Table B for my SFS 1-00 Claim to Salvation is still waiting for 5 check ins.

DystopianDream and AlicornSage be watching as if 3 of the 5 fail to appear, I'll need you two and some reshuffling to make Table B's minimum.

They technically still have 4 days to do so, but they're making me nervous.

Have you PMed them? It's GenCon week. If they're here GMing in that madhouse the way I am, I would not be surprised that they had gone incommunicado. I've been hardly on the forums since arriving -- too busy running from table to table!

Give them until Monday to check in... That's when many of us will be resurfacing for air!

Hmm

Ah! Good call. Even so, I'd gladly take a Pregen for a spin!

Not yet, because I'm at GenCon and don't have time to PM people. However, I did call for check ins a week before GenCon with multiple reminders so, waitlisters, keep watching.

You called for checkin, did you list names, I only saw the general call, with so many tables, maybe folks forgot WHOSE table they signed up for

I may or may not have done that, then gone through the entire list of gameday games and saved a list of my sign-ups to Google docs.

Keep in mind I'm not kicking them out until the day before and after I PM them. I'm making these announcements to alert those signed up and keep waitlisters informed.

But, yes, I did all that on both Flaxseeds with links.

EDIT: And due to last-day-of-GenCon effect, I now have experience running SFS 1-00. I've come up with a way to streamline ship combat so it doesn't take forever, which I will play test on GD. We'll see how well received it is.

Eh... having been a GM in this situation before I've started getting a bit more stringent about check-in dates. I'd rather grab the backups early and get to know my players at least a couple days before starting. Admittedly on quests with pregens its not as big of a deal since you don't need to do character checks.

Silver Crusade

Shouldn't SFS recruiting and check-ins be done in Castamir's Station?

Zin Z'arin wrote:

Whilst that would be correct in most situations, the Game Day as a whole seems to have defaulted to the Flax Lodge - so as a result, we will be seeing a fair bit of peanut butter in our jelly.

What the hell... I thought you were an ausie? Aren't you supposed to be using vegemite metaphors instead of peanut butter ones?

Liberty's Edge

Vegemite in your avocado (yes, vegemite and avocado is a thing)

Yeah but seeing how poorly understood Vegemite is overseas I had a crack at relating it to a thing you might be more familiar with.

No rational person puts Vegemite with a smashed avo mate.

Liberty's Edge

I am struggling to find some Aussie equivalent. Some sauce in your meat pie?

I thought this was a peanut-free thread. Some of us have allergies you know.

Although, while we have a representative from the Land Up Yonder (it's a perspective thing) in attendance I am curious to know what knives look like. I keep mistaking them for other "not-knife" things.

I've had one slot open up for this, if anyone is interested. The signup sheet link is still live.

...No rational person puts Vegemite anywhere near consumables to begin with. Granted that is just one Yanks opinion but I did not enjoy my singular experience with that stuff!

Scarab Sages

Having tried both, I actually prefer Marmite.

Vegemite has a nice savory flavor initially, but a lasting bitter aftertaste. On the other handhemisphere, it seems to me that Marmite is more bitter initially, but the lasting aftertaste is the nice savory part.

"Love It Or Hate It?" As someone who normally believes in extremes, I say 'it's okay.'

Lantern Lodge

I used to prefer Marmite. And my that I mean New Zealand Marmite, not that revolting stuff the poms call Marmite. But after five years in the UK I gave in and switched to vegimite, which at least you could get over there. Even now back home my preference has changed.

Sad.

And it tastes great, you just have to not spread it like peanut butter.

Have you guys tried Cenovis? Switzerland's own recipe of vegemite :D

(The tepid eat it with butter)

*Switzerland intensifies*

Sovereign Court

Well, there are some strange beasts that need to adulterate vegemite with butter, but I think the only way to have it is slathered on a bread roll so thick that it oozes when you bite into it.

Delicious!

Liberty's Edge

What about "vegemite worms" that you get when you squeeze the vitawheat biscuits. The Aussies here know what I mean.

While I like mine with butter, we may be better moving this to the discussion thread...

Those are sensational.

When you all come down under for Paizocon Oz, we will show you some of this cool stuff - and avoid having you killed by the myriad of Australian things than can kill you.

Vegemite Ice-cream - now there is the Devils Combo, I dunno which bloke invented that, but that is fair dinkum 'un-Australian' and he should be bloody ashamed.

Looking for 1 active and consistent poster for Iron Gods AP. We are into Book 3. Must be able to post once a day with a good roleplaying push post. (NO posts with just rolls in them).

PM me if interested.

Hey GMs. I saw a lot of new games added for the gameday. Great! Can some of you try to make space for some of the newbies who have recently shown up in Flaxseed as well as regulars?

Thank you!

I think I have one more slot reserved for new players for the Phantom Phenomena for part 2 of GD6, i.e. starting approximately 6 Oct.

I wouldn't mind a run in Solstice Scar non core, on the waitlist and have a range of lvls 1-9

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just put up Table 186 for Gameday VI, which is for scenario 1-51 The City of Strangers - Part I: The Shadow Gambit. It is for Tier 1-7.

As of this moment, there is no one signed up, so new players can certainly sign up. The sign up sheet is here. Will book on a first-come, first served basis.

Plan to start the game on Friday 9/1, which should still give us time to finish before the deadline for Session 1. If Part 1 of this goes well, I will run Part 2 for the same PC's for Session 2.

PM me if questions.

For anyone who looks for games solely in Flaxseed, I'm recruiting for a Gallows of Madness Part 1 (1-3, evergreen for level 1) for the second session of GD VI HERE.

I still have 4 slots open for CORE Beyond Aztlanti ridge.http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2uhk8?PbP-Gameday-VI-PFS-CORE-Helikon-s-Beyond# 8]Beyond Aztlanti ridge

This scenario is Tier 3-7, right?

Yes

As a player, I find that it's REALLY helpful when GMs include the scenario tier in their recruitment posts!

Thanks that is a good hint. I will keep that in mind next time!

I had a no-show for a Gameday run of #3-02: Sewer Dragons of Absalom (classic), so there's a free spot if someone wants it. We're running tier 3-4, so first-come first-serve for someone in that tier, just check in in the discussion thread.

Sewer Dragons spot filled, thanks!
