A young halfling burst into the tavern, a giant smile on this face and dashing hat on his head. Aha! I, Sir Dydimus of Eastgate, have finally arrived! Lords of Flaxseed my blade and my spells are at your disposal. Removing his hat he gives the assembly a sweeping bow. Now When do we Drink!?!?

![]() |

Trotter greets the new arrival and explains, "Well some of the agents bring their own alcohol, which is of course permitted, but this is not exactly a tavern per se; my family has turned it's estate into the second Pathfinder Lodge of Cassomir and many agents use this as almost a second home I guess."
It's funny how so many people think this is a bar or tavern. I guess because that's the sterotypical place for adventurers to hang out and meet or something like that.

![]() |

Ace raises his head from one of the nearby couches. Did someone say alcohol? Leave it to me Trotter. This will be the best tavern in Absalom...

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

"Which will be doubly impressive, Ace, as we're in Cassomir!" the Venture Captain shakes his head and leaves the local rock star to his partying.

![]() |

S@&~, really? Where am I again?

![]() |

"Cassomir is in Taldor!" Trotter reminds Ace, shouting over his shoulder as he walks back to the library.

![]() |

"Finest place in the world, mate." The lanky Taldan casts a quick cantrip and summons a hand drum, which he proceeds to play with some measure of competence. Just before the spell expires, he brings his solo to a blistering finish, puts his fist through the drumhead, and hurls the broken drum at the ceiling. It vanishes before it hits anything. He gives a florid bow.

Ace sighs as his head rests on a well-appointed pillow. I knew I should have left those mushrooms I found in the sewers alone. Heh, who am I kidding.
Ace grows perturbed by the drumming outside of his head. Don't you know this is my quiet room in the morning and afternoons? He pulls the pillow over his head to block out the annoyance seeing as how Trotter has no alcohol for him.

![]() |

A thousand Pardons Lord Flaxseed. How very gracious of your family to open your home to those of use dedicated to exploration. The halfling gives another grandiose bow.
Since we are in Cassomir what are the chances of someone running the Devil we know arch for a group?

![]() |

I ran the entire arc last winter and GM Tektite ran it this past summer but I'm sure there are plenty more interested in playing. The second one is pretty lacking but the third one is great.

![]() |

When I ran it in RL I ran the second one first as kind of an intro, it works pretty well especially without the faction missions.
My plan was to do an entire series in Taldor but there were to many issues with people already having played certain scenarios

GM Rutseg |

A corpulent man enters the room in the Logia. He is wearing an studded leather armor over colorfull vestments. A longsword clinging over his pants. He looks around and then calls: "Venture Captain Ambrus Valsin is in need of some brave Pathfinders not afraid of cold and goblins. Register yourself in this list for recruitment".
I hope you don't mind the intrusion. I understood you were accepting other GMs posting in the logia. Let me know if I am wrong please.

![]() |

@GM Rutseg: That's exactly what the Lodge is for! Go for it!

![]() |

An elf enters the lodge and bumps into the back of the dwarf. The elf was obviously distracted by the book he was trying to read as he was walking in.
"Ouch, move on fellow! You can't just stop at the entrance and gawk at the sights!"
Without waiting for a reaction the elf moves past the dwarf and gets a cup of tea at the bar. He then settles himself in a comfortable chair and goes back to reading his book.

