It's been a little while since we've had a general wishes thread, and it's always fun to get a temperature check on what the perceived holes are in PF2 as it currently stands. A good chunk of the most loved PF1 classes are back, with the recent confirmation of the Kineticist crossing off one of the options that consistently came up, and likewise there's been a steady stream of new and returning Ancestries. The Lost Omens line largely seems to prioritize the unexpected, with the imminent Impossible Lands taking us to under-loved locales and the just-announced Highhelm is a deep dive somewhere we've never been in depth.
You could play PF2 as it currently stands for a decade before touching all of its content! I don't want to ever appear greedy or insatiable, and that's worth making explicit. But it's always fun to know: if you could wave your magic wand, what would you have them make next?

A Shaman class I think would be my number 1 thing I want. (With Bloodrager and Shifter being high priorities as well)
A book on Arcadia( or more likely it would be one of the regions within it) would be neat as well.
And this might be a really out there concept but an ancestry(perhaps versatile heritage? Sorcerer bloodline?) connected to Coutals would be really cool.
Tbh... I could kind of see all of this and more packaged in a book about Arcadia.. So maybe thats what I want.

I'm very happy to co-sign all of this. Luis Loza's blog had Lineages for Couatl Aasimar and Sakhil Tieflings that I think about often. Fallen Razatlan is the bit I'm most excited for, but the entire continent thrills me. Plus, it's probably how we get Wyrwoods back!
Shaman and Inquisitor are the last two classes I'm really fiending for. I'd love for Mediums to sneak back in, and everyone loves a Bloodrager, but if PF2's classes wrapped up with those first two, I'd be pretty content.

Inquisitor would be nice. i think I often forget to mention it because it's such a given and I like my more niche babies a bit more. Medium would be nice to see...we have grown fond of the concept after realizing somethings personal about ourselves.
I am quite fond of Luis's Coutal Lineage! Haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

Stone, bone, obsidian and bronze weaponry and armor, for sure.
Also, phrenology, since Dark Archive brought back some of the occult unlocks. I'm tired of having to rely on Deception in order to handle people's skulls.
Archaic/fragile materials would be fun - craving some Dark Sun action, are we?
I don't think phrenology ever needs to come anywhere near Pathfinder again, personally. Let that one rot in the dustbin of history as the racist nonsense it always was.

If we get to the point where PF2 has what it does now, plus an Inquisitor, a Medium, a handful of niche Ancestries I really want (Lashunta, Minotaur, Sekmin, Wyrwood - the list's getting awful short, lately!), and Lost Omens books for the Broken Lands, Golden Road, and bits of Arcadia... I think at that point, I ascend into some kind of higher being, or am finally banished. Something.
I'm honestly still stunned we got Psychics back so fast, and ditto for Androids and Nagaji. Between those and the big Lost Omens setting books so far, Paizo's really taken some good bites out of what I have to beg for.

Classes: Inquisitor (or some other aggressive magical divine thing), the medium (or something similar that fulfills the space of channeling different things for radically different benefits).
I want a martial that does crazy weird things with special attacks and stances too. Less a concrete class idea and more just a general want.
Ancestries: Wyvaran, Stheno.
Settings: Vudra. Vudra.
Class options: I want them to exist in general, pretty please. Like goddamn the Investigator is two years old and it's got one new feat (and it's a capstone).
Give me a psychic detective investigator. A TWF magus.... maybe a feat for sparkling targe magi who use the shield spell. Gimme a weird aberration barbarian. And a weird aberration summoner. Also literally any other arcane witch patron please.

Elemental eidolons.
Wrath of the Righteous redone for 2nd edition Mythic Rules, so I can actually play it as the story is great.
Unchained PF2 rules for the summoner that make the summoner and eidolon separate with a more customizable Eidolon even if slightly more powerful for those of us that don't mind a little more power in PF2.

