The Chakram isn't considered ammunition. The Chakram is a martial weapon with the thrown category.

Not sure if that was a very polite "shut up and wait for more info," but I'll risk it :) Any chance there'll be Core? I had a great time somehow not dying at a Champion Seeker table and would gladly burn a Replay, but I'm curious. I could see why not, it might ease the bloodbath just a little.
Nah, just the best response I could give to a very legitimate question :)
Our current focus is on preparing for PbP Gameday VIII and so I'm genuinely not able to offer much information on the next OutPost at this time. That said, we do want to offer Siege of Gallowspire and if there is enough interest for CORE then we will do our best to make it happen. Hopefully that helps!

Here's another "Huzzah" for CORE support for upcoming cons, just to be on record!

Siege of Gallowspire offers some unique challenges for us in PBP-land:
1) It's for tiers 5-15. So we may need to think of what low range alternatives we can also offer.
2) Every player character can bring up to 3 aid PFS characters who are tier 5 and up. Or they can bring level 4 pregens as aid characters -- but they are much less effective in what they can do.
3) This means that a player may be committing 4 of their high tier PFS characters for the duration of the 6-7 weeks of the special, which might have ramifications in the recruitment of other PFS games from Tiers 5-seeker.
4) It's a big story ARC game, with ties to a lot of what has gone before in the PFS storyline, and looks super cool.
So yes, we're looking at this one, and may do a player survey during gameday to gauge interest, and see how many people have characters (including aid characters) in this range.

Just to add onto this, since players will be dedicating up to 4 characters each to this event that made it not feasible to run for Gameday as most characters would be more than likely locked in games still. By running Siege of Gallowspire during Outpost it would allow you all the time to free up the characters you wish to bring.

So... who has 4+ level 5+ Core characters?
Oh... me! Pick me!
Serious question though. How many others out there might want to do this in Core?
Do the assisting characters also get chronicle sheets? And if so.. are they they same or a cut down version?

I do have 4+ level 5+ CORE characters that are in a game atm.
I'm curious to see why they would be needed though.

And this is why we will be surveying the community to see what people have available in that level range. This will also give everyone plenty of notice so that they can wind down those characters available around that timeframe.
@Nightdeath- Without getting into spoilers the scenario calls for you to bring aid characters. It is still ultimately your choice whether you bring them or not or even if you risk sending them on a mission.

They are indeed at risk of death.

Dennis, are you sure the aid characters for CORE have to be CORE?
Hmm

GM Mjolbeard |

Oh man, looking back at my roster, I don't actually have any CORE characters over 5! And I only have 4 standard characters in that range. I gotta step up my game this summer!

There's been talk of Emerald Spire lately, are there any GMs potentially interested in running it? I don't mean to be pushy with the request, I have Visuris here to play whatever scenarios I'm lucky enough to be included in, but with Cassius I wanted to handpick the quests he embarks on. I GM'd Play-by-Post (non PFS but copied the formula) for some friends a while back; the medium works great for storytelling and I'd love to invest in a long-term story arc. What better than the paramount superdungeon?
Thanks for reading, and I apologize if this is inappropriate!

Hmm
That was my assumption, since each table will be playing in one campaign or the other. I don't really have anything to base that on, I guess (and there wasn't any CORE at PaizoCon).
Sounds like a question for the lodge Venture Captain :)

Quite a lot of answers here. My thanks.
Seems like quite a fun trip.I have the classic team setup of Fighter, Cleric, Rouge, Wizard available or more....

I'm definitely interested in doing the special and have plenty of PFS characters to dedicate to it, but I don't have any core.

I will check with Linda for a ruling. My guess is that aid characters will be able to come from either campaign.
Hmm

I would guess otherwise given the boons, but will gladly accept official clarification!
Most likely, it would be helpful organisationally if they weren't, but due to the boons earned it seems likely the aid characters would have to be from the same campaign as the table is playing their main characters in, but who knows! (Linda & John hopefully ;) )

Good to know, makes sense. One of my biggest Core characters has been reported as Standard for a fair while, guess now's as good a time as any to see that fixed.

I confirmed with Tonya tonight - all characters at the table, including aid characters must be core for the table to count as core.
Thanks Numbat! Well at least we have clarity!

To those of you who were participants in a game from which I disappeared several weeks ago, I want to apologize. I had a major medical problem come up, involving several weeks in the hospital and then a long recovery at home. I asked someone to post briefly in my campaigns so that I wasn't just gone with no warning, but I realize that I still inconvenienced many of you. Most of those games have been marked inactive since then, and so I can't post my apology to them, and sending a PM to each person involved would be more work than I am up to now, so this public apology is the best I can do.

Life and emergencies happen to us all, sometimes without warning, and there's no need to apologize for that. We're just happy that you're okay and hopefully feeling much better <3

Gameday VIII
When making requests to change something on the signup sheet, please include the game system plus scenario number and name for the line you are referring to. This will make it much easier for us to find the relevant place on the ever-changing spreadsheet, especially with multiple people maintaining it.
Thank you

I know this isn't really on-topic but I figure y'all will have experience.
How quickly do you typically hear back from Paizo's customer support after sending them an email regarding subscriptions, etc.? I sent them an email a few days ago and haven't heard anything yet.
