This game has been running just over 5 years and you are one of the best. I hope I've reciprocated a fraction of the joy you've extended.

I only wish the best for you and yours, and if that means stepping away from this table, you have my blessing.

I would love to keep in touch if you are OK with me bouncing game ideas off of you (asking your advice) from time to time.

Do you think Dunstan has a mortal master? Truly? His master does not seek what's best for you. His master is your enemy, my enemy. They pit us against each other. They tell you that you are what? Cleansing Venice?

You your forces and ours have decimated one another, they will swoop in and destroy us all. We have a common enemy and for better or worse, my enemy's enemy is... my friend. I believe that is from some ancient Indian text. But, I digress. He pauses.

A family was taken as hostages, as bait... two men, a woman and two small children. They are innocent, they know nothing of the darkness in the world you have been made privy to.

Not sure if you've had any exposure to this adventure or at least the way the boss man runs it...

Thom's Story
Ranging far and wide for work as (caravan drover trait), he'd heard about the giants' encroachment (giant slayer trait) and endeavored to get back home and protect the people of his home town.

I remember there was a Half-Orc in town, junk/scrap yard or garbage dump? Could be related to them, half-brother or something. Maybe mom is still in town, dad was killed by giants.

He's a feinting rogue, for that extra +1d6. Hopefully not a fainting rogue :) Elephant in the Room helps, thank you!

He'll be more capable at uRogue Lvl 3 (character level 4?), when he gets +Dex to damage.

Planning on multi-classing into Fighter relatively early, for whip proficiency. He should come fully "online" as they say by Lvl 6 (+5 BAB, with Improved Whip Mastery).

With an emphasis on RP and character development, this should be fine?

Depending on how the party looks at that time, I can go more Rogue or Fighter as needed.

I'm not sure if it's always the case but, with Elephant in the Room... does Weapon Focus apply to an entire Fighter weapon group?

And, do you enjoy maps? Some builds I'm thinking of might be dependent upon positioning, flanking, reach, etc...

Too funny, my son-in-law just rescued a kitten from the backyard/woods about a month ago. Found it in the underbrush... named it Twig. The name inspiration for my goblin submission.

Dropping his bow, Djack moves around the horses, drawing his rapier as he attempts to tumble past the troll and double team it with Amideo.

I'm imagining Fralk being in a clockwork cockpit inside the steel ball... part hamster wheel, but the effort magnified by the clockwork gears.

I think I'm going with the Green Tongue (Ex) <<< Link (if that's OK) for level up similar to reason below, with Minor Magic (Message) as the downtime bonus granted. He hasn't used it yet, but...

The contact with the entropoids (the big nasty ones) where he failed his Save... unlocked something in his mind.

Working and studying with the wizard helped shape it and bring understanding.

It's all mostly RP and in keeping with his "fairy tale," magic and whimsy persona.

Was trying to keep the "brass ball bearing" from hitting the ground... keep things quiet. I imagined it falling slow motion about to alert with the sound of hitting the hard ground. Building drama!

@GM Plastic Dragon - also, if you've under estimated the time required to prep or run a game (it happens). Or if stuff just keeps coming up (it happens).

No one (reasonable) will fault you for delaying or postponing indefinitely. Don't give in to perceived or real peer pressure.

RL comes first, Self, family (including pets), work, etc... You'll do your best GM'ing when you're in a healthy less-stressed space.

Scratch the itch by joining a game. It takes less time and you can get ideas for (the mechanics of) running your own game.
