The crusader walks back into tavern carrying another slip of parchment. He reads off the strange-sounding names.
"All right, would nightdeath, Luke_Parry, d'Eon, I'm Hiding In Your Closet, Amazing Red, and Qwerty 1971 start making your way to Tian Xia. You should get instructions when you get there."

A lone man walks through the door first eyeing all the postings that have been filled. Slightly disappointed nothing was open he speaks loudly into the crowd of people. "Might anyone be in need of a sneaky dude that's great with a bow and even better with locks?

"What're you lookin' at?" Growls the huge man at the bar.

How do I sign up? I'm also new to pbp pfs games.

Normally, GMs will post a link in the Recruitment thread of this campaign. This particular game is different though, because you will be replacing a departing player, and I'm not doing a normal recruitment.
So . . . send me a PM, that way I will remember to PM you back when the game is starting.

Sometime within the next week, I'm planning on starting a Confirmation - Wounded Wisp - Quest series specifically for new players.
I'd love to get in on this. After hanging out with GM HMM, rknop, and IronHelix at PaizoCon, I think PbP will be perfect for me (I'm an airline pilot - lots of layovers in hotels with nothing to do but post.) Would eventually like to start GMing PbP, but figure I need to get some test flights in first.

@Nomadical And HMM just ran a Learn to PBP GM game. We all took turns to GM a section. I was in it and it is really good. I am now GMing 2 games on here right now. Keep an eye out for that if she runs another one.
Nomadical |
@Nomadical: It looks like Aeon's game has already filled up, but I will be running The Wounded Wisp and The Consortium Compact in a couple of weeks.
As corrected, but if I don't get into his, I'll definitely sign up for yours, thanks.

I shall! Thanks for the tip.
I'm definitely not a new-to-PFS player, but it will be my first ever foray into PbP. Either way, I'm good, and there's no hurry.
The odd little man with the slick, curly mustaches saunters away, singing under his breath, Don't worry, be happy...
And no, that's not a character doing that. Now I've got that song stuck in my head!

(It's been about a year since I've played some Pathfinder and I've been craving it immensely. I just started a new job doing administrative assistant type work and there's a lot of downtime where my co-workers have suggested that I find something to fill the time, so I figured it's time to find a few good PbP games to join! I'm currently juggling a few character ideas for my new PFS character who also happens to have my Eyes of the Ten boon so I'm trying not to waste that potential. Hopefully I can join in on some of these early games and get this new character on his feet. Will make a roleplay-type post with the character once I've decided what I want to be. Nice to meet you all!)

Petrok walks in the Flaxseed lodge and is immediately overwhelmed by the amount of people in this tiny establishment. is it an extra-planar dimension? It certainly didn't seem that large from the outside. Perhaps I walked to close to the Pesh stall down the alley?Petrok shakes his head, vainly trying to clear the clouds from within.
He walks up to a fellow with a tray of beverages. Kitchen staff usually know the order of a house.. How do I find a venture captain here? I'm looking to be re-assigned to my homeland for a time, I've business there. The waiter looks through Petrok like he wasn't there and turns to walk away. Petrok grabs at his shoulder to rebuke him for his rudeness but his fingers slip through thin air. An illusion! Is everyone in here an illusion? Who is real and who isn't? Who am I supposed to talk to? I need to get back home! I need to be in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords once again! I've spent too long running around the deserts of Qadira. I want to go to a place I know..
Hope my post is in the spirit of the lodge. I've a simple request. I'd like a GM to step up and run Keep of the Huscarl King; Shades of Ice III PFS#2-19, for my 4th level Shaman and any 3-4 other players that wish to play. My character's back story is based around the Realm of the Mammoth Lords and I will be running this scenario for my PFS group in about 4-6 months. Therefore, I'd like to play it before I run it; as to not be, too spoiled. In return I offer to buy the pdf for a willing GM and offer him a seat at my PbP table when I run Ire of the Storm later this year (on PbP)
GM Fuzzfoot |
@lucklesshero - I'll take you up on that. Have you already run parts 1 and 2? I don't need the PDF (already own it), but happy to join the Ire game when it comes along.
Anyone else interested in joining? Sign up here: GM Fuzzfoot's sign up sheet

I would be interested, too. All my non-level-1 characters are already in PBP games, but I'd be fine using a pregen of an appropriate level if necessary. I just don't want core.

There's a waitlist column on the far right of the sheet. Judging by the number of people on there, I would expect Hmm to open up another table or two. There are certainly enough GMs that are interested in running. Your best bet would probably be to add you name on the waitlist with your desired level, so she has a better idea what tiers are in demand.
I will say that I don't think a pregen would be a good idea for this one though.
GM Andrew |
Just as a note: If you were to play a CORE pregen 1 in the level 1-2 (Or a first level CORE character), it could technically be transferred over to Classic if you play a Classic game with it later (Or applied Classic credit) since CORE characters are transferred to Classic once they have Classic credit applied to them. Then, if it's still level 1 (or a newly minted level 2 that hasn't been played at level 2 yet) it can be rebuilt to a full Classic character.
Not only that, but if you played it in CORE, if this special were to ever come up to you again for play, you could play it again in Classic.
Not sure if you'd still be interested in it because the game itself would still be CORE, but just wanted to point that out just in case.
Goldur Twinthunders |
Does that mean there are Core slots open? Because I don't see any.

Turmoil (as usual) is right on the money. I am indeed now looking over the Cosmic Captive Wait List. I have some GMs to talk to, because getting CC to the backup GMs is a non-trivial task. I will be moving on this -- and other Cosmic Captive Questions -- this weekend.

Petrok stumbles around the huge lodge. I've found a couple comrades to travel with me back to my ancestors lands..... in The Realm of the Mammoth Lords. Is there not one or two more experienced Pathfinders that, want to seek riches and fame in, The keep of the Huscarl King?
Still looking for another player or two in GM Fuzzfoot's game PFS#2-19. Playing tier's 4-5. sign-up sheet here;

So it looks like the only tables that will happen will be levels 1-2 for Cosmic Captive.
Zachary Ringler and Pete Zero, you both signed up with higher level characters. Do either of you have a level 1-2 character to bring in? I'll be PMing you as well.

Naafih Amari |
Naafih arrives at the Flaxseed Lodge, early as usual, and makes his way to an empty chair to regain his breath. The young 20 year old had the habits of an elderly man as he coughed a few times before finally getting his breathing back on rhythm. Resting comfortably in his chair now he let his mind wander through its ocean of knowledge as he dozed off and waited for someone to wake him up when it was time to go on a mission.
Maar the Volcano Monk here with my level 1 Oracle waiting for Cosmic Captive. Excited to play!

I just started House of Cards, and was struck by how well this one quote characterizes Frank Underwood, “I love that woman. I love her more than sharks love blood.” And it's not just the shark simile, there's also a lot of power in the grammar.
So, I’d like to issue a Mad Libs challenge to Flaxseed. Fill in the blanks: “I love _____. I love it more than _____ love _____.” Or if it suits your character better, "I hate _____. I hate it more than _____ hate _____."
