And there is no need to apologize for Mazia and Zanthos. I am accustomed to dealing with the sort of mischief youngsters delight in."

What makes me giggle is the fact that what Ryleh considers a "youngster" could be a creature nearly a millenium old.

Ryleh is herself only nearly a millennium old! It was one of the fun things about her friendship with Sheess, because he was over a thousand years old and was basically treating her like a youngster! Eleadora and Aidan (the leaders of the firebird elders) are actually a little bit older than Ryleh is. Not that she know that. :)

Havel smiles a bit.
"That does sound pleasent. I used your family name for a reason, and that simply being- I know you exist. I'll be honest, I didn't even know what color of dragon you were- and I kept this delibratly obscured. I kept basucally everything open ended and as vague as possible, keeping the idea something they could project themseves unto so they could become whatever sort of dragon they desired. And for that, I do apologize. but something we found is that, without dragon blood, worship was more or less the only way to make this work."
he pauses, a moment.
"Normally, a shaman has to attempt to be like a spesific dragon, one they've met and revere. I cercumvented this by creating something rather nebulous and vauge, and attaching it to a name of a group of dragons. Had I known any others, that woudl've worked just as well. And while i do, again, apologize for making you and your family the object of high expectations, I don't exactly regret it for the results. I have worshippers in all sorts of colors and diversities. But... I did have to stop openly seeking those who may have wanted to join. The artifact elegy and I ended up cobbling together to help people with the progress... It did something weird, one day- it just made somone into a drake. He's... Not had a problem with this, and I see that as remarkably lucky, but I'm not willing to openly seek people, not if it's so flawed."
Havel sighs, and his flesh returns to it's normal prismatic colors.
"We also... Had to be rather quiet about our existance at first. I had angered the hunters greatly. I, with elegy's help, stole an artifact from them. This artifact, to some degree, seems to have merged into my flesh over time, changing the type of dragon I'm becoming. My breath can apply a plethora of effects, and shines in all colors of the rainbow, and my flesh can switch between the colors of a prismatic wall. There seems to be a lot more to the armor, as it's able to make the closest deciples fully into drsgons for a time, though it does lose it's magical properties for a while."
he doesn't stop talking for much longer then to simply take a breath.
"... And, when I did steal this from the hunters, it was less a stealthy affair, and more... Blantently ripping it away from them. It was going rather well, but... One of them had a sword unlike anything I had ever seen. It burned to the touch and cut deep as if my armor didn't even exist. Wherever it hit, it felt like posion."
Havel gestures to his stiff leg.
"A bit of it got lodged in my leg. We got it out a day later, but my leg is... Kinda ruined. And I can't move anything very quickly anymore. We've tried to purge it... Countless times, to no effect."
he pauses, an realizes he's been talking on and on, without giving Ryleh much time to speak.
"My apologies, I should give you time to talk."

Ryleh sighed. "Where to start? First of all, while I would never get in the way of your choice to become what you like, I must tell you, I don't approve. What you've done to yourself and the ones closest to you, who I imagine also went into this with their eyes open...fine. You have the right to be what you wish. But I feel that you have done a great disservice to your larger following. People who wish to change themselves in that way....it is more often due to a lack of confidence. They don't realize that they already have the things they are seeking. Dragons, of any color or type, are not a higher form of life. All sentient beings are equal. I will not interfere with your actions, but I could not in good conscience fail to make my feelings on the subject known to you."

"As for the rest of it, the Hunters are not what they once were. The few remnants that are left...well, I am not a child killer and that's all I have to say about that. But without parents or proper training...I am told that there was a great deal of attrition. And even more when the Shadowspeaker Clan remnant was dominated and began attacking their fellow Hunters. What few are left after the predations of the last fifty so years would be easier to overcome, certainly. But that armor....it was not theirs. They stole it. I remember seeing it once, as a child. It was some sort of religious regalia, but I don't know to what god it was dedicated. Seriflathenon kept it as a memento of an ally who had been lost. She did not speak of it more than that. The sword you speak of is interesting. It sounds to me like you might have run into a member of the Deathsting clan. They were never the most numerous to begin with, so it's surprising to hear of one now, but perhaps that was the very reason they survived. They might have escaped the Shadowspeakers' notice. But that is all a matter of academic interest, I suppose. You should consult the healers in the infirmary. They may be able to help with your affliction. It is worth considering at least. Unless you enjoy being subject to these physical limitations."

