Actually that is incorrect. Scenarios, except for evergreens (tier 1-2 scenarios or modules or others so designated as evergreen) are once per PLAYER. You can benefit from playing it once and you can apply the credit to a different character if you GM the scenario. If you accumulate GM stars through GMing, you can use these to 'reset' your play throughs for a certain number of scenarios, allowing you to replay them with a different character for credit.
Then there's CORE....

![]() |

Shhhhhh, that's the Raging cleric/sailor's secret....... But really, Core is pretty fun if you like challenges!

So, any GMs planning to run some 1-2 scenarios soon, especially but not only First Steps or Confirmation? :)
Also, a question. How open are PFS players but especially GMs to the idea that characters don't know class distinctions like we do (while it does say it in a few places in the book, I find many players, especially newer players, think that everyone in world knows exactly their class and alignment and speaks it every day?) Some examples are a priest of Nethys can be a cleric or a wizard or even a magus and when asked what his profession is, that priest says exactly that... he's a priest. Second example, in the description of the Spell Dancer elf archetype for the magus it says that spell dancers don't see themselves as separate from wizards, many see themselves as wizards that study how movement relates to the arcane arts. I ask because in a way, that's how Bethany sees herself. She's not a 'magus' she's a wizard like her father, she just also happens to be quite proficient with a whip and using her arcane magic to augment that.

![]() |

I'm totally open to people describing their professions without using Class names. However, especially in a format where you can't just click on a profile to see what someone can do, I'd accompany a descriptor like "priest" with a quick description of what your character's strengths are in a party.

With regards to the question, I think the characters classes etc is irrelevant to how the character identifies themselves. The class is just to give other players/GMs good idea of what to expect from that player in terms of skills and what not, but for roleplaying purposes, that character can identify as whatever they like, in fact I welcome it as it brings to a more roleplaying experience on the table! That is my opinion.

Oh, right! I mean, it does say "Magus" under my name, just saying that she won't be telling people she's a bladebound kensai magus, she'll say she's a wizard and also a priestess of Calistria (I do plan to have her 'day job' be Profession Courtesan and that reminds me of another question, how does PFS handle religious characters and tithing? I mean I know it's optional, but... what do people usually do?)

Exactly. This character, for example, is a sorcerer who believes that he is a cleric. And nothing, believe me, absolutely nothing can dissuade him that the other PFS character (of 10th level), which he worships as the Prophet and The Savior, can give out 'divine' spells to him (or to anybody else). And in order from happening in the future some dissonance (and displeasure over this) with the other players, I just warn them in advance (in the metagame) that this character has such oddities.
...Hmmm, I think it's called "role playing games" :)

GM Hmm |

Bethany, I am sure that someone will be GMing evergreens again soon. However, I am betting that most GMs who are running the special are being cautious right now, not wanting to add any campaigns until they see how the workload of Blood Under Absalom pans out.
Is Bethany your first PFS character? And can we take this conversation to the discussion thread?

Moving about and chatting casually with his agents, Trotter overhears Quain's title and notes, "Greatest entertainer? Magnificent? You sound like my good friend Trade Prince Ali Khalid Mustafa Ansari ibn Adeeb, THE AMAZING ALI and self-proclaimed greatest magician in all of Golarion. Perhaps you should meet."
----
Trotter then approaches the front of the room and takes up his usual position on top of a stool, trying desperately to look over the crowd but really only managing to look a few patrons in the eye.
"Agents! I've got another request from the Decemvirate and this one may require some of our more experienced members to step forward. We have all heard by now about the Korholm Agenda, the faction of the Aspis Consortium that launched a staggering attack against the Pathfinder Society a year ago. The Agenda’s leader has allied himself with one of the most powerful men in Thuvia, and together they are on the cusp of pitching the entire region into a brutal war of conquest and greed."
"Well, the Decemvirate has placed its trust in our humble Flaxseed Lodge here in Cassomir to stop this internecine conflict. To do so, we'll have to confront the Korholm Agenda’s leader in his own domain. So I need six volunteers willing to make the trip to Thuvia."
Hello everyone! I am recruiting for 07–28 Ageless Ambitions for levels 7-11. You can sign up here but please read the conditions below first! I think the last group I recruited is really taking the second point seriously and it is making the game a lot more fun!
I will roll a lottery for winners either tomorrow or Saturday but we won't start until next week (Monday or Tuesday).
Thanks and good luck!

A grizzled crusader pops his head into the tavern, waits reverently for Trotter to finish like a doe-eyed initiate himself, and then says, ”I think I heard outside that invitations were coming in for the next Confirmation. Any initiates might want to check and see if they’re on the list!”
He ducks out as fast as he appeared.