I'm onboard with basically all of this! I do think the 2e Shaman might end up in the Medium design space you mention, but I'm very eager to see both in some form.
Part of me is holding out hope for Wyvarans to sneak into LOIL somewhere, but I think we would've heard about such a thing by now... we'll find out soon enough. If they aren't mentioned there, I feel comfortable thinking they've been removed from canon.
An occult/psychic Methodology is painfully overdue. I'd gladly welcome Aberration Sorcerers, especially once Synthesists make their return.

I need currently:
1) more of tian xia monsters and oni back, would have been really handy for running jade regent
(in general won't say no to monsters who would be useful for running hell's rebels, hell's vengeance, serpent's skull, shattered star, return of the runelords or war for the crown in 2e, but those aren't hard to get back as region specific ones :'D )
TBH I could make whole list on "missing monsters from 1e I still need to 2e because they were my favs"(including poor gigas) but then we'd be here for while. And it would eventually extend to "creatures never statted in 1e but their existence were alluded"
(same reason I won't list "every region and planet and plane" and "all missing ancestries such as astomoi" because of course i want to see that :'D )
2) Large ancestries.
3) I'm still looking forward to 2e equivalent of mythic because I'm curious of the super hero flavored power campaigns and the 26-30 range monsters.
4) More kingdom building and warfare content. In general while doing my homebrew kingdom building character and homebrewing alignment system for it, I realized I'm always happy to see more campaign variant rule options :'D
5) I realized that I kinda want aranea to come back as sort of arachne ancestry and even more snek ancestries while doing my homebrew :'D You can't ever have too many sneks

Honestly, the kineticist, especially the way it looks like it's going to actually come out, has solved my deepest desire as far as such things go. I'm pretty happy as-is. That said, there are some things that I would still like to see eventually, when they have time for them.
I have said these all before, but I'm also mellowing a fair bit, so there's fewer things overall. The Kineticist is very satisfying.
Things that I still really want:
- The Shaman idea that @Michael Sayre suggested as a thought exercise, where they'd have ways of cashing in spell slots for other advantages... that's a bit shiny. The really shiny version for me, though, would be if I could take something like a Summoner or a witch or maybe an oracle and cash in all of their spell slots for interesting magical effects/boons/powers that weren't on an x-per-day ration. I'm not pushing for it, though. This is definitely in the "take the time you need" category. I'd much rather have it done well and extensively than have it done soon.
- More grappling more better? ancestries with naga tails that they can use to grapple. Ancestries with tentacles that help them grapple. Classes with tentacles that help them grapple. Extra feats from darned hear anywhere that give you magical aura or whatever effects that can stack extra unfortunate effects on targets once you've grappled them.
- Off the above, I'd love to see a class that reaches deep into the aberrant side of things just in general. "My superpower is that I am deeply, deeply weird." Aberrant summoners would also be nice. Ideally these things would come with useful grapple-based advantages.
- The Thaumaturge is inspiring. In particular, the implements are inspiring. I want "thaumaturge implements: the class". Make them interesting. Give them flavorful-but-not-crippling downsides and complications. Cash in the build budget for the entire rest of the class to fill them out as much as you can. Run everything off of Class DC - martial proficiencies like a caster, casting proficiencies like a martial. The flavor very nearly doesn't matter, though I admit that a bit of body horror wouldn't go amiss - symbiotes or mutations or something similar.
Things that I think would be cool, and that I'd like to see, but don't care about on a personal level nearly as much:
- Grenadier. Give me someone who can produce a variety of alchemical bombs, at least some of them at-will, make use of some of those alchemist bomb-boosting feats, on something resembling a decent martial proficiency chassis. Give me the thing that I wanted alchemist to be all along.
class paths:
- Rogue racket that gives them proficiency with alchemical bombs. Call it anarchist or something. Rogues *should* like bombs.
- Elemental barbarian. Pick an element. Your rage damage is of that element, you can throw gobs of that element (as a thrown weapon buffed by handwraps) and have a few feats that do things like give you a damaging aura or add a bit of splash damage to your melee hits or something. Because there are people out there who really just want to go to town on the enemy with the elemental damage type of their choice, and a barbarian instinct would let them do that without any additional complexity getting in the way.
Specific feats:
- Summoner: a feat that lets you turn your eidolon into a small horde, and a follow-up feat that lets you turn it into a swarm, with just enough rules support to make it feel reasonably satisfying. I want to have a guy who's ordering around a pack of highly effective zombies as the thing he does with his day, and the undead summoner is so close.
- Kineticist: a level 1 feat that lets you just pick a damage type for your powers. Tweak it however you want to tweak it to make it balanced right, but it would be dirt-simple, and it would give all of those people who want to play someone whose powers are themed on ice or acid or whatever a way to have their fantasy. I feel like leaving it out would just be pointlessly sad.
In general, though, like I said, I'm pretty happy already. This stuff is basically just a big pile of "nice to have".

