"No parties!" Trotter calls out. "At least not until the official Pathfinder Ball later this spring, but that is a formal event. This is a Lodge and you folks should behave yourselves like true Pathfinders. We're not going to rival the Heidmarch Manor if we hold parties at our Lodge; no one will take us seriously!"

"Hey, Trotter?" Meg asks, coming around the corner from the library, scratching her head and looking at a book in her hands. "I found this book about succubae, and I thought I would try to read up on them in case I have to fight some more in the future, what with the crusades and all. But there are a lot of big words in here, and I don't know a lot of them. What does "erogenous zone" mean? Is that like a weak spot?"

![]() |

"Uf- um, uh, yes, uh-kind of, but, uh, no. That-that's, ug, referring to the, uh, um, more, um, uh, sensa-sensitive, um, areas. Yes, areas. Succubi are, um, they can, uh, eat, uh, parts of, um, s-souls through, uh, touchi- uh, physical contact, so they, uh, would, uh, value such, erm, places." Ernest sputters out about demons, visibly reddening. "Especially, uh, man-souls. That's why, uh, Mother told me to, uh avoid touching, uh ladies, cause they, uh, might be demons in, ug, disguise."

Trotter's reaction is very much like Ernest's. He goes red in the face and begins to sputter for a moment, "Erm, ah, yes, well, um, perhaps this is not the venue in which to, em, discuss this. And, ah, perhaps, um, your, ah. . . guardian or parent. . . would be better to ask about, um, that."

![]() |

"Big words dont mean much. If weak spot, Wreck dont care. Wreck hit it hard many times, till they die."
The half orc thought he might add some insight on the matter

I'd be happy to show you if you like, says the Taldan. Perhaps you'd have a better understanding that way. However, this may not be the best venue for such a discussion.

Trotter rolls his eyes as Ace enters the room. "Ace? Of the Flesh Puppets? Are you behind all this? I heard about what your band did when you were supposed to be rescuing some dwarves from Razmiran! If I find out that you were behind all of this you'll be recataloging the library for a month!"
Recataloguing, you say? Prominent band posters in the front, next to my brand new book "Faces. How to rock them, then make them fall in love with you" by the Starchild. Available for 59.99gp at your nearest Pathfinder Lodge. Where to install the bar....
"What does "erogenous zone" mean? Is that like a weak spot?"
Slides over across the newly minted bar, being stocked by the Flesh Puppets' roadies. Name's Ace. Maybe you've heard of me. I can show you all the weak spots.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
"Not the right venue? Should we be in a church or something?" Meg asks, obviously confused.
She smiles brightly as Jaysin and Ace offer their help, though, brushing curly black hair away from her rose-emblemed eyepatch. "You two would help me? That's great news! It's nice to meet you, Ace! I can't say I've heard of you, but you must be an expert demon hunter!"

![]() |

Craft(Oblique Reference): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Well baby, I'm the lead guitarist from the Flesh Puppets. You know, the Chelaxian rock band? All of us are extremely well-versed in these weak spots.

![]() |

Sense Oblique Reference: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
Overhearing the conversation, Baz looks up from his Chronicle and stares at Ace for a moment. "Did you by any chance work a mission up near the Glass River?"

![]() |

Ponders for a second, his hand idly tracing one of the eye sockets of a Silver Razmiran mask. Ah! Yeah, that was one of our better concerts. Not a lot of groupies up that-a-ways but man if there wasn't a freaky sorceress out there. Oh Henny, my inspiration. I'm sure I'll see her again. On the other hand, I think we found some new fans... Dwarves, if I remember. They liked our riffs, but they were locked into that underground sound.

![]() |

Baz nods. "I believe I heard or read of that mission. Unconventional, but successful. Well done." The tiefling says, his hand moving absently to his holy symbol. "Congratulations." The tiefling goes back to reading through the chapbook, occasionally stealing a glance at the bard.