Dr. Rowan Strayts |

A man in dark clothing with an equally dark cloak wrapped around himself, wearing the mask of a plague doctor, enters the tavern. He moves over to an empty table, provided that there is one, and sets down his gear, ordering whatever the current special is along with a glass of milk. He sets his bag on the table and removed his healer's kit, checking it over. He does this for all of his gear and eats his food while he waits for a job to come in.
Level 1 Alchemist(Chirurgeon) who focuses in healing. Can be leveled up as needed, just made at level 1 to have everything in order. Looking for any PbP campaign that will have me. New to the paizo forums and unsure how to get started, but here's my figurative hat in the ring.

A skeleton walks into the Lodge and leaves a fine parchment note on the corkboard that calls in elegant script for "a brace of brave adventurers, some experience necessary, but not vastly so, strong stomachs and curative magicks also well recommended."
Recruiting up to 2 more 3rd-to-4th-level adventurers for Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts, here! All welcome, but healers in particular!

A haggard-looking man, who on first glance vaguely resembles a fairer Drandle Dreng, is bodily shoved into the tavern by a figure obscured by the evening shadows. Looking as if he would like nothing more than to be somewhere else, he quickly recites, "A-a few Pathfinders are to board the next ship to Almas, Andoran. From there, they will go to a new location, as will be described in a b-briefing at the local Lodge. The honorable Trade Prince, Aaqir al'Hakam, r-r-requests more socially-inclined agents given the specifics of the mission, but all hands can be put to use!" With that, he bolts back out the door, leaving an acrid stench in his wake.
Recruiting here for my first PbP game on these here boards, a CORE run of 7-22 Bid for Alabastrine. All are welcome, I have no preference as to tier, and, as I said, combat-focused characters may not be/feel as useful but fun can still be had with them if they are who you want to play. More details in the above link.

The same man comes fairly flying through the door once again, this time deciding to enter of his own accord rather than be pushed. The strange figure is nowhere to be seen this time, not wanting to take any chances in the pale morning light. The man coughs twice, doubles over, straightens up, and stammers, "The f-following Pathfinders are to depart for Almas immediately:
Electra Firemind,
Magga,
Beronûsh,
Khellek the Historian, once you're ready,
TheWaskally, (pending character),
and Hakotep Flaxseed!"
He then tears out of the tavern, although smelling slightly less awful this time.

Venture-Captain Adril Hestram, a bear of a man with only a few teeth left in his head, hauls himself into the lodge and bellows, I need some agents to pick up a codebook in Absalom. Make sure you're knife-proof though, you'll have to head into the Puddles, so it's not quite the milk run it sounds like.
Come over here if you're interested - we're heading out soon!

GM DevilDoc |

A barely discernible wisp of smoky fire floats through the keyhole to the tavern before lazily circling near the ceiling of the room. It finally finds a small cleared area of the crowded room and darts down, coalescing into a pillar of flame in the shape of a tall man. Its booming voice reverberates through the room "New aspirants to the Pathfinder Society are summoned! Your mettle will be tested, and if you survive, you will be Confirmed as a Pathfinder in good standing!"
With a sudden roar of flame and a woosh of air, the pillar of flame disappears, sucked straight back out of the keyhole.
I am going to slowly start getting up to three tables running for a beginners arc. I imagine that the slots will fill up quickly, but I will stagger the games so that they will start over the next several weeks as the tables fill. We will start with the Confirmation, move to Masters of the Fallen Fortress, and end with Wounded Wisp.
Please pay attention to which tables are for whom. I currently have them set up as one table for Beginners, one table for Veterans and one mixed table for overflow. Please fill up the primary tables before moving to the mixed table!

A young woman sitting next to the Halfling with the harrow deck stares into her recently emptied mug.
"I didn't realize when I joined the pathfinder society that it would be filled with drunkards and eccentrics..." She mutters to herself, apparently unaware that she is speaking loud enough for everyone in the immediate vicinity to hear her tactless comment. Then she sighs and brushes a flyaway strand of platinum hair from her eyes.
"I would like another please." She says more quietly to the barkeep, whom she doesn't realize is probably too busy answering the Halfling to hear her.

![]() |

A young adult half-elf looks over at Vaette. "Hmm, were you looking for me?"
He has two drinking mugs in front of him. One wooden pint, now half-full of ale, and the other a beaten pewter mug full of holes.

GM Hmm |

"No, I wasn't, but carry on anyway!" The woman in the mask genially pours ale for Searlas before moving on.

