I think I got everything else, if you want to work out my background over PM or something, feel free to get in touch. I'm open to anything, background-wise. I made it kind of vague slightly on purpose so that it'd be easier to fit into the campaign. Can't wait to get started! I'm excited for this.

I think that that's the, by far, least formal background I've ever written, and a knew perspective for writing for me in general. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but I felt it fit the character more. It's likely not great, and will likely need some rejiggering, but it's on the character sheet now, at least!

I'll get on to writing down Powers for gear, in addition to dissecting attack bonuses, shortly.

Edit: It took me forever to figure out where my Attack Bonus was coming from. Showed me how often I make small characters, I completely forgot about the size bonus. Everything ought to be kosher (at least mechanically) now.

@Hanklin - Yes, you would get Kn(Psionics) and UPD instead of Kn(Arcana) and UMD. You'd also get Autohypnosis.

We've discussed before how animal affinity covers everything from a belt of strength to a headband of alluring charisma. Fortify replaces resistance (and here they're called earrings of resistance). Thicken skin works for amulets of natural armor. Maybe mental barrier for rings of protection, but that's a stretch.

For the traveler's any-tool you needed to look up the Psion (Shaper) discipline powers tree. Ectoplasmic creation works just as good as major creation for the 250 gp magic item.

Just remember no arcane, no divine - you gotta find the psionic equivalent.

Speaking of healing items again, everybody and their brother needs gladiator's gauze, especially the non-point psionics. It's a cheap (35 gp) item that activates when you go below 0 hp in battle, automatically stabilizing you. It's saved the life of quite a few of our characters in the past. Connor can craft them, but only in downtime.

MDT, I have a Psy Warrior/Soul Knife (War Soul) build I had made for a game, unfortunately the GM quite after first encounter. The character has a Jedi type feel playing up the Mind blade as a light saber type. It is a tanky build but the War Soul use Path of War which is dream scared still, I could switch Adran out. I enjoy him but given his backstory it could make sense for him to be sent/given separate missions being called away to track and assassinate targets. Let me know. I'm good either way.
