Digging Through Traps & Treasures

The long-awaited Pathfinder Pawns: Traps & Treasures Pawn Collection is here! Since this is the most experimental Pawn Collection we've done so far, I figured the best way to communicate what makes up this set is to use pictures along with my words. So, today I grabbed a set, along with some Flip-Mats, Map Packs, and some miniatures, to play around with.

OPC Log—4 Erastus 4716

Hello Pathfinders! I hope this blog finds you hale and hearty, having enjoyed a weekend of sun, and fun. Hopefully, the fun involved some roleplaying, particularly the next installment of the Seeker Arc, #7-26 All for Immortality, Part 2: All the God's Beyond. We are currently busy in the office wrapping up July's adventures, prepping for Gen Con, and generally surviving the chaos of the con season in full gear.

A Glimpse Inside the Inner Sea Pawn Box

It's always an exciting day when an envelope arrives containing a monthly Paizo subscription. It's even better, however, when that envelope is replaced by a box. In the near future subscribers to the Pathfinder Pawns line will find in their mailboxes not only a box, but a box inside a box—the Inner Sea Pawn Box!

Pathfinder Pawns: Reign of Winter Adventure Path Pawn Collection

Pawns of Winter

Fall may be here, but winter is right around the corner—just in time for the Reign of Winter Adventure Path Pawn Collection! With more than 100 individual cardstock pawns, this Pathfinder Pawns collection brings to life 90 key monsters and NPCs from the Reign of Winter Adventure Path for use in your campaign. All of these allies and enemies appear in the Reign of Winter Adventure Path, but the Reign of Winter Adventure Path Pawn Collection also includes pawns for characters who have never been illustrated before. Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary 2 Box

Bestiary 2 Box Preview

There are a lot of great things about our Pathfinder Pawns sets, but one of my absolute favorite aspects of the line is that each new product allows us to go back and order pictures of monsters and NPCs that have never before appeared in illustrated form. In the case of our Bestiary products, this means we get new images of elementals, dragons, and other creatures that have various versions in the book, as well as reimaginings of outsiders and other creatures that either don't fit within the specific shape of a pawn or that we’d like to see depicted differently. Here are a few of the new pieces of art ordered specifically for the Bestiary 2 Box , which will be releasing soon!

Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary Box

Strategic Redesigns: Bestiary Box Preview

Strategic Redesigns: Bestiary Box Preview Tuesday, July 10, 2012 When planning for the Bestiary Box, we knew there were a few monsters that needed new art. They either didn’t fit in the pawn format, they were monster variants, or they were just missing art. There were also a handful of monsters that just deserved new art. ... Sure, the old art was suitable for the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary, but we knew that sometimes it’s good to shake things up and do them over. There are many reasons to do...

Dragons Reloaded: Bestiary Box Preview

Dragons Reloaded: Bestiary Box Preview Tuesday, July 3, 2012In last week's blog I covered some of our rationale for creating the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary Box, and unleashed some of the new elemental pawn art you'll find in that box. This week we are continuing our look at the new art with the most iconic enemies in fantasy—chromatic dragons! ... When it came to creating the dragon pawns for this box, dragons posed a particular challenge. While the art for the dragons in the...

Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary Box

Elementary Solutions: Bestiary Box Preview

Elementary Solutions: Bestiary Box Preview Tuesday, June 26, 2012 While I enjoy painting miniatures, and I'm a fast painter, I'll be the first to admit that painting minis is a time-consuming art. GMing takes a lot of time all by itself and not everyone has the time or talent to make minis fit the evocative stories their imaginations conjure. Also, minis can be expensive. Even with the release of the Pathfinder Battles minis line, we realize that sometimes cash-strapped GMs needed a...
