Welcome to the Pathfinder Society, Paizo's organized play campaign!
Season 0 launches at Gen Con this August. Registered Pathfinder Society members will need a paizo.com account, and their GMs can turn in monthly play reports from home, in-store, and convention events right here on this page. When you register your character, you'll be required to choose one of five factions. Your monthly exploits in the Pathfinder Society will earn your faction prestige—prestige that affects the in-game world and helps the Paizo design staff shape the flavor of the Inner Sea region of Golarion.

The Five FactionsEvery faction has its own unique history, culture, style and specialty. Each has its own modus operandi in the ongoing struggle for control of Absalom, and each offers the Pathfinders in their service different boons. Choosing your faction is as important as choosing your character class or race. It helps define your character in the campaign and ties your Pathfinder to one particular nation's destiny.
Andoran—Birthplace of Freedom, Fledgling Democracy of the Inner Sea
Cheliax—Infernal Empire
Osirion—Land of the Pharaohs
Qadira—Desert Frontier Kingdom
Taldor—Decadent Failing Empire

Season 0 represents our playtest year—a year in which our participants and the Alpha and Beta playtesters of the Pathfinder RPG help shape the system we'll move forward with in August 2009 with the launch of Season 1 and the Pathfinder RPG. Registration begins this August.
There is no cost to join the Pathfinder Society, though the multiple monthly Pathfinder Society Scenarios will be available for download as PDFs for a small fee at paizo.com. Local game stores are encouraged to join the Pathfinder Society as a Society-Approved Store and Paizo will offer those stores free PDFs of the scenarios every month to be run in-store (details and participation guidelines coming soon). Beginning in September 2008, there will also be a free monthly Pathfinder Society newsletter emailed to all members to keep them up-to-date on faction prestige and the inner workings of the Pathfinder Society organized play system.
Pathfinder Society members can progress to 12th level over the span of a full season; characters reaching 12th level will be retired from play but still usable in events specifically designed for members above 12th level. This system allows members to play characters from a variety of factions over the years and helps keep the game fresh and inviting for new members as well.
The Pathfinder Society will launch using the 3.5 edition rules and will convert to the Pathfinder RPG rules in August 2009. For additional information on the Pathfinder RPG and the Alpha and Beta releases, visit paizo.com/pathfinderRPG.
Keep an eye on this page and the Paizo Blog as we unveil additional information on the Pathfinder Society.
