I would copy them over to Google Docs. It always makes it easier for me to update my sheets first in docs anyway before copying them to the forums.

My guess/hope is the old site won't just go away the day the new one is up. But having backups is a wise idea. If the old forums get archived in a way we still have access to. For current PBP games moving over, they could link to them the original for the game history. Several of us commented in the original announcement, but I have not seen Paizo comment on PBP yet.
Paizo said in the announcement, "we are investigating new platforms," No date yet, which seems like a good time to give them feedback on what we need.
If anyone hasn't seen the original announcement, it is here:

There is good reason to hope that all the content of our PbP games will carry over to the new website. I can't get into all the details because of where the discussions are going on, but I am doing what I can to advocate for this. I would really hate to lose all our history, and all the stories we've told together over the years, and I'll do what I can to make sure those who make decisions understand that.
You have my support. Since my first ‘Master of the Fallen fortress’ run, I’ve GM’d over 300 games here. That creates some attachment :-)

Reminder to Gameday GMs:
Thank you for signing up to run games as part of Gameday.
If you are the GM for a FCFS Gameday game, please provide your gameplay and discussion links in the signup spreadsheet. It's important that your players can sign in to the campaign as they sign up for a game.
If you are the GM for a GM choice or lottery Gameday game, please provide your recruitment, gameplay, and discussion links. It's especially important that your players be able to find your recruitment thread to apply. Also, please remember to change the spreadsheet when you make your choice of players.
If you have any questions or need any help, please contact me or one of the other PbP VOs, and we'll be happy to help.

If this gets posted, I am sending apologies to the games I am playing and one game I am running. I went to hometown yesterday and am unexpectedly having internet connection issues here. I would not be able to properly post in the games I am playing/running if this persists until I get back to house on Tuesday. Kindly delay my character’s turn, or bot if needed.

Howdy folks! Alex Speidel just posed an interesting series of questions to the Organized Play community on how to recruit & keep GMs. I encourage people to go check it out and share any tips, tricks, information, etc. that might be useful to our organizers and each other! :)

As a general note: If you've ever wanted to GM but have been held back, just drop me a line or make a mention here. I'm more than happy to help out in or function as a player-coach at your table, and give you the right to call yourself an 'AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM'.
What I see mentioned a lot as a reason for holding back is 'not knowing all the rules'. Seriously, nobody does. I usually just do the PbP equivalent of staring sheepishly and asking 'how does that work then'.

I am absolutely less confident with Starfinder than Pathfinder.
But hey, newbie pbp GMs? Even as someone with very good rules knowledge in most of the systems I run, I still look up rules pretty often. I don't have to, but there's no harm in refreshing.
In a real-time game, a couple extra minutes to look up every rule is a drag. In pbp, nobody even knows you did it. You can look up everything if you want. Everything.

Also, 90% of the time, your players know the rules that apply to them inside and out so unless you suspect shenanigans, just assume they know what they're talking about when they say a certain mechanic they're using works a certain way.

Really the only thing you have to do as a GM is add +1 to all attack rolls because everybody keeps ignoring the envoy's Get'Em

I ran my first PF2 session the other day - the usual GM couldn't make it so I just picked up the scenario and ran with it, I admit to VERY LITTLE PF2 experience as a player.
I am coming off a long background of GMing in general though, and so that meant the players still got a fantastic and memorable experience as I focused on the storyline and RP rather than worry about nailing all the mechanics. The good news is that in low level games the mechanics are actually suuuuper simple, so I think we had to look up one rule the entire session.
PbP is easier from a rule perspective because you can take all the time in the world, the only rabbit hole is the almost limitless time you have to compose posts which let's your imagination run wild. I do miss some of the side banter though when in a PbP (which is also a plus!?)

I'm just curious if anyone has had a PC die in Starfinder? I remember a few deaths in the first year as everyone was figuring out the system, but since then I don't think I've seen any PC, mine or another, die in about five years of play. (apart from one low-level character I had who died from the Massive Damage rule, but I think I saw SFS has now made even that pretty unlikely).

That was me! XX
None of my other PCs have died, but I've been in games where some other characters got close.

I lost my assimaar PC during an online game of 2-21 Illegal Shipment. The swarm creatures got the upper hand and we had to escape. My PC didn't make it out mostly because of unlucky dice rolling, Even the GM agreed.
This was before ACP but a kind soul sent me another assimaar boon I could use.

My only TPK as a GM was in a Starfinder game. The party didn't do any healing during the scenario, and the final encounter was brutal. Once the characters started going down they couldn't drop any of the enemies, and the enemies had specific instructions to eliminate all the PCs.

Cellion |

I've seen only one death as a GM, and that was during a famously unbalanced season 1 scenario. The group was unsuited to fight the creature that served as the boss, leading to an absolutely overlong slugfest that left most of the party on their last legs in HP, sp, and rp. In an act of heroic sacrifice, one party member led the boss back to a trap the group had bypassed earlier, triggering the trap and killing them both.
As far as deaths go, it was pretty cinematic.

