Drawing his dueling sword as he moves to interpose himself between the king and the creature, all versions of him doing the same, he says to Rupert, "You may wish to move away from the front line. Dagit huffs at those words. "but the best Dwarven kings know how to make that work! and 'not long' for a dwarf is long for a human" he smiles internally, but Dagit refocuses on the situation at hand.
Coalhouse slides to his feet, then starts moving around the edge of the pavilion, his hands absentmindedly patting himself down and looking around outside of it while all those on the inside are focussed on the raven. However, his movement will inevitably take it to the opposite side of the raven-figure ...

While the knowledge of giant variety of normal animals are not unheard of, you think you have never heard of a raven so big, and so proportionate. It looks, otherwise, completely normal.
Maybe an illusion? That seems to be Rupert thought.
Weaknesses? Shiny objects, compliments, pointy weapons... who knows?
Coalhouse miss the cloud whirlwind forming on top of the pavilion. Otherwise he sees nothing outside, besides a slightly cloudy dawn.

At the warning shout, Merus is once again alert after being lulled by the hours of planning. He moves towards the giant raven dodging the last few feet to avoid its reach, drawing his sword as he approaches. He then quickly lashes out at the bird, however he does so very defensively as he is unsure of the level of the threat...
Well, let's see if it is actually an illusion after all.

The raven seems to ignore the attack. Either is an illusion, or the attack didn't pass the feathers, or the creature is immune to it.

Aolis rarely encountered something that he knew absolutely nothing about. Unless it was something that did not exist or was extraordinarily rare. He thought it best to check for trickery, something dangerous or rare would not suddenly appear like this. He yelled at his comrade.
"Sacha, be on guard and get the mounts!"
He backed away and out of the tent. It made to tempting a target and enclosed space.
"I suggest we spread out at least. Perhaps consider retreat."
He felt no need to play into any plans or traps laid out. Their was no gain to remain and fight unless they were directly threatened. Not when they collectively had a small army with in a mere three miles. Still it rankled him, who or what was so arrogant or foolish to try something like this here of all places. They would have been in the wild in a mere day, more chances to deal with easier targets more successfully.
Amavin is strongly tempted to unleash lightning from her fingers, but also knows the danger in fighting something when you would be unsure of its abilities. The sight was disturbing, sure, but Amavin was determined to keep a cool head, and not let fear or anxiety cloud her judgement. She also takes the opportunity to cast Mirror Image, as she decides to pre-empt anything aggressive by working on her arcane defences.

Trawets screams as he looks at the Raven and then away quickly. As he stands there blinking his eyes, he shouts out, "That thing has the most powerful magic I've ever seen! It's worse than looking at the sun! There's a force effect around the pavilion. Probably a wall of force."
Azrael leaps to interpose himself between the visible threat and the king, but that place has already been taken, so he places himself at the king's side, blade drawn and ready to attack anything that might threaten Rupert.
Corwin, the tiny floating solar system near Azrael, reports on whether or not the Raven or anything else in the area detects as evil.

Christian moves towards the king drawing his weapon as part of his move action. Stands on the other side of the king.

Those around the King will enjoy a +3 Sacred Bonus to AC and Saves vs. evil creatures. All other allies get a +1 to AC/saves for every ally that is beside them.
Christian's voice is calm and decisive.
We need to get the King out of here, spell casters be ready to counter magic if you would please. I need another shield to cover the king. Someone, anyone find us an exit strategy now!

Alerted by his companions words, Ignatius Leaps out of his chair droping it to the floor while getting a hold on his greataxe, impressed by the sight of a monstrous raven standing behind Rupert, he hurries to the side of the king, along with the others to guard him, not wishing to take any chance of it being aggressive.
What sorcery is this?!

Closing the distance as quickly as he can, he places himself at the side of the Rupert, the front already taken, his axe glowing white light across the room.

The big Raven moves quickly, cleaning his feathers, and then lets a loud "caw" that makes you feel ill.
It opens his huge wings, and looks at you all.
You start to feel a whooshing sounds and a trembling in the pavilion ceiling.
Hareth sprints toward the meeting site and the pavilion... probably only to run into the wall of force when he arrives... He watches the swirling cloud over the tent trying to discern if it's evil or not.

I forgot, second round. People neat the pavilion would need a couple rounds to arrive, but as you approach you see the swirling clouds.

Corwin, I was forgetting, chimes a discordant noise and gets stunned in place, unable to act. By the emphatic link with Azrael he gets an impeding sense of evil, nightmares and doom.
Going about her usual morning business, Porablum is surprised to find Aramil not back from his late-night meeting. She sees nothing of strange weather patterns.
Trawets glances up at the sky and sees the clouds. "We've got a problem out here. There's a formation of clouds forming into a whirlpool out here and it's not natural!"
Trawets then advances to the wall to study it and see if it's a dome over them or a wall around them.

Sacha speeds her horse and Fylson along side her towards the pavilion. This was exactly why she stayed by Aolis side, that idiot of a so called king had to insist on dismissing bodyguards. For what, Aolis trusted her, anything said that was important she would know anyways. If something happened to her Master because of him, she would make sure he paid. Along with anyone else responsible.

The Monk of the Cenobitic Order keeps still, quiet, his head down and his hands together, as if making a silent prayer.
"Damned fine illusion if that's what you think it is, I just missed it. It seems real enough to me." Merus shouts back.
"Don't worry about me, I am actually better off engaged in melee anyhow."
Coalhouse, coming around the pavilion's curve, gestures at Merus, pointing 'away' from his own current location and line of approach. If the invisible wall is going to prevent him from getting behind the thing, Merus and he can at least come at it from opposite sides.
"So, now that you've got our attention," he addresses the bird, "Do you have anything you'd like to say? And maybe you mages," he adds, glancing around at the several of them present, "could try dispelling the barrier?"
"Considering Trawet's reaction and the mastery of magic displayed. Dispelling is not an option."
Certainly not for him, he had not prepared the spell and even if he did. It almost would certainly fail if the magic's power was great enough to cause Trawet to look away in pain.
