You needed to recover at least two of the three Shining Crusade texts, you got all three. You also needed to recover the Lines of Succession text which you did.

* escape the library without alerting the Lion Blades,
* avoid combat with any Lion Blades,
* avoid giving away Princess Eutropia's letter,
* recover all three of the Shining Crusade texts,
* accumulate at least 11 Deception points (accumulating 15 or more Deception points counts as two conditions).
You had a 50% chance of failing to gain one of the Shining Crusade texts since it was in the room with the book swarm. One of the four books was part of the swarm, fortunately it wasn’t one of the two relating to the Shining Crusade in that room.
I would have to do a detailed review of deception points, but I do not think you accumulated enough to pass that task. Deception points were a measure of how well you covered your tracks. Things like Toral covering the tracks, Igor and Iacopo placing the books back, not stealing the vials from the desk in the secret room all helped with the deception points.
Had you avoided the book swarm or used less fire against it and repaired the books that would have also helped quite a bit. When I played through it, our group detected the pages ruffling and our oracle did an augury. Based on the augury we never opened that cabinet.
I have also seen groups able to defeat it with blunt weapons, but I do not believe that your group could have. The bleed damage in that swarm can be very nasty!
You also earned the boon for Glorymane, an intelligent Lion’s Shield.

Huzzah! I'm so very excited for an intelligent shield! Thankee kindly GM! What a fun (and confusing, lol) adventure! I think this is probably the only session where I have never even drawn my weapon... well ok to be fair I probably drew it while I was running toward the mysterious sound, I just didn't have time to do anything about it til it was already dead, lol
And just in case anyone is curious, my moniker is because she hums her own battle song (headcanon its Indiana Jones, lol) when fighting.... because her next level is going to be in SKALD. :D
Awesome it was a blast even if my crusader was out of his element. It is nice to see some different mission styles and systems in play. They are often hit or miss but this one works well enough in PbP.

No rush on the Chronicle. I am enjoying my # of games dwindling down on the backend of the convention and this guy has a particular set of scenarios he wants to play, mostly all the Silver Crusade ones. Looks like the next ones are 5-04, 5-105-19, 9-18, 10-12.
