Paizo can say it’s not their fault all day long and I don’t care. We ordered through Paizo (even though they chose to fulfill through Amazon) — its Paizo’s job to ensure it happens. As a military retiree, I wasn’t left off the hook because I got someone else assigned to a task — i was still ultimately responsible. We paid Paizo — they are ultimately responsible — any fault by Amazon (or anyone else) is STILL Paizo’s fault MC1 Donald P. Rule, USN (Ret)

I need order 4757631 finalized . My card on file is correct but I can’t seem to make it work but partially online. Try to make the transaction w/ the card on file and figure out why your system is only doing partial authorizations. Items in this order we from 2 previous orders were payment didn’t authorize. But instead of my account showing those orders so I can fix the issue, you’re no screwed-up system dumped threaders and just threw everything into the side cart. This happened last over a month ago too and when I got the issue fixed, you charged me more than the previous order. I don’t know what you did to break this system but it started when you completed changed your whole website and made everything non-operator friendly. Your current website really is difficult to navigate and you are alienating your entire customer base w/ something so non user-friendly.

I received an email saying there wasn't a payment method available for this order. 1. I have confirmed that I have a payment method present on my account ... which was there when you sent the email. 2. This order isn't listed on my account page. 3. 3 items in this order are free and should, at least, been resolved regardless of this transaction. Please correct and finish this order.

That's a load of crap .... if I'm forced to go this route then I lose out on the free organized play scenarios ... I'm going to buy something more expensive and get screwed in the process. This is how you really treat your loyal customers. You need to re-think this decision.

It is metagaming if, for example, the GM suggests we have a particular skill (or weapon type) which would be extremely helpful for, let's siay, kill a demon, which are not normally found in the area we are going to. To give any kind of hint like that is, by definition, metagaming. And to miss out because you brought the wrong character? That's metagaming and min/maxing. RPGs are there to discover. If we fail because the party isn't right, so be it... but that's the thrill of RPGs.... we have to discover what we need to succeed. To already come in with pre-knowledge and prepared due to it, defeats the entire purpose of playing ... the same reasons a player replaying a scenario must not spill any beans., because it ruins the adventure for those who have never played it before.
So far, I'm likeing the thought process of coming to decide on an easier way to use/remember Boons we've acquired; yet, I do have a couple of misgivings: 1. It really hurts that a boon I have acquired (especially after we've acquired several) will then make these rewards mostly a mute point. Having to only slot 6 is extremely restrictive (especially when you have boons that grant multiple boons). Now, instead of ignoring boons that really wouldn't help a particular character build, now I have to decide if I really want wo.rthwhile boons that will increasingly become obsolete over time and/or never used because I'm extremely limited on selection 2. After giving a briefing, the GM will then identify certain boons that may help in the scenario? We are now throwing the entire purpose of RPGing out the door and adding metagaming into a story of adventure and discovery. We dont play RPGs to have the GM or VO to then ruin the surprise by telling us what we should equip/slot that is completely outside of an in game/ RPG'd briefing. We mays as well quit PFS / SFS and switch to just the card game. a. A character has been to Absolom Station before and built some renown with its citizens. Now I come back but because I really think I needed to slot a different social boon, I suddenly have no renown with the selected group in improve my negotiating skill rolls. That's rather preposterous and unrealistic. It's one thing if the Player forgets he had that boon but to have PFS Coordinators metagame our sudden brain fart -- really? That's how we want to proceed? b. What we really need, as players, is: I. A separate document/notes sumerizing our boons so that can be seen easier by the player.

WTH?! Another new flip-mat that snuck under my radar that I lost a chance to get the PDF for since it's not part of my flip-map subscription. I have too many orher things to do then to babysit when you decide something new won't be part of a subscription. If you're going to have subscriptions then it needs to be all or nothing.... not this well.... we don't thing this should be added crap