Did you all get a chance to meet the first seeker candidates? There is still time to vote until October 31st!
If you haven't been able to play 6-06, you can find all information on the first seeker candidates here, which is also the place you can cast your vote!

![]() |

After first level it is pretty hard for a character to die in SF. It is much more forgiving than PF where a lucky critical can drop a character from full to death in one shot. So far I have only seen one character death in SF (poor Twila) but handfuls of deaths in PF.

GM Ultra Plus |

We had a very close call in a Starfinder scenario this weekend, and the character only survived because of Retail Incentive Program. Its what happens when your party's best frontline is a Operative and you run into some melee specialists.

Only 2 Weeks Left!
GMs, with only 2 weeks left in Gameday XII play, you should be winding down your tables (assuming you aren’t already finished) and getting them ready for reporting by our HQ crew. Hopefully you are in a good place to finish by the Nov 20 end date, but if not, please go ahead and mark your tables Ready for Reporting by Nov 20 so we can wrap up the convention. Then, finish your games as soon as you can. If you need assistance in pushing your game to the finish, please contact your PBP lodge Venture Officers.

Part I is a fun scenario, which I've just finished playing under GM Bretl (and alongside author Hmm). It is a highly recommended, but given that I've just finished it, I'd prefer part II.
And looks like we have a pretty cool posse already

Gameday XII - That’s A Wrap!
187 games were registered, split almost evenly between GM Choice and First Come First Served recruitment. 96 GMs ran the games and hundreds of players joined them. What a great turnout!
Once the last few games get reported, we will be mailing out 50 randomly drawn prize vouchers, so make your offerings to the gods of chance, and may fortune be on your side. Also, at the same time we will be sending out those PF1 boons to the GMs and lucky players.
We want to hear your feedback, so please fill out this feedback form. Let us know what you liked, and how we can improve in the future. This form is anonymous, but if you want us to get back to you, please let us know how (paizo forum message, discord DM, or email).
Thank you all for participating in Gameday XII, and be on the lookout for the next PBP event, Outpost VII, coming this spring.

A quick reminder to all our GMs, and I apologize I have not done this more regularly - please report your completed games so that we can include them in our quarterly reports. This helps track and justify our presence and ongoing support. This is a quick additional report in addition to reporting to Paizo.
One of the options we have considered on occasion, is having a reporting number for the lodge and having a form you complete where we then report to Paizo, or an option where we set up GMs with reporting privileges for that event number. This would open up some options, such as the potential for increased AcP. It would also increase the workload, at least some, for the VOs, so it should only be attempted if our community members think it is worth while. Please let us know what you think. Either comment here or send a PM if you are more comfortable communicating privately.
Thank you.

My guess is that by giving reporting priviliges to a handful of house gms on this station, you'd be able to capture about 80% of the games played.
I can only speak for myself, but if it's like the setup you have on the Discords (report to the dedicated event to get a %bonus to acp) I'd be happy to have that here!

Yeah, typing on the phone does this to you. The "Go" above was the result of fat fingers and pressing send, not meant as a dismissal!
I think Numbat's guide is very comprehensive when it comes to setting up.
If it feels like a lot of info, I'd recommend at least to:
(1) Set up your alias with correct name and an avatar picture
(2) Fill out the Race/Class/Gender portions of your profile according to the template below (example given for Zoey Strawberry, the Space Station's little Sister*):
Race:" | SP 24/24 HP 28/28 | RP 7/7 | EAC 13; KAC 14 | Fort +1; Ref +5; Will +4 | Init: +1 | Perc: +4, SM: +4 "
Class/Level:" | Speed 40ft "
Gender:"Female human rocket girl 4"

For ooc comments that don't interrupt the game too much, you can just use the [ooc ] tag, which will color your text blue. For longer discussions, you can use the separate discussion thread (ooc tends to be more chatty on the discord, I've noticed).
You can put a plain text stat block in your profile page (same place as where you edit the tag-line). Alternatively, if you have a pdf, you can link it with a [url = ] tag
I have a python code that can create a (mostly fine) bb-board formatted text from a hephaistos profile (I just need an extract of the .json). I just need to get around to cleaning it up and publishing it. PM me (goes for anyone) if you're interested.

Hello Everybody! This is bright and sparkling Zoey! I just discovered that there's a sale in the Freemarkets on this really cool game, it's like you're on Absalom Station, but instead of a station there's a planet, and it's pre-gap, and there's elves and dwarves, and crazy empires. You can't get off the planet though... unless you're a really powerful technomancer.
Paizo announced a humble bundle sale for Pathfinder 2E! You can get a good collection of the base PDFs and goodies, while donating to charity!

Now that the first reporting of the the new year has come in, I've decided to give this a go as a pilot. For games run off the Castamir station you can use the event code
# 2,715,121
for reporting with the event name Castamir Station 2024 Q1
Let me know if you're running a game and I can add you as a reporter (the reporting process is the same as with normal reporting). With this code, you and your players can potentially benefit from a little AcP bonus, so everybody benefits!