Havel shakes his head a bit.
"I got this wound from fighting... How many years ago, was it now... Hm. Anyway, as for why my followers do what they do... I memorize that. I make sure that I know why each and every person that comes does what they do. And I do my best to help them with their problems. And I did shut down any and all open recruitment the moment I noticed the method I used was slightly unstable."
Havel sighs.
"But, I know that we Probobly won't see eye to eye on what I do. And I suppose that's fine. You can't expect everyone to understand you, all you can really do is try, right? But, I do try and present the process as a form of strength. Not of perfection, but strength. For most, it's no doubt a way to get stronger, magically, and psycically. And while I have gotten a decent few who came to me with a lack of confidence, I tried to make sure I worked on that, as well. I didn't just assume that changing form would solve all their problems. That's not how it works."
he shivers.
"I deal with mazia. I know full well, that is not now it works. Mazia... He came to me because he wanted to be stronger. At first, I thought he was... Feeling unstable due to his size. No. No, he's... He's for lack of a better word, a power hungry lunatic. And for all my effort, the thing that ended up improving him, was Medli. She started dating him, and he's improved derastically."
he looks up at Ryleh, looking her in the eye.
"Regardless, you can expect me to take you up on your offer. I'm... Not as equipped to do this as I thought I was when I started. It was fine when I had ten, twenty, thirty, forty... But I've got a few hundred followers now. I can't manage to keep up with all of them at once, but I feel I have to try. I barely sleep, haven't had time to relax in years, and I haven't even had much time to progress my own meditations. Elegy has to often force me to take a break once my head starts pounding. She says it's due to stress. I don't know how stress could cause a headache, but I'm not one to disbelieve those close to me just because I don't get it. But I can't de-stress, because I'm too busy, so I get more headaches, and then I get irritable, and..."

"I agree, this could backfire. The trick is weaponizing the appropriate amount of truth to discredit them. Too little, and you're put on the defensive, too much, and it can destroy people like this to levels you never intended it to reach." he ponders this for a bit...then shakes his head.

"Problem here is that we've given them a lot to play with. Tyrrin brings a group of 'humans' as guests, and Ehos brings his Lycan girlfriend home to this festival, none of which are wrong in any way, mind you. This is compounded if the overall view of Avalon is poor here. They probably view these things as a target rich environment to exploit. There could also be other political problems or shifts going on here that are unrelated to them. Perhaps a better tactic would be to remain cool-headed and make them really work for whatever they will try to spin."

Ryleh gives him a look. "Years? Well, unless you obtained that armor when you were a veritable toddler, then it was after the Hunters were at...less than full strength. Somehow I doubt you've had it for more than oh....54 years. And you faced an adult so that means it can't have been more than ....44 years seems fair. Given your age, I doubt it's been more than ten years at an absolute maximum. Though it is possible if it was more than five years ago that the ones you met then later met their ends at the hands of the Shadowspeaker clan. And it is no wonder you have stress headaches. You must have been very busy indeed if you have been able to build such a large church in such a short time as it has been less than a year since my grandchildren decided to go public. Though I suppose you might have begun it some time earlier and only attached our family's name later on. It wouldn't be the first time that someone built a church to worship 'monsters'. A bit of an odd concept here as many of the students would be considered monsters in other settings, but here it has become so commonplace that they are viewed as totally normal."

She took another sip of tea. "I assure you that we are well equipped to deal with any sort of mental health conditions. Mazia will not be too much to handle." She looked sad again, but quickly deflected the subject. "We will be happy to enroll any and all of you here at the school, although there is an age cut-off. There is a university in the works, but it is not yet ready to accept students. Adult followers might be encouraged to find work in Kuros. I cannot help but feel that daily exposure to James must be enough to cure anyone of worshipping dragons," she added dryly. "And it would be easy for you to look in on them on the weekends if they are there. And you in particular...when you enroll, I expect you to sign up for Advanced History of Agartha as one of your classes. I insist."

Male Sapphire Dragon

there's a loud sound of things plates and various silverware falling to the ground, as a kid gets smacked by a rather large wing.
"Sorrysorrysorry!"
the dragon rapidly aplogizes, stumbling back and knocking over a table. I'm adding an extra containment field around the inside of the tank so you won't have a repeat of the same problem. It's easier to explain it once it's all done since this is really complex. And I'll have to show you how to turn it off as well since once it's operational, you'll need to switch it off any time you need to do maintenance on the tank. This part is really just a lot of electrical work. If it breaks, you probably won't be able to fix it yourself. That's why I said it would make the tank harder to repair. But you can ask me for help if you ever need it, and given time you can probably learn how to fix it yourself, too," he said, looking up from where he was threading wire through the grid.

Leaving something unpleasant on your chair, 'accidentally' spilling something on someone in an embarrassing way, that sort of thing. Very petty and nearly impossible to actually prove malice. At least in this setting. They'd last about five minutes at Avalon before a teacher got hold of them. It's mostly of concern because in this situation an incident that might be laughed off elsewhere could be used as an excuse for someone to take offense and cause trouble. Jeran nods "Yes, absolutely. Always test to make sure things are working. The last thing you want is to find out they're not when you're in the middle of something important."

