Hi all, thank you for all the useful hints and tips you have put in place for newbies like me. My apologies in advance if this is not the right place to put this.
I'm new to pbp (and PFS for that matter) but have some experience role-playing in CRPGs and associated forums. I am keen to try pbp.
I've been having a look around and trying to figure things out so that I hopefully won't embarrass myself too badly. From what I have been able to deduce from the game spreadsheet, it seems I may have narrowly missed open slots in the upcoming adventures (those marked open seem to be filled)?
Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the direction of an open slot that I overlooked in my ignorance but, at the least, I get to say hi and folks will know that I'm about!

If you don't know yet how to send a PM, click on GM Batpony's name, and when you get to their profile page click the "Send Private Message" link under their name at the top of the page.

Those spreadsheets aren't all that active anymore; the majority of GMs recruit right here, so just check this thread regularly.
That said, we are in the middle of an online convention (Gameday VI), and that changes the normal group dynamics. Games for that can be found here.
Would the following please check in here for the second part of gameday? If you have not checked in within 72 hours, I will recruit replacements.

Does anyone have a textfile with the Paizo Codes for the various pregens out there? I'm about to run Honor's Echo which requires pregens and it would be cool if the players could just create an alias and copy paste the Paizo Code ready stats in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Honors Echo no longer requires pregens!
They can use their own characters! The pregen requirement was lifted in a blog post right after GenCon.

If any new players are looking for a game, I just had a slot open up in Master of the Fallen Fortress. It's a quick module for level 1, and is replayable. We will be starting on October 6, but I want to get everyone checked in during the next few days.
I'm not new, Redilia, but I'd like the open seat if it doesn't fill for MotFF.

I'm new in the sense that I haven't done a PbP campaign yet, but I do have another character who was accepted into a different campaign that's waiting to start. I'm confident I can handle more than 1 character for PbP.

Hey, other GMs, I am running a table of MotFF, and my table is now full, but I have three other players who have all contacted me that they would also like to play. If anyone is looking for something to run for the second part of gameday, Izabelle, CrusaderWolf, and Gerald are all interested in MotFF.
I'd also like to get in on the MotFF game if someone wants to run another table!

Some are not; I don't know about some of the others. Izabelle is almost brand new. I would love to be able to run this for everyone who has asked me, but I'm feeling like I would burn out if I tried running more, particularly since several of my early gameday games don't look like they can finish in the first half.
For what it's worth, I'm not 100% new (I'm playing in one SFS PBP and running another right now), but this would be my second PFS game ever and I'd be happy to get into something like MotFF (as a player, not a GM, GMing one PBP is about my speed).

I am recruiting three players for a Through Mealstrom's Rift game that is part of Gameday VI: link to discussion thread Note that it is fine to chime in directly to discussion, there is no dedicated recruitment thread for this game.
A Pathfinder Society Special designed for 6th-level pregenerated characters.
Even the limitless Plane of Air is at risk of eldritch instability, and a cult dedicated to the planes' integrity has sensed an imminent calamity brewing deep within a primal storm. In this special adventure, the players portray a diverse coalition of elemental guardians that must embark on perilous journey into the maelstrom’s heart and avert a disaster that threatens the Inner Sphere.
I will reserve one seat for a play-by-post newbie, for me that is someone who has only played / is only in at most one other play-by-post game. I do not recommend this game if you are completely new to PFS.

Please note that this is for level 1 PFS RPG PCs only (aka this is for Classic PFS, and NOT for Core PFS).
The pregen requirement has been lifted as of GenCon: do NOT bring a pregen. For this game you must bring an actual 1st level PC. All stats must be listed clearly under the character's online alias.
Please note that we will run all 6 quests in a row, therefore once you commit your character, you cannot take him out of the quests and come back to complete them later.
Requirements:
- post twice daily and don't drag down the game by your lack of presence (you will not be botted unless you warn the group in advance of your absence; if you don't contribute to a particular quest - there are 6 - it will not be marked as complete on your chronicle sheet)
- have full stats listed under alias
- know the rules and be aware of what's allowed in PFS (in doubt, google 'additional resources pathfinder society')

GM William, this is a mistake that I make nearly everytime I set up a google slideshow for my maps. Fortunately, it's a quick and easy fix. It's also nice to see how many people want to sign up for your game! IF you need anything, ask me or Magabeus or the fine folks here in discussion!
