Hi! Thanks for the game!
I am totally fine seeing what everyone else is playing and then filling in any gaps, but with seven PCs, I imagine that gaps aren't going to be as much of an issue. Therefore, I'm interested in playing an elven cleric of Desna. When he's not casting spells, he'll use a bow rather than a melee weapon.

Welcome, welcome :)
Soon I will put up a blurb in Gameplay, so you can also dot.
Andostre, lifting a little bit if the veil, I think I am inclined to go with Greyhawk deities for a change of pace. But it will be more of a flavor thing, and with no mechanical impact. Feel free to go with the familiar PF stuff for now, and we will ‘convert’ if needed as we go.

I don't have any issue with that, though I've never really paid attention to Greyhawk's lore over the years. I forget how well the 3.5 domains convert to Pathfinder domains.

Thanks for the invitation!
Still interested, but the next two days are going to be crazy busy for me (my job is coming to an end and I have a ton of stuff to do to wrap things up and be sure I have my ducks in a row and such). The "good" news is after that I will have more free time than I really want. So whatever I am unable to contribute or build in the next couple days I will try to do later this week.
I'm thinking Ranger or Druid. Or maybe Druid-Barbarian.

Not too badly, and subdomains help. Somewhere around here I have a doc about suggested domains for the Forgotten Realms gods in PF... but not Grayhawk, but I think Grayhawk would be easier.

That's no biggie - we're not deep diving into Greyhwak lore yet, or maybe ever. I am just sprinkling some stuff.
As for Desna 'equivalents', you could probably go with something like:
Fharlanghn N (g) - God of Horizons, Distance, and Travel
The priesthood of Fharlanghn is of two sorts, the urban and the pastoral. The former wear brown robes and generally are found in small chapels in communities. Those of the pastoral order wear green robes and minister by traveling the highways and byways, occasionally stopping at wayside shrines to Fharlanghn.
or
Celestian N (g) - God of Stars, Space, and Wanderers
Celestian's habits and disposition usually keep him from close association and involvement with other gods. He has, in fact, but a small following amongst mankind. Those who involve themselves with the cosmos or the sky - scholars, astronomers, astrologers, navigators, dreamers - make up the bulk of the Cclestian faithful. His priests wander the land, emulating their deity whenever possible by actually traveling the reaches of space.
----------
Gotta love these descriptions :D
Good thing is they leave a lot for you to flesh out, so you have more liberty with your approach.

No worries, we are not rushing ;)

Thanks for the invitation.
I will either go melee or rogue. What kind of build rules are we looking at?
We are almost all here, so I guess we can start talking some specifics. So:
Character Creation:
- 20 point buy. No stats lower than 8 or higher than 18 after racials;
- Starting wealth 150gp a la PFS;
- Core Rulebook content only in all aspects - if it is not in the Core Rulebook, it is out;
- No optional rules for now;
I think... That is all?
(Added it to the Campaign Info tab also)

Yeah, I was looking at that guy, also. I'll go with him.
I'm also using a recycled character that I really enjoyed playing. This is his alias. The stats are from a different Core-only game, but the Background will give you an idea what he's about.

Temerith is "happy-go-lucky", probably chaotic good. Haven't picked a deity yet, If I remember right there are several halfling Gods.
CS should be mostly ready. Fell free to check and let me know if I made any mistakes. I'm only human....
You don't HAVE to pick a deity - looking at the Core Rulebook, Bards are Arcane casters ;) As for Gods, I would say...
Ehlonna (NG) - Goddess of Forests, Meadows, Animals, Flowers, Fertility
Temples of Ehlonna are always in sylvan settings, although small shrines are occasionally located in villages. Services of worship involve wooden and horn vessels, various herbs, and the playing of pipes and flutes.
or
Ulaa (LG) - Goddess of Hills, Mountains and Gemstones
As would be expected, shrines, chapels, and temples are exclusively found in hills or mountains, if not subterranean. Services in honor of Ulaa are always in a stony area, with earth and gemstones displayed. Hammering on stone, rhythmically, and chanting in deep notes, serve as the hymn .

Temerith Faurian |

Good point. As an arcane caster it doesn't matter much.... So I chose Sheela Peryroyl

Oceanshieldwolf |

Looks like so far:
Ruin Explorer: gnome illusionist wizard <OR> melee combatant.
Andostre: Lanliss Endarro, Half-Elf ranged Cleric
AGM Lemming: Temerith Faurian, Halfling Bard
Deathquaker: Human or Half-Elf ranged Ranger
trawets71: melee <OR> rogue
Oceanshieldwolf: Niamhaoife Cu, Human Monk

Thank you for the summary OSW!

Jacquelin Serra |

This is DeathQuaker with my proposed character. I may need to adjust her backstory to suit the campaign more but it should give you the gist.
I've given her Favored Enemy Animal for now (probably has encountered hungry critters before) but if there's any particularly appropriate ones to take for the campaign, let me know.
Question: okay for her to carry a pack of cards? Not in the core equipment list; I like my characters to have a "hobby" item if possible.

Perfectly fine ;)
I haven't written up anything for a background yet. Where are we starting?
The post in Gameplay explains the starting scenario. I haven't added it to my background yet.
Absolutely correct.
In general, on backgrounds. No need to go overboard with it. I am perfectly ok with a short paragraph, a one liner, bullet points, or even nothing. Fair warning - I tend to space out if reading long backgrounds.

Niamhaiofe Cu |

Niamh (“Nee-ahv”) cuts a wary figure most of the time. Not with a knife, just by…walking…warily. She’s clearly hunted (or haunted) by something. Is friendly enough.
Looks a bit Flannish, and a little Suel.
Possibly is on the run from the Scarlet Brotherhood - both the place and the group.
How she got here is not your business. Probably because her player doesn’t know yet and it likely isn’t important or exactly pertinent to the current…situation . ‘Nuff said.

@GM any suggestions here?

Thank you!
@DQ - nice work on Jacquelin’s Heroforge mini! I’ll have to work one up for Nee. Heroforge is awesome.
Thanks. I think that is one of my better jobs. I really like using them for a basic character portrait, easy to customize and easy to share.
I have tried several times, but I am never happy with the end result :P
It takes some practice, and they've added more options lately which improves customizability but also increases decision paralysis. Sometimes easiest to pick a pregen outfit option and then add gear onto it from there.

Sure - Animal is a good option, as is Humanoid (goblinoid) or Humanoid (reptilian).