- Would love some Lost Omens books that revisit Avistan areas. I really love Nidal, Qadira, Taldor, Varisia, Numeria, River Kingdoms, Sarkoris, etc. I know these all had 1e material but given the high quality of 2e material, I'd love to see those areas get that treatment.

1. Bastard swords that are versatile piercing. My pet peeve. But in general, more 1+ level non-magic gear would be cool.
2. Numeria and scfi-tech stuff. Maybe some starfinder conversions.
3. Large ancestries-- centaurs, ogres, giant eagles, sentient trees
4. More alchemical items that are not uncommon, and more gadgets.
5. Skilled cleric doctrines: inquisitor (for investigating), evangelist (for persuading).

A pure support martial and a caster completely focused on resourceless single target damage are the things I miss most in pf2e. Let me play a nonmagical character who is effective without ever making a strike, but supports more like a bard and less like an alchemist. Let me play a blaster who actually feels like a blaster and can fill the same role in a party as a bow fighter or gunslinger instead of feeling like a versatile generalist who is better at blasting than other versatile generalists. I don't feel like a blaster if casting support spells on the martials is an objectively better strategy than blasting the big boss monster in the face.

More options for current classes. Especially the non-core ones who have a really limited support and not so many feats when they were released.
Moar monsters!!!! The more the merrier. Not necessarily new monsters. A whole bunch of variations of common monsters (Ogre Wizard, Ogre Swashy, Ogre Magus, Ogre Farmer, etc...) so I can face an Ogre I don't know and not the classical Ogre Warrior I've already killed 10 times. Maybe a bestiary aimed at encounter variations: Monsters with very unique abilities, monsters designed specifically to be canon fodders and others to be single bosses, etc... for those who want to explore new dimensions of combat.
A balance/rule check. Removing the years old debate (Property Runes and Wild Shape...) and fixing a few balance issues here and there (mostly buffing the few bad classes everyone agrees on). It's more of a big errata than new content, I'm not sure it satisfies Paizo as it won't get any money in their pocket.
I don't care about new classes, new places, new magic items and new ancestries. There's so much choice available right now I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.
I think going into variations of the game, like Mythic rules, would satisfy me more. Like with the Bestiary thing: Providing more variation to players so they can experiment other ways of playing the game without getting too far off the basics.

At the moment, with both the Kineticist and the Treasure Vault book on the way, my biggest desire is a book focused on skills. I want more skill feats, and I mean a lot more. Some skills seem to get all the love, and it'd be nice to expand the Level 7 and 15 options a bunch. I'd also love class feats and archetypes that interact with skills more - stuff like Acrobat, Linguist, and a few of the Inventor's class feats.