I'm not in the Seattle area but I am beginning a form of Gaming Cafe I'm calling Games for Vets at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) 5065 in Sheridan, Michigan. We are the 3rd- largest VFW in Michigan. We are kicking off our program during Memorial Day weekend with a mini-gaming convention open to public. This event is be a new annual convention taking place w/ our Auxiliary's Sheridan SpringFest which is an annual community festival organized by our VFW Auxiliary during the Memorial Day weekend. Our Games for Vets is our answer to help make our Post more family-friendly to attract younger veterans to join. We will also use various fundraisers to provide available games and to be able to donate games to Veterans who are in need, admitted to VA and civilian hospitals, nursing homes and/or Veterans homes (such as the Grand Rapids Home for Vets). If you wish to donate, we can use copies of the Beginner's Box to auction as a fundraiser, donate to Veterans and/or donate to kids and new players exploring our mini-convention. Our address is: VFW 5065, 209 W. Washington, Sheridan, MI 48884. Sincerely,
I see someone at Paizo didn't appreciate my comment about shipping since I received my order in a damaged box which the Post Office stamped 'RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION'. This means one of you Goblins thinks it's funny to throw around someone's package. Don't even try to give any kind of apology because I won't accept such a pitiful excuse for your crap. It was so damaged that it slightly damaged each of the internal packages but most everything was ok -- except for the comic books, which have dinged up corners. You will come recover these and reissue them properly and immediately!
Yes... They are charging more just because they are making a bigger issue for this ... Which I think is lame because instead of actually giving us more, they are instead throwing in a bunch of stuff from the past. I don't like paying more for something if all I'm getting is garbage added. Magazines don't raise their issue price to add extra special issue pages ... Especially when it's more of a review of the past. The shipping side though.... Yes, we are getting ripped off. I have priority and they often place in a flat rate box but they charge me more than that. And the last couple months they stopped doing that for their own crap... Plus they use really cheap, pathetic styrofoam peanuts instead of something better. Hell, even these 'peanuts' are the cheapest 'peanuts' I've ever seen --- all tore apart by the time I get them and them a total hassle to clean up because they broke up into thousands of itty bitty pieces.... Never seen such pathetic 'peanuts' in my entire life.

Yes, cancel the RPG subscription. I do not want the Bestiary 5. I only get PDFs for the Beastiaries.
Just read Paizo's new e-mail update on the KS and that they are now adding copper sets - and they limited them to only 200 backers for the full RPG set unless you do an add-on to the regular 'tin' set pledge. Well, that helped me easily decide if I was going to back the project -- a resounding NO!!!! Sorry, I'm not going to be forced to spend even more to get a set I don't want in order to get the set I do want. Good thing they obviously aren't actually interested in selling dice but instead come up w/ a SCAM to sucker more money out of you.
Bi-Monthly. We can't even get enough winning sessions to keep up. Our local shop traditionally sets up 1 2-hour session every two weeks just before PFS. Plus if you can't win and get the Scenario Reward you fall that much further redoing that scenario. Personally there should be a base game. Then you have these AP Expansion Packs that you add to the base game for new/updated characters and theme-driven equipment. Then you have the AP Adventure packs out bi-Monthly and periodically release a separate Modual pack every few months to give something unique to plat with. There is no reason to totally reinvent the base game every AP. Do we com out w/ a new Core RuleBook to replace the old one for an AP? No,
Shiela Silverwind came in late and didn't last long when her armor busted but today was very adventurous. It was great to work with a few people who I've see and heard on the forums and/or Mumble. I'm still getting used to PFO's unique style of combat but w/ each death I will get better. I do hope Pathfinder University and each of our Settlements and Companies continue to create exciting events for us to get involved with.

Am incorrect in assuming I should repackage it since it was originally sent Ina USPS Flat Rate box? Thanks again,
Today I was surprised to revived 2 packages from Paizo ... I didn't think there was a hardbound this month.. The 2nd package was labeled w/ my name and address but the invoice inside is for someone else -- Order# 3433390. When I get a chance I will try to send it back to you .... Do you have a specific thing you want me to do before I do? I have the name address for the customer if you just want me to forward it directly the them. MC1 Donald P. rule, USN(FR)
Or an even better idea... Release cards from Pathfinder Comics, Modules, etc as special event scenarios in the PACG Organized Play system. I would sure as hell buy them ... Could even make the release even better by including a PFS scenario as well. I would enjoy paying say $10 for a special combo PFS / PACG Scenario Combo Pack
I think part of that comes from GMs sometimes can get their scenarios gifted from a Venture Captain / Lieutenant but that's isn't the most reliable as VC/VLs usually cover many stores in a region and can't be at every one at every event. Plus if you give every GM free scenarios every time then there is a lost of sales lost for Paizo. If scenarios are instead given to the stores themselfs than Paizo isn't having to gift quite as many and they continue to recup some of their costs from designing these scenarios from sales to GMs/Players who still wish to own a copy for themselves. To complicate the matter further is looking at printing costs of these scenarios for use in the store. Many FLGSs are small and can ill-afford to always suck up these costs unless they charge players to play in each slot. |