GMTrex |

A portly and unremarkable dwarf enters the lodge and pins a couple of papers to the notice board. With perfect diction, he calls for attention in the common room. "AHH-hem! The Decemvirate is in need of two teams of agents, and hopefully there are enough loitering around here to fill the rosters.
"First! An unusual rat infestation has recently been plaguing this very city of Cassomir. No doubt you've encountered the vermin already." He looks around the room, as if expecting to see a pile of rats right there under a nearby table. Recollecting himself, he continues. "We need a team to investigate this development and put a stop to it.
"Second! Drandle Dreng in Absalom recently received a strange letter from an 'associate' in Kaer Maga, the City of Strangers. I need a team to travel to Varisia and track this 'associate' down.
"Now, roster sheets are on the board. I will return on the 5th of Lamashan to issue writs of travel and get you on your way. Thank you for your attention." With that, the dwarf leaves as quickly as he came.
Hi folks! Since PbP Gameday 3 has been announced (sorta), I'm going to get started on recruitment early. Since there's been some interest expressed here, I'll be running the Devil We Know series and fitting the first game (Part 2, rather than part 1) into the Gameday. If folks are quick, we might get the second one in too for extra boon opportunities! We will complete the rest of the series after the Gameday period. Please only sign up if you can commit to posting at least once per day and are prepared to go the whole way.
The second series I'm running is the City of Strangers arc, also from Season 1. It is my goal to get both scenarios completed within the 3-month period of the Gameday, so please only sign up if you can commit to posting at least once per day (preferably twice!) and are prepared to do both scenarios.
Sign-ups are HERE. Both games will START on October 5th. Feel free to PM me with questions. Thanks and looking forward to gaming with you all!

Dotting here for potential future games

![]() |

The elf replies, without even looking up from his book
"I am about to embark on an assignment of the utmost importance, fellow Pathfinder. It would suit you to not disturb me."
While he speaks he moves his hand and a quill flies to the roster board, signing his name at one of the rosters.
Signed up for the Devil we know series

Thanks! Hoping to have Iron Man finished up by the 5th, if not I have a handful of characters I could play.

Karu the Bold Strider does what he does best: makes a grand entrance. The doors to the Flaxseed Courtyard of Training and Death (TM Pending) burst open and Karu stands there, sunlight at his back. Antonella breaks the moment slightly by stumbling in, begging for some water before falling onto the lush carpet in the dining hall. She is soaking wet. It's been a while since I've had to find some of you lot for missions, we've had a slow down, but apparently we are back to business. I got four missions on deck for you lot.
Karu unfurls one of the three scrolls in his hands, breaking the wax seal of the Decimvirate. First, it seems we have a trip down the road. It appears that Venture-Captain Alissa Moldreserva from Galt will be giving the briefing for this mission in a few days time. It says that she will be reporting here for the briefing. Make sure not to embarrass me on the mission. I don't want to hear that you got winded walking to the tavern or such... His eyes bore holes in the passed out form of Ace.
The Slave Pits of Absalom (1-5) recruitment is open and will start as soon as it has four recruits and will take up to six.
Karu unfurls the second scroll after posting the previous recruitment form on the board. Second, we have... hmm... interesting, a trip to Katheer in Qadira. You lot will be escorting a trove of treasures back from the wedding of a fellow Pathfinder. Be on your best behavior! Any takers? Several hands shoot up. Alright, looks like we have four volunteers. If anyone else shows interest, have them report to the docks immediately. We depart in the morning.
Our Lady of Silver (5-9: Subtier 5-6) recruitment is open and has four recruits, however it will take up to six. Gameplay will be posted shortly.
Karu opens the final scroll. Third, we have a mission out to the Mwangi Expanse. I'm limiting this to anyone with some experience... as determined by me. Apparently, we have found a "lost city" and need explorers. No fresh meat allowed on this trip.
Lyrics of Extinction (7-11) recruitment is open and will start as soon as it has four recruits and will take up to six.
Karu slams his fist against the board, his finger pointing at a yellowing parchment. Finally, this mission has become imperative for the Decimvirate to complete. Briefing will be held in the morning. He rips the missive down and crumples it up before tossing it in the waste bin.
Black Waters (1-5: Subtier 1-2) recruitment is full and the Gameplay thread will be posted shortly. Members of the mission will be: Khelreddin, Merck, Mr_Shed, Pathmaker, Andrew Trexler, and Tranquilo.
Tuna! Back to the salt water pit. I heard about your performance in the harbor and we will have you swimming like your namesake before the end of the day. If not, then 300 laps will be needed before I depart for Qadira tomorrow.
As I have seen in my recent scenarios, I need to be stricter on trying to find a group that fits into a subtier, thus I will be trying to mesh people into a subtier based on recruits and avoiding things like three 7s in a subtier 10-11 or one or two 4/5s in a subtier 1-2. These either make the scenario insanely difficult or boringly easy.
EDIT: LINKS TO THE CAMPAIGN WILL BE POSTED IN THE RECRUITMENT THREAD AND IN THE GM BOLD STRIDER EXCEL SHEET.