A tall human stides into the lodge and finds a seat. His grizzled face is stern, but creases around his mouth show he is fond of a good laugh. The man sets a large, unstrung bow dwon next to him. He then takes an axe from his belt and begins to clean and polish its cold iron head. He continues while speaking to Trotter.
"Well, Venture-Captain Trotter, there's strange doings in Varisia, that's for sure. Sheila's got her hands full, and no mistake. I'm not sure you'd quite want to rival Heidmarch Manor in that respect! Although I hear not all is well in Cassomir. Hopefully your crew will get to the bottom of it soon enough. I'll be ready to head out again as soon as I can restock my arrows and get the demon blood off this axe."
I only put my name on a couple of signups, but I can earn credit for any of the games you've listed. I just put the ones I've been itching to play the most.

Wreck looks up at the human carrying the axe and grinned
"Axe is good weapon. Nice and sturdy. Wreck also uses axe"
Wreck pats his almost ethereal looking great axe

Once again a messenger runs in to hand Trotter a new note. After reading it over Trotter smiles and announces, "Well it seems that despite the best efforts of some of the people here, our reputation is maintained! Sheila Heidmarch has just written to me and would like some help. Someone in the city of Magnimar is committing crimes and leaving evidence implicating the Pathfinder Society. She has left it to us to get to the bottom of it. I need a few agents who are willing to make the trek to Magnimar right away!"
Head over there if you are interested!

"Wreck cant let society be hurr. Wreck go teach people manners!"

A richly dressed half-elf woman with jewels woven into her hair walks into the.
"Greetings, gentlepeople. I understand that there will soon be an undertaking to the western reaches of the Worldwound, into Kelish territory. Sounds terribly cold and primitive, but I suppose a little discomfort is a small price to pay for a chance at the stores of forgotten Dwarven lore. I will be attending this mission as a representative of the church of Abadar."
She picks up a book on demon lore and absentmindedly leafs through it, not really paying attention to the contents.
"I wonder what the Kellid mammoth hides are worth in Magnimar?"

![]() |

"Pathfinders! It seems the Society is on a push to get as many people out in the field as possible! I'm specifically looking for agents to intervene in a skirmish between Nirmathi and Molthuni troops over the control of a borderland keep. I'd also like some agents to investigate a virulent and fatal disease coming out of the small town of Karpad. You'll have some time to get ready before you need to head out but see me for more information! Be quick about it; I'm heading off to Galt to deliver a very special sword to Venture Captain Eliza Petulengro."

The second PbP GameDay will be upon us in exactly one month! This time around I have decided to run two modules: Fangwood Keep and The Midnight Mirror. Both modules are written for level 4 characters so you can play characters of levels 3-5 in them. Hope to see many of you there!
p.s. Those of you currently in my games: you should be free by April 5th without any problems.

![]() |

If available, currently just started Murder on Throaty Mermaid, I would like to apply with Chasik. He will be level 4, and is built to take a ton of punishment. He would ideally like to have another front liner to dish out the pain, as that he is not best in.
Info behind alias :)

![]() |

@Thunderspirit: I'm fine with it but you better claim your seat fast. Fangwood Keep already filled up.
@Chasik: Same for you. Hurry and claim your seat in the recruitment thread before it fills.

![]() |

@Jake: see the respective recruitment threads. Both games are full but you can join the waitlist in case someone drops in the next month.

A smelly little goblin darts through the door and sticks a note to the wall with a steak knife.
"Rawble-rawble." He mumbles before turning and leaving.

![]() |

"It looks like the Society is having their Confirmation for the new recruits again! Oh, I can't wait to meet all those new Pathfinders!"
Just started a recruitment for The Confirmation, if you want to get your 0-chronicle characters into action!

![]() |

"Oh! Pathfinders! Have you heard the rumors flying around about the happenings in Opparo? Something's happening with Baron Jacquo Dalsine’s cousin. I need some agents to head down there and help smooth the situation over."
I'm running 02-21 The Dalsine Affair (1-7). I'll take the first 4-6 players interested. Fair warning that this is a tough one. I played with seven people and we still had two deaths. It's one of the most notoriously difficult scenarios, but it is a lot of fun. Head on over if you're interested.