Well, I second the many people calling for some form of the Inquisitor to come back as a Divine striker. It recently occurred to me that it solves several of my past character concepts that simply don't translate well in 2nd edition from their 1st edition Paladin concepts. But in retrospect, they most important part of them were being Divine Strikers. (as opposed to the Champion which is a Divine defender) As far as I can recall only the first Paladin I ever made, ever wore anything heavier than light armor.
I recall otherwise trying to come up with niches that are completely unavailable and really came up short for a while. However, reading the requests for an 'Unchained' version of the summoner not held back by balancing constraints that held the current ones. However, I don't want 2nd edition to go far down the path of Level of creature = approximate match of power, as if it loses that it loses a key central framework.
Things like free archetype and dual-class modify it, generating a change to the style and sometimes affecting power in some ways, and I appreciate those, and so would welcome options to introduce some optional rules to allow a Mythic play style that could potentially give the feel to level 1-20, and importantly extend play up into the 21+ levels.
So I hope they try to stay generally with their base concept of keeping balance in mind, so I hope they don't make a summoner that is is just an overpowered class, and tag it Rare saying... this is more powerful... allow only with care.
However, it occurred to me that there is still room for a solution that still could fit in the existing balance constraints. The current Summoner is limited in its power because it has be be scaled to be equivalent to another character. My potential solution... make a 'CHAINED Summoner' who's abilities involve magic helping to buff their Eidolon and defending them and themselves. However, they don't spend budget for having their Eidolon. Why because there is a separate class, the 'CHAINED Eidolon' which is a separate character, who's ability focus on being a martial combatant with some magical abilities for battle flavor.
By having two people play the two halves of the 'character team' you double the balance space for these individuals, opening up lots of room for more specialized abilities.
This premise even opens up some additional options for two more classes. 'Chained Companion' and 'Chained Familiar' options which would introduce options to have a player play the role of some other classes 'Animal/* Companion' or 'Familiar'. The original class would presumably take a class archetype that would swap out much of the 'cost/balance' of the the Companion/Familiar out and replace it with some other options/choices. The player playing the Familiar/Companion then has their own feats to spend on gathering abilities to benefit themselves and/or their pairs ability to work together.
There might also be an interesting option for a Class that could represent a 'unit' or 'squad' as a single unit. This could absolutely be very viable in a military campaign type story, where you could have a hero represent the 'lieutenant' and another hero representing the unit's mage, while two other characters could represent a melee unit, and a second representing more of a stealthy guerrilla unit. Such could expand the game to include more small scale mass combats getting played out with the rules.
Moving past the Classes I'd like to see, I'd also agree there are some Large sized ancestries I'd like to see. Things like Centaurs and Minotaur's come to mind. I also have to say there will always be a part of me that would like to see a Worg ancestry.
I'd like to see the re-introduction of something mechanically between magic items and normal weapons and armor. I personally miss masterwork items, and it feels like there is a spot missing without them. I would also welcome some rules for dealing with more fragile materials used in weapons and armor and potential ramifications of such usage. Useful if representing a campaign where cultures conflicting with another have different tiers\levels of equipment.

I'd really love a Darklands-focused book in the Lost Omens line with the underground ancestries and locales discussed and deepened.
I also would love a new Technology Guide with rules for some of the stuff from 1E, like robots, cybernetics, and high-tech weapons and armor and vehicles.
I'd like to see a new purely martial class make its way into the game, something very tanky and/or focused on buffing allies like what gets kicked around the boards a ton.
Just so, so many different kinds of eidolons we're still missing...
And finally, I have no idea how it could be implemented, but ever since undead archetypes became a thing I've been hoping we eventually get a worm-that-walks archetype.

More Witch stuff!
After 2 years, the class has gotten a total of 3 new patrons (all of which are rare), and has gotten 2 new major lessons (also both rare) for a total of 4.
It's also intended to be a "pick your list" class, but arcane or divine witches only have 1 patron each to pick from, compared to primal's 3 or occult's 5.
The only unique feats it's gotten since release (meaning ones that aren't available to other classes) all came from an AP, too.

