Khāṇa's Inspiration being rather limited, she uses it quite sparingly (free Inspiration rolls, of course, are always made!). She will only use it on attack rolls if doing so would make a decisive/life-saving difference. Since her Necroforensics/Commune With Spirits pool is higher and more difficult/limited to use for its primary applications, she will readily use her Sixth Sense ability unless the effect is too weak to be worth it (e.g. bane, dazzling effects, effects that only last a few minutes when time isn't pressing, etc). That said, she will likely use Commune With Spirits when the options available are worth the minute it takes to manifest them. Since she can use Sixth Sense to reroll saving throws, she probably won't use Inspiration for that (except perhaps if saving against an effect from an incorporeal entity, per Spirit Sense), and probably will save her Defiant Luck to force rerolls of critical hits. She will use Whispering Spirits first-thing in any fight that poses an appreciable danger, unless perhaps the situation seems like a good time to stay at range with her bow. Her greataxe is usually her weapon of choice, but she will use her kunai against enemies resistant to slashing damage, her shortbow when melee space is limited and/or she is wounded/finds a foe too threatening in melee, and a pheromone arrow to start a fight with a particularly strong foe, especially if anyone/anything else in the party also has the Scent ability. She is neither particularly brave nor particularly craven. She is entirely open to (in fact, would decidedly prefer) non-violent parley with sentient undead who are themselves open to it, and is about as "True Neutral" as one can reasonably get when it comes to moral decision-making: Be it dead vs living, oppressed vs oppressor, rich vs poor, cops vs robbers, establishment vs upstart, many vs few, she is a cynical sybarite who is swayed by neither compassion nor cruelty - although some partialities of hers include urban over rural, smart over stupid, and pleasure over puritanism. |