![]() |

Trotter, is this going to be a gameday event, or just a regular session? If it's going to be low, Rilamon would be up for it. (Although, if it's a diplomacy-centered scenario, he may not be overly useful in it.)

![]() |

Snouts oinks quickly at the halfling Captain,
Dalsine Affair is a special kind of difficult and not in the normal way, either. Plus then there's that whole affair near the end they still have to address, even after the singular tease in S3 they never followed up on...

John Compton has been very good about tying up loose ends and making references back to old scenarios. I'm sure it'll come up again.

![]() |

We'll not *discuss* that particular affair, thankyouverymuch.
JMSO, the story in Dalsine is terrific — certainly the best of Season 2.
But yes, the combat vs. [REDACTED] can be rough; we lost our rogue in one shot and almost another immediately after.

![]() |

"I've got two agents ready to head out for Oppara but I'd really like for the company to be bigger! Would anyone else like to join them?"
I've got Tevaga and Rilamon down for Dalsine Affair. They'd like to go low-tier. Tevaga and Rilamon can head over to the Discussion and Gameplay threads (campaign is linked above). Anyone else interested can head there as well. I'll open a public recruitment soon if no one else bites today.

![]() |

"I suppose I could be convinced to head to Oh-pah-rah. I have been resting too long and there are too many creatures out there that must feel the edge of Gorum's blade. I shall report to the Venture Captain."
With that, the half-orc, who had quietly been sitting in a corner staring at nothing, gets up and leaves to gather his belongings.

![]() |

"What, ho! Trouble in Oppara? Perhaps you need a touch of sophisticated help, there, eh?"
I've got a lower-level alchemist here who might be an asset! I don't think I have his proper stats up on the profile yet, but I can fill them in tonight (hopefully before any dice-rolling starts).

![]() |

Ok, I'm ready to go with you four if you're ready. I can try to round up two more if you want.

![]() |

If you hurry, yes! Jump on over there to the link above. We've started but haven't gotten beyond the opening scene.

I have either an Elven Bard (Archaeologist) or a Half-Elven Rogue (aiming at Pathfinder Chronicler) With some Diplomacy skill available to add, if the group would like?
But I have to admit, I wasn't trying to find THEM a game when I came to this thread!

![]() |

Sorry, we've already moved past the first act and they are well on their way already.

Osric returns to the Lodge, fresh off the boat from Magnimar. He hangs his cloak on the wall and sets his bow by a free chair. Then he kicks up his feet and reads his latest missives from the Society.
Seems I'm needed in Cheliax, followed by an assignment to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. But the expeditions have been postponed. Might as well see if any work turns up here.
Our local PFS mini-con got postponed for three weeks, meaning Osric could well be idle until May 10th. I was going to use him in the game day, just with a delayed start. Now many groups won't be able to finish in time for him to play on the revised date. So if you're thinking of running another high-tier game starting this week, I'd be game. I can usually count on this group to finish in under 6 weeks. He will be 8th level after earning a GM credit (or playing) tonite!

![]() |

"Eh hem!" Trotter clears his throat to catch the attention of the room. "Pathfinders! I have several agents who recently thwarted the derro threat right here in Cassomir and are now shipping off to Almas in Andoran to look into a hobgoblin threat on the Lodge in that city. They'd like some backup on this one if anyone is available."
I'm running 02-23 and 02-24 Shadow's Last Stand Parts I and II. They are 1-7 but I already have three definite players and one maybe, all of them in the 6-7 range. I'd like another 2-3 players to join them, preferably at the higher end of the spectrum. Head on over to the Gameplay and Discussion if you are interested.
---
Also, I'm thinking of starting another high-tier game soon. Make sure the spreadsheet is up-to-date on your availability and I'll look over it soon to choose a new game.

Signboy77 |

I've played part two, but not part one. but I don't have a character available in the upper tier at the moment anyway.