Mostly some missing options for already existing classes that can be made as Class archetypes and some old PF1E concepts that could be implemented as normal archetypes:
- Bounded and Martial Bard and Cleric class archetype. They could mostly work as they are just changing the spellcasting and the proficiencies.
- Sythesist Summoner class archetype. Paizo, give me my mecha construct.
- Specialised Alchemist class archetypes with martial proficiencies and some action economy busters.
- A magical Barbarian subclass. Probably one that uses focus points to do stuff.
- Samurai and Ninja archetypes. Iaiutsu in 1E was fun and some of the ninja tricks were really, really cool. Both could be made easily into PF2E (Give me more weeb stuff!).
- Literally anything that make gunslingers work remotely well with combination weapons.
And that's it, really. With all the stuff that was announced I'm pretty much covered. Well, centaur-like and minotaur-like ancestries would be cool as well.

Some other things that we would want.
A satyr ancestry
-A cyclops ancestry. now I don't mean like capital C cyclops, since those are large sized and kind of have an interesting place in lore. But a one eyed humanoid could be fun. I could see maybe even a Stheno equivalent, where they play with some of aesthetics and lore, but are built from the ground up to be playable ancestry friendly. I could see some fun ancestry feats based off of divination.

An errata process that is not tied to print runs.
Being tied to print runs means stuff is just broken forever with no end in sight at all.
Bestiary 1 is still not fixed and includes a bunch of errors like the soulbound doll (Abomination Vault got erratad before one of the first books in the system), storm giant, clay golem.
Guns and Gears apparently sold out too fast and now it needs to be sold out again before they fix the issues in that book.
Secrets of Magic is also over a year old now with some errors like Magus' Arcane Cascade, which got fixed in an adventure path but not in the book.
For several of these errors they are known (e.g. gunslinger proficiency) but is not up on the FAQ which seems like a very wasted opportunity.
Some errors are easy to fix with home rules, others you just have to ban from the table and some it is impossible to know what is even intended. I would love some kind of streamlined process here.

More multi-action activities for Martials that represent cool specific weapon techniques.
A weapon draw archetype for my Iado fantasies, to incentivize weapon switch and draw slashing.
Ninja and/or Samurai archetypes or class paths would be cool, we have a viking archetype so culturally specific warrior tropes should be on the table. Ninjas with focus spell Ninjutsu could be cool, say as a rogue racket or its own archetype appropriate for rogues.
Dual Wielding Magus Hybrid Study.
More Witch Hexes.
Flying Mounts, especially for Dragon or Drake Riding as like, a fantasy. I wouldnt say no to a high level archetype that enables it, or feats for existing animal companion archetypes.
Mythic Archetypes you take at 20 for five extra levels of progression and demigod tier (Demon Lords, Empyreans, Oni Daimyo) monster statblocks to use them with.
More and higher level humanoid NPC statblocks for more people centric campaigns.
Book of the Dead but on Celestials, Book of the Dead but on Fey.