Baldwin stands at the call. "Hmm, wedding procession escort. Good. I could do with some easy gold. Come on, Lana. Let's go get us some fancy dress for the occasion," he says speaking to his polearm. He uses the weapon as a walking stick as he struts out the door, nodding to the recruitment officer. "Docks tomorrow. See you then."
Sadly, once out the door he decides to spend his time fraternizing and drinking rather than trying to buy shiny clothes. So polished armour will have to do.

Fine, I'll go to your 'lost city'. A bedraggled man raises from a chair in the corner. What ever it takes to keep me from going back to Mendev.
Nevaeh, the Aasimar who hates being a paladin signing up for Lyrics.

![]() |

A tall, slender man with a rapier at his side strolls in with a catlike grace. He listens carefully to Karu's summons.
"I am ready to return to action. I would relish the chance to further the cause of Liberty!"
Tod is a swashbuckling fighter, but I have a TWF rogue who's level 2 if that makes subtier better. Volunteering for Slave Pits, will add to list when I can get on a computer.

"Slave Pits....sounds like my kind of place"
Sign me up for the Slave Pits. I'm finalizing this cleric still

![]() |

"I am not a fan of the slave trade, but I will endeavor to enter the slave pits if that is what is necessary."
Please count Farin "Fuzzfoot" Hogan in for the slave pit scenario. Level 1 Halfling Bard.

Karina strides (boldly) into the dining hall of the Lodge, her plate piled high with meats and vegetables. The mission board catches her eye. Wow, the missions my father posted only hours ago already have enough recruits?
Lyrics of Extinction (7-11: Subtier 7-8) and Slave Pits of Absalom (1-5: Subtier 1-2) already have four recruits each and will be starting in a few days. I don't like to start too many scenarios at once because the beginning of a scenario is the most GM intensive with questions and exposition. I will likely post the scenarios in two days, but everyone is recruited and it will start shortly. Also, glad to see GM Tektite still up for the death grinders. >.>
Recruitment is still active on these scenarios until we hit six players or until we start the first encounter.
Edit: @Fuzzfoot: Please update the information of yourself on the Excel spreadsheet titled "GM Bold Strider's sign up sheet" at the top of the thread. I entered your name in.
Double Edit: Black Waters had one of the recruits drop, so there is one spot available.

"Boy! Lots of assignments in need of agents right now! Keep your eyes open, Pathfinders!"
Trotter pins up yet another sign up sheet to the board in the Lodge.
GM Trex's sign-up sheet has been added to the top!

Khelreddin |

A pale-skinned elf stands and heads for the door, clearly intent on some important business. As he goes, he passes the Venture-Captain in charge of the Flaxseed Lodge and feels compelled to pat him on the back. "I must say, Trotter, your lodge has certainly become a vital hub for Pathfinders looking to serve the Society. You should be proud. Maybe one day you'll serve drinks, too. Well, I'm off, see you around!" He strides for the door, tucking his slender rapier by his side to avoid any unpleasantness in the crush of adventurers gathered by the sign-up board.
Gotta say, EF, your set-up here has changed the way PbP PFS recruitment works, and very much for the better! Props to you for a very good idea and great implementation of it.

![]() |

Ace mutters to himself while sipping some elvish absinthe as the man walks out the door. Pfft... He should come in on Fireday night when Trotter goes to visit his family... Best party in all of Cassomir.
Also, whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment. Great job. Now get that girlfriend of yours to play in my scenarios. :P

![]() |

Thanks everyone!
Mrs. Endless and I are indeed married now as of July 12. And yes, Mrs. Endless plays PF/PFS. She's currently in my Iron Gods PbP game and has played a couple PFS PbP scenarios before. We played a lot of PFS (and Reign of Winter) back in Bloomington but have yet to test out the PFS community here in Madison yet.
Glad to see the Lodge is working like I intended! Hope it works for everyone! If you see any other stray players or GMs out there, let them know about the Lodge! The more players and GMs we have the better it works!

thunderspirit |

Yeah, it's too early in the marriage to have a girlfriend yet. Need to give it some time still. ;-) (I kid, I kid. As I tell my own wife: I'm flattered she might think I'd have the energy. LOL)
Couldn't agree more on the Lodge, BTW. Great idea done well.
JMSO, Madison has a pretty solid PFS community, EF; some high-maintenance types, but every area has those, don't they?

