Coalhouse's eyebrows go up, though his gaze never leaves the form of the raven as he cautiously closes with the thing. "Won't know if you don't try," he suggests, then adds, "I'm not one for bashing spells - are you able to take it down some other way? Or take the king out of here?" He flicks a quick glance back towards the Aldori and the monk, the corner of his mouth twitching upwards at the sight of the former trying to shoulder-block his way out of the place.

Amavin's eyes flicker for a moment, as she tunes into the weather outside, feeling the crackle of atmospheric pressure against her skin and the changes in temperature outside, realising the unnatural storm clouds that were brewing outside meant even more trouble.

"I might not be able to dispel this wall of force, but I do happen to have three arcane scrolls of flight, so maybe we can fly out of it. I can spare one for the king, one for myself, and ideally one for a second bodyguard for the king. Three of us can try flying out of here and getting the king to safety provided one of us can pierce a hole right through this tent, and a few more of us launch a couple of ranged attacks right afterwards, just to clear a hole for the king. I'm sensitive to the changes of the weather outside, and I can sense something unnatural on its way, so we best be fast."

Aramil flies up, and cut the pavilion top tarp.
The sight is breathtaking. The funnel of a tornado is descending towards you, while blue magical flames surge upwards to receive it.
The noise from the falling storm is deafening!
The crow open it's wings, look upwards, and flies up, into the vortex and when it reaches it a glimmer of blue fire envelops it as it disappears!

Spellcraft DC 15:
Possibly it was magically transported. Maybe.

Spellcraft DC 25:
Yes, it was magically transported.

From outside of the carp you see the tornado falling upon the pavilion.
Round 3!

GM, can we fly out of the Tornado or is it too close to slip outside? Or maybe the time/rounds we have before its effects can be felt inside our cube of force? Or is it imminent?

Amavin experiences a strange mix of emotions looking at the tornado. Fear obviously, that the storm could crush everyone, but also excitement, as well as an appreciation of its beauty. Shaking her head and putting her emotions to the one side, Amavin immediately casts Fly, and soars upwards, joining Aramil towards the top of the tent, keeping an eye out should the Raven come flying back down again.

Interestingly enough, one of those really neat flavor abilities on the Stormborn bloodline suddenly becomes a bit more useful. I can treat all wind effects as 1 step less severe. I have no idea how this functions against a tornado but its still pretty cool!

Aramil shouts to Amavin in order to be heard above the roar of the impending twister. He's unsure if any of the others in the pavilion were able to hear him, but he hoped either Aolis, Trawets, or one of the others who'd studied magic would reach the same conclusion and tell the rest.

So, answering Christian, and if I am not mistaken...
Already disappeared in a glowing blue light by flying or jumping over the wall of force:
  • His Majesty Rupert Surtova
  • Rudolf Ferdinand Aldori III
  • The human sized raven
  • Amavin Zephyra (flew up to the vortex :O)

  • Trawets Aarock (followed them)
  • Aramil Wellys (Also flew out of the pavilion)
  • Coalhouse Porter (Jumped from the table, as Rudolf)
    Still inside of the pavilion:
  • Monk of the Cenobitic Order holding the table so others can climb it.
  • Dagit Downhill (over the table?)
  • Lord Christian D'Elagante
  • Ignatius Digenes Akritas (AFK)
  • Merus Lebeda (AFK)

Please note that Coalhouse didn't try to jump over the forcewall and escape; he voluntarily jumped INTO the vortex. Timing on that would have been when the king disappeared. (NOT when Rudolf (F, not PH) Aldori vanished trying to escape without any concern about anyone else, the coward. You can bet that Coal is going to challenge him and slap the crap out of him.)

But Coalhouse basically did a 'double-jump' - from the ground to the edge of the big table (which, considering it has to seat 20+ people, probably doesn't have only one center pillar, but many around its sides) and then back towards the middle, upwards into the whirlwind. Am I Missing Something?:
    Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something here.

Moving over the wall, in any manner - flight or climbing - gets you transported. The blueish glow gets them every time. I was under the impression, perhaps because of the oversized raven, that the blueish glow was both coming from, and an aura around, the vortex, and that the vortex itself was within a few feet of the top of the wall of force. I was under an impression, perhaps erroneously due to the fact that the 'distant' views kept saying that the tornado was lowering onto the site, that the vortex was actually descending all the way to the ground, the killing lightning-bolts being a recent surprise (and way to trim down absent PCs).

Coalhouse's intention was to go voluntarily, which seemed to me to be 'via the vortex's blue glow'. The half-orc is 5'8"; the table top would be 4' off the ground. 4' + 4' + 5'8" = four inches under 14' for the top of his head on the first jump, and if he's reaching out add another 2' or so, so he was reaching up to 16'. Now, on his second leap, the top of the force wall would (probably) be 10' off the ground. That makes it 10' + 8' (height plus reach) + 6' leap (DC / 4 = number of feet, 6'6" if you're generous), for a total vertical leap of 24'.

Considering that anyone who even tries to slip over the 10' wall gets transported, shouldn't he have made it the first time, if not the second?? Or is the transport effect only happening to people who try to escape, with Amavin's stormborn protection being the exception?

Explanation: Yes, those who fly up got transported. They didn't jump, they flew a good distance up. Not 24', a good deal up. Amavin and the big raven "exited" by going up, flying.
Coalhouse can try and jump and try to reach the "minimum distance" to get transported, but it would be hard.
But I will say Coalhouse wants to live, and will take the "other" way out, that is trying to exit the pavilion by going over the wall of force.

Coalhouse jumps over the wall of force, also disappearing in the bluish glow.

    DMPC Aolis
Aolis snaps of his stupor, moves on top of the table, and jumps off to disappear like the others.
The Monk of the Cenobitic Order nods at Christian, drops the table, and makes a jump towards him.
    Acrobatics Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
He reaches Christian's hand, who pulls him, together with himself, over the border, disappearing.
The tornado hits the bottom of the floor, and a huge explosion rocks the place. A boom is heard as far as Restov, and the glow illuminates the dawn.
Where the pavilion stood only remains a deep crater, some 10' deep, charred and blackish.

Will post more tomorrow. The main characters will move to a new thread. Now the Cohorts take the lead, investigating what happened, and dealing with the consequences of this weird event.
About your mounts, they escape, and are found nearby.

Oh, sorry. I thought everyone who was using some form of flight was using it only to get over the force wall and away sideways, not fly up into it. My mistake. If it's that far up, then yeah, he'd've gone over the side.

Hareth returns when the tornado hits the ground and disappears with a loud boom. He examines the crater with a deep scowl on his face... As far as he knows, everyone at the meeting was obliterated and his face twists in anger and grief.