I'd like to see a little more modular options for games. Kingmaker did an amazing job introducing new subsystems into the game with kingdom management, wilderness-themed rules (like camping, cooking, and weather) and even mass combat rules (I wasn't sold on the concept before, but reading how it's executed, I'm pleasantly surprised to discover I really want to try it). Between Kingmaker and the Companion Guide, it feels like we got a soft rulebook expansion for the game. There's so much there. So more of that would be great. I'd love to see a book all about dungeons, with advice for making them (mechanically and narratively), dozens of premade chambers you can pick and connect to as you see fit, tables and hazards and options for different themes (like a dungeon built inside a massive tree, or in an abandoned mine), etc. I've been looking forever for a book entirely devoted to the making of dungeons, but they're just so rare; usually the dungeon-making options are a side feature (1e Gamemastery Guide had the best resources here, I've found). Paizo's made some of my favorite dungeons, so I'd love to wield more of that family's creative insights when I'm making my own dungeons. I positively can't get enough of the atmospheric mystique of these haunting locales (the old Zelda fan in me)!
Also, slightly related, would be nice to have more rules for player character home bases. Age of Ashes touched on this in Cult of Cinders, giving PCs the opportunity to refurbish an old Hellknight citadel and turn it into their personal headquarters, with options for fixing it up, improving it and adding new utilities, defenses, and attractions. More options for that side of the game, please. Like Kingmaker's kingdom management on a micro level.
Sailing would also be great, although I have no idea how far down the pipeline that'll be. Happily, Smoke & Sail on Pathfinder Infinite has been sufficing very, very nicely.
For character options, going to second Shaman, and also an Envoy/Herald/Emissary type class. Happily, Legendary Games put out some fun rules for both those things, so I'm pretty happy in the meantime. Some kind of Giantkin for an ancestry option would also be welcome (Minotaurs, Centaurs and Doppelgangers too!).
It's kind of nice, this feeling – so much of what I've wanted in Pathfinder is here already, and for many of my games, my only limitation these days is my own imagination as GM. It's really nice to see how the game's matured so much after only a few short years. I'm really satisfied with everything Pathfinder's done, and incredibly eager to see where it goes next. This is easily the best RPG I've ever had the joy of playing with. Thanks Paizo people!

Seriously, they knocked it out of the park for the 1e Kingmaker and Wrath entries and PF2 is just so much more mechanically refined and balanced, that in my view, the only real reason why I could think that they're not already doing this (for all I know they ARE) likely owes to the fact that there hasn't been any real "smash hit" APs for Second Edition quite yet.

Owlcat has said they make PF1 games because it’s a system they play in the office; if they aren’t into PF2, it’s not happening through them, not least of which because they’re getting Games Workshop money at the moment.
Rogue Trader’s a better fit for them, IMO. Their style skews more towards edgy 1e than the more considered lore in 2e.

I screwed up and forgot to mention the Shaman in my post, which has quickly grown to be a class I want just as much as the Inquisitor - helped, somewhat, by the idea of them sharing a hypothetical book on faith. They're necessary for me, at this point.
If we get more Book of the Dead-style monster books, aberrations are at the top of my list by far... and fey are near the bottom.

In no particular order...
- Additional support for existing classes.
- A Darklands book.
- Large ancestries such as centaurs.
- Rules check and errata on longstanding problems.
Don't know how I forgot this on my list but Darklands book is a must for me. One of my favorite parts of the setting.

I'd love to see a GMG 2, filled with more general and skill feats... But also functional rules to remove skill feats from the game without gutting Medicine and such. More variant rules, expanded subsystems, I dunno. Maybe there's not enough there for a whole book? I feel like I had more ideas but they're missing now.
Maybe unpopular, but more full bestiaries. The halfsies ones are neat but Book of the Dead for example I just find myself wishing it were monsters only by this point.
I'm not very excited for the kineticist, though I certainly believe it is a smart and healthy class to add to the game, but boy it's a bit less fun when there is no playtest or class additions I'm excited for at the moment.
Personally I need an absolute load of more aftermath and defiant feats. Great additions but so limited in scope to this point!

I agree with this completely.
Though tbh the feeling of "great but so limited" is something I feel constantly in PF2. Archetypes that look awesome but only have a couple feats. Ancestries that are very cool but don't have a lot of options.
For one extrme example, an Inventor I just made qualifies for 71 level 2 feats, but only one of them is an inventor class feat.
I get why PF2 is focusing on breadth over depth, but so many of these options are crying out for some backfill.

You probably don't have to worry about a fae book anytime soon. After all it's Paizo policy to treat third party well, being former third party themselves. They won't want to steal Legendary Games thunder.

I can still see them doing a fey book. Though less of a "Book of the Fey" and more of the "The First World".

Depending on how Rage of Elements goes, I’d like a book that does something similar with the other inner/transitive places: Ethereal, Astral, Shadow, First World, Dream, and Time.
