Sincerest apologies, as I meant to keep up... But travel with friends abroad kicked my butt. Between time zone and no personal time, posting was extremely difficult.

I don't travel much and posting-wise, things didn't go my way.

Will have my updated sheet up soon, got a few more edits to do but I unfortunately and annoyingly caught Covid, and my brain feels like mush as a result of it. I'm on the mend though, and should hopefully be more up to it in the next few days.

Having read the book and followed it's activities, Yoltzin's Con score increases by 1. (yeah, 12 to 13, not that useful, but it do what it do).

I'm ruling manuals and tomes can be used once PER INDIVIDUAL, not just once, so the rest of the party can follow the manual before next session and raise CON by 1 as well.

Party might also consider whether they want to buy a "Headquarters" in Albarra, or perhaps some sort of secured storage room, for items they don't necessarily want to carry with them.

I'll allow room cash costs from the Rooms and Teams rules. RAW is x2 if you pay directly by cash, but since we're not using the actual Capital subsystem, I'll charge x1 only.

I couldn't find a court so I whipped this up as a smaller version of "Ceremonial Room." It can double as your office.

Upgrades From Common Room
This is a large room with a central desk (for the judge), benches and tables for defendants/litigants, and several small pews for observers. Its primary use is for hearings and trials, though it can serve for other small events such as civil meetings and weddings. It often features an elevated area for the judge or leader of the event. A person leading or officially speaking at the event gains a +1 bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks to influence others at the event. This bonus ends when the event ends.

I like that a lot! Also, Amideo is updated.

My magic items are +1 half-plate, +1 longsword (+2 vs undead), +1 cloak of resistance, and +1 ring of protection.

Side note, the Circuit ability is so hilariously crazy. It's a geographical radius that's 25 miles per level. So a 20th level circuit judge has a 500 mile radius of their circuit, which can further be increased because you get two additional communities within the circuit that you can measure your distance from. So that means if you put them at the edges it's 1500 miles across. In real-world size, you could basically have the entire West Coast as your area of judicial influence.

Yeah, that circuit ability does sound kinda wild. But, I think it's good that the range is so large so can actually leave the city now and then.

So I've got the next adventure pretty much ready, I'm looking to restart sometime after July 4th, potentially having the initial post up the 7th or 8th.

If you haven't completed updating your characters already, please try to get them done by then. Also, I'd like you to consider two things:

1. In addition to the Courtroom, did anyone want to use any personal or party funds to purchase any adjoining rooms, such as a Vault to store party treasure, or lodging for a portion of the party (I believe only Rocko has his own hut, the rest of you are still staying at the Friendly Mesa)? If so, we can skirt the construction time rules a bit and say they've been built once downtime is over.

2. What would each of you like to accomplish over approximately 3 weeks between adventures? You can earn gold, earn small amounts of XP, or potentially other sorts of boons depending on your choices.

Amideo would pay for the Court Room and also probably advocate for building bunks or lodgings for the party.

I think he'd spend most of the time on the road, getting a sense of what communities exist in his jurisdiction outside of Albarra, and building what connections he can with them, both in terms of trying any cases they might have but more so establishing his legal authority and good-will towards the people.

Oh nice, I see that the ritual bowl has a magical effect on it now. Very cool. Yoltzin has been perfectly content lodging at an inn, but she's been with the group long enough that staying in a more established area would seem an interesting idea for her.

Man, that ritual bowl actually will be an amazing boon for her. I'm thinking- if permitted, Yoltzin might finally want to try tapping into that onyx store of hers to create something of an undead companion companion. As a 5th level cleric, she has access to Animated Undead now as a spell choice. What do you guys think of that idea?

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and purchase "Bunks" with the party funds. The bunks will be in the same building as the courthouse but have a separate entrance.

Not sure I want to see what a drunk Yoltzin gets up to... Speaking of, btw, I finalized thing with Rando to create an 'undead companion'. We'll be getting ourselves a super spoopy skeletal buffalo buddy. Can't wait to see the party reactions to that.

I've posted downtime narrations based on what I could gather from what you wanted, or what I could come up with on my own. I left Yoltzin's downtime narration to Mal, who I believe was coming up with his own narration.

I've given out a couple of magic items and other boons, either within the narration or via PM. I've tried to keep things fair and balanced.

Amideo had the most value in items, so receives little in the way of boons. Djack was second, so I gave him a very minor magic ability, which at this level certainly shouldn't sway anything one way or another.

Next was Yoltzin, who is receiving a pretty decent companion roughly based on the Animate Dead rules, and who was first to read the Manual of Bodily Health to gain a +1 Con boost.

Finally Rocko, who got some magic gloves (ala Gauntlets of Ogre Power) giving him some more melee damage.

It should be noted I'm houseruling the Manual of Bodily Health so it can be used once PER INDIVIDUAL vs only once. Technically the whole town could read it, but it would take a long, long time and become a little dangerous if word got out. So keep that in mind for future downtime. It only takes six days to read.

If anyone feels they got the short end of the stick on stuff, let me know via PM and we can try to work out a compromise.

Okay, we talked about some specifics after the last urban defenders game regarding the creation of your new companion. I had thought we brought up you writing a narrative yourself, but I could have just misunderstood.

In any case, we'll go with whoever gets to it first mentality. If you've put one up by the time I go to write the first post for the next adventure (sometime this weekend), fine. Otherwise I'll put something up to that effect before I put up the initial in-game post.

Good timing! They've just left on their journey. I had them leave without Amideo, citing "other pressing business" he needed to attend to. But now we can have Amideo ride up while they're resting for lunch.