![]() |

Vaette flinches in surprise and turns to look for the source of the unexpected reply.
I cannot say that I... She begins to say, but then looks the man over. Her eyes slide downward, than snap back up. "I... I'm sorry, have we met before?"
She tugs nervously at the collar of her heavy leather armor. "Why did I think I would need to wear my armor today, it is not as though someone is going to walk into a tavern and start trouble."

![]() |

"Erm no... you jus said somethin about drunkards and ex..es...ex...es."
A small somewhat translucent house finch climbs out of the pewter mug and stretches its wings. It chirps a few times and in clear common says "Eccentrics!"
The half-elf glowers at the bird. "Yesh, I know the word."
The bird turns, flies a lazy circle around the half-elf's head and chirps at the bartender. "Water please! Water please! No more ale! Water please!"
Continuing to glower at the bird he shrugs. "Hey... you know what th'book of Cayden says. A hangover ish a... is.... ish..."
The bird settles back onto the pewter mug and slowly crawls back inside. From within a few more chirps come out. "Master makes it up!"
With that the half-elf turns somewhat red. "I'm not your bloody master!"

![]() |

"Why am Ah al-ways asked tah do this stuff?" grumbles a heavily armored half-orc, his multitude of holy symbols to Abadar, big and small, dancing back and forth as his posts up a notice from Venture Captain Canayven Heidmarch on the wall.
"Pathfinders needed to venture into Nidal!"
Recruiting for 5-23 Cairn of Shadows. It's looking like high tier.

![]() |

"That is unusual!" Vaette exclaims excitedly. "I have never seen a familiar before." She continues.

![]() |

"You can keep him... he's a bloody nuisance."
Another chirp echoes from the bowl "Language, Master!"
"I'M NOT YOUR BL-"
A loud chirp drowns a few words out from the middle of that sentence..
"- MASTER FOR THE LAST TIME!"
He calms down for a moment, then looks over at Kleetus.
"Whass goin on in Nidal?"
The bird leaps out of the cup, flies over to the board, hovers a moment, and flies back.
"Hahahaha nope... I like living thank'y"
As the bird hops back into the mug it makes sure to get the final word. "Coward!"

A very excited little gnome rushes into the lodge.
"Have you heard? Osprey is after a team! It sounds very important. Something about the fate of the world I expect."
She sighs, her hair changing colour as she does so.
"He is *so* hansom."
Two tables for 00-16 To Scale the Dragon (level 5-9). One Core, one Classic. I'm going to be a bit controversial here and say no occult classes for the Classic game. I find they turn season 0 scenarios into a bit of a cake-walk.

"Can Numair and The Copper maiden please meet for a briefing in Osprey's quarters?" she asks.
"Oh look, an empty spot.. CORE I wonder if I could sneak along"
One spot left for To Scale the Dragon in Core, please check in here
Prisim leans over towards The Copper Maiden, and quietly asks "You're not related to the Snork Maiden are you?"

![]() |

"The Snork?" An eyebrow raises, curious. "No. I thought you would associate me with a viper, of sorts." She looks at one of the locks of her hair, holding it in front of her mask. "Yes, I know, I have to refresh my tattoos..." The woman stands and and exits the lodge, looking for the nearest caravan out of the city.

![]() |

Wow! Yay! A moomin reference!
A grizzled half-elf raises an eyebrow, the cracks a smile at the mention of the Snork Maiden. "Ah, the snork maiden's no viper," he says, his tone just the slightest bit wistful. "Kind and sweet she is, with a flower behind her ear. It's many a day since I've thought of her."

A handsome half-elf dressed in colorful and fine seafaring clothes, plenty of jewelry and sporting a finely crafted rapier on his right hip strides into the lodge. His smile is wide and his sharp eyes take in the room and all those present. He walks to the recruitment board, giving it a quick once over, before finding and dropping into a comfortable seat somewhere. As if expecting someone, he leans back in his seat and relaxes, seemingly quite at home.

![]() |

A cloaked figure enters the lodge slowly and stares silently at the people around. He eventually sits at a table, and speaks with a low, rasping voice.
"Looking for agents. Mission in Absalom." he says briefly, putting a paper on the table.

The announcement of a mission makes a small gnomes head turn, his great mop of cerise hair taking a moment to catch up. Kronas slides off his stool and bounces over to the table where the cloaked figure is now sitting, his hand waving in the air "Oh, Oh, I'm an agent..." he unclasps the Wayfinder attached to his belt and shows it to Voros "See! Fully confirmed and everything. Is that the sign up sheet? I'd like to sign up. Can I sign up? My name's Kronas, Kronas Kronglic by the way. A pleasure to meet you!" He sticks his hand out in greeting and tries his best not to stare at the cloaked man's sharp teeth.
Just signed up :)