Edit: @Fuzzfoot: Please update the information of yourself on the Excel spreadsheet titled "GM Bold Strider's sign up sheet" at the top of the thread. I entered your name in.
Thanks! Updated.

Debralaine strides into the lodge, dress flowing in behind her. "What a charming place." She remarks to no one in particular.
She spins around slowly taking in the whole of the place, "Not as big as the Grand Lodge, but then not many are..." It now seems that she may actually be talking to someone, but the lack of eye contact with those in the room becomes a little disconcerting.
"Still, it is good to be back in Taldor."

GM Derek W |

Another newcomer makes an appearance, although this one starts out by reading from a parchment:
"Well met, Pathfinders. Venture Captian Jorsal of Lauterbury requests out aid in Mendev again. During the Siege of the Diamond City, mt party was sent to garner the aid of Venture Captain Thurl. Well, his Lodge was abandoned and his notes implicated him in the breach of the city's defenses! We need a team to investigate the sealed basement below his former Lodge. Find out just what this Traitor was up to."
I am looking for 2 more for 5-09: The Traitor's Lodge (3-7 Tier). First four spots are claimed by a solid group of PBP'ers who I've GM'ed for here for just over a year. All are level 3 or 4, so we're looking at the 3-4 subtier. Current party: Half-orc Inquisitor, Human bard, Human Urban Ranger, Gnome Alchemist. Please post back here if interested. Recruiting thread will follow in a day or two.

![]() |

A tall, bedraggled man call out from a chair in the corner Ha! I knew they would be looking to drag me back to Mendev! It doesn't seem like the is talking to anyone in particular and isn't even looking at the newcomer. Better luck next time Ragathiel, you mean old bastard!
@ Derek W, good luck with your recruitment. I'd love to play that one but I'm full up on pbp at the moment.
@All,
FYI there is someone looking for players for Mists of Mwangi over in the requtment boards, HERE

![]() |

A low rumble can be heard, echoing the Mendevian Herald.
"I, Basalte, shall help you. I will report to Venture-Captain Jorsal at once."
Very much interested in playing The Traitor's Lodge, even more if you are the GM!

![]() |

I will also play the traitors lodge as a cleric of Sarenrae level 3
I shall help you in this time of need as a man stands from the back of the room. A necklace depicting Sarenrae clings to the outside of his robes.

![]() |

A well dressed Taldon man with black hair and goatee pauses from sipping his scotch just long enough to point to Tyraneus's necklace, I'd keep that necklace hidden if I were you, at least until you get out of Taldor.

Antonella breaks the moment slightly by stumbling in, begging for some water before falling onto the lush carpet in the dining hall. She is soaking wet.
Sensei or no sensei, If he calls me ‘Tuna’ one more time …
Antonella hauls herself into a sitting position on the floor and crosses her legs as she enters the lotus. Closing her eyes she releases any negative emotions as she soaks up the Zen of the Flaxseed Lodge.
Once Karu has finished speaking her eyes open but she remains sitting as she replies respectfully. “Sensei, Venture-Captain Hestia Themis has requested I remain in Cassomir for the time being.”
Praise the Master of Masters!
“But I very much look forward to continuing our training once you have returned from Qadira. Pre-dawn, cold water swimming in Cassomir’s Locker as the Ships of the Line purge their bilges has been unbear … unbelievably stimulating and I feel much closer to Irori as a result.”
Antonella’s party is currently being beaten up by GM Tektite in Cassomir.

Lol, I had -- I'd also been lurking in that thread -- but thanks anyway! For those wondering, my Devil We Know / City of Strangers games are still on, but will be moved back to Nov 1 as well.
