We should ask Cherry to develop that... counter-missile missiles and counter counter-missile missiles :) Some kind of chaff that mimics the ship's ID, so if it misses... it misses. But, if it hits... kinda like Mirror Image spell... level/2 could be how many "images". Maybe a Missiles Vaccine!

If everyone is OK with it, James is good with being the party/crew face. Leading through crowds, etc... I like the feel Rando, takes me back to the 1970's series! I remember many a scene with Starbuck/Dirk Benedict wading through throngs of people. You've captured the setting, nicely! Captain might beat him in raw Charisma, though.

He is a Scout, but that archetype does not give up Trap stuff, it gives up Uncanny Dodge. Not picking on the DM, just clarifying. Stuff happens, sorry if I didn't call it out!
Didn't take this as a rag on RP, I like RP... a lot. And, I was the fat kid, nerd, etc. Just helping define and clearly understand the concept folks in the thread, mainly OP were after. Personally, I like both types of games. For different reasons, obviously. I do enjoy the tactical game for the converse of what you stated. I created a build that has advantages and disadvantages. Want to see if we're clever enough to play to our advantages and help each other shine. Enjoy both types and the rare game that stalled that fence. Game on! ps: and yes, if my character is waiting for someone to take a 5' step to a particular space and allow me to unleash 3 precision attacks and possibly end the encounter... but they wax poetically and don't take that step... I'm a bit annoyed. mechanics are the "housekeeping" but, by all means, embellish as you wish.