He starts turning things on to make sure that things are working, then turns them off again because there's a problem with the forcefield. He stops and adjusts some of the wiring and starts turning things on again. This time everything seems to be in order. "Heh. Case in point. That would have been inconvenient later on. Okay so here are the switches you need in order to turn the forcefield on and off. Just make sure it's off before you try to make repairs or you'll end up in the infirmary."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I must have explained it badly. No, there's only one magic building, and yes it's definitely sentient. It started out as a small cottage that's been in Uncle Ryo's family for ages. And it expanded as necessary to accommodate extra family. It likes to keep the core part of the house the same though. Almost like a control room really. No, the school is just an extension of the house. Ryo wanted to open a school so it sort of grew one. And it keeps expanding as necessary. Only family and people we bring in as guests are allowed to go into the house part. I think if it wanted to hide it could actually go back to looking like a cottage on the outside, but everything in the school would still be on the inside. But that would freak people out, so it lets the school part look somewhat close to as big as it is, sort of. It's a very unique sort of building," she said leading the way down a corridor that hadn't been there before to a door that sort of appeared in the wall as they got closer to it."Come on in," she said, gesturing for him to follow. Inside the door was a pretty normal looking house. There was a large sunny kitchen, a cozy living room filled with beat-up furniture, and a stairway leading up. "My room is upstairs. Grandma's lair is the basement. She's often in the kitchen there unless she's working with students."

She led the way upstairs, still talking. "You make a good point about stuff, and it's my fault actually that Ephebe got most of my stuff. I basically stuck her here to take my place. In my defense I was dead, and had been through a lot of trauma, and it was totally messing with my sense of perspective. It never occurred to me that it doesn't work like that or that I would end up coming back. But that doesn't mean it isn't hard sometimes. Here's my room," she said, heading for the third door on the left. The room was a small bedroom. There was a twin bed with a colorful patchwork quilt on it, a mostly empty bookcase with one small holographic display on it that was cycling through images, a large wardrobe that was hanging open with not many clothes hanging inside, and a desk that was cluttered with various knickknacks in varying states of broken. There was one large window on the opposite side of the wall with ruffled white curtains tied back to each side of it, and a faded rug in a floral pattern on the floor. There wasn't a lot here that seemed to fit with Andromeda's personality.

Status is something that is earned over time, through expertise and hard work. I understand that it is not fair to judge the younger generations by these same rules as you have no time to catch up and deserve to have a say in deciding the future of our people. But it is certainly something to consider," Eleadora said stiffly.

There are some classes held inside the SIM rooms, specifically PE, but most of the time they are used for practice or entertainment. This way, please," she said, indicating the closest open room. "Ah, Professor Zix," she said with a nod as she saw him waiting outside the door. "Thank you for joining us. As you can see, Marcell was having some difficulties in the cafeteria. This form does not lend itself well to crowded spaces. I was going to get him inside a SIM so he can have some proper space to practice moving, not to mention enough space to properly demonstrate how to move in dragon form. Not that there is much time to learn. I believe he changes every day?"

Should anyone be interested a play-by-post possibility for those really wacky characters that you might not get a chance to play in the normal run of things.
It's a rules super light game based in the same world as Realms of Agartha (Here is the original Agartha thread for anyone who is interested. Not required reading, kinda different setting, but can give you a good feel for how rules light plays.), though it's not necessary to have read or even be remotely familiar with that thread. I'll gladly fill you in on the basics. Basically the action would be taking place in a school for magical youngsters. Think a mashup of Hogwarts and the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Existing characters include weredragon triplets and a good-aligned demon. Power level starts in the mid to upper teens. This is really the beauty of rules almost free, it actually supports that without making you want to tear out hair trying to keep track of all the details. Cause sometimes its fun to play superheroes. :)
We do use dice rolls, but sparingly, and if you have a concept that isn't easily supported by existing rules we can help you cobble together something that works since really all you need is a basic idea that lets you know what to roll for attacks, saves, damage, etc. The focus is more on the shared storytelling aspect of the game.

Power level is mid to high teens. Loosely Pathfinder/3.5 based. The current thread has been going for a couple of months, but we've had a few players drop out, so need to fill a few slots.

In game it's about two weeks into the term, so you can choose to be a late transfer or easily say that you've been there all along and just hadn't interacted with the main story before.

Shadow Lodge

I don't have much to say, but this is an enjoyable game because everyone playing will get a chance to "DM" a story arc.

The awesome janitors and epic battles don't hurt neither. Oh, and we have a minotaur named Buttercup.

I'll echo my Board-mates here. I'm usually not as fond of rules-light, but this has worked very well for everyone in it.

As always, just my humble 2cp... :)

Could someone explain rules-light?

Stiehl9s wrote:

It is loosely based on Pathfinder rules yes.

Rules light means don't sweat the numbers. Rule of cool wins over RAW every time. :)
All you need to know is your attack bonus, AC, saves, and maybe a few key skills, but really there's a lot of handwaving and it's okay to improvise. The focus of the game is on cooperative storytelling rather than crunch.
Feel free to take a look at the thread and read through a little bit of it if you want to see how it looks in play.

Let me give this a read. There is a good chance I will jump in. I like free form / no power play games.

There is a really good chance I will jump in if you will have me.

Yeah, go ahead and give it a read. Come up with a concept or two. We'd be happy to have you join us. :)

What do you want by way of a stat block or back story?

I think I will run with a human savant. Sorry but I really do not want to ready 3800 post so let’s just say he is late. If it will not work I can think more. The kid from Mercury Rising is about what I want to play.

As far as stat block goes, just have a basic concept of your ability scores (we use the handwaving point buy system), know your attack bonus, saves, AC, maybe a few key skills if you like. And watch your power level. Your concept sounds like it might be a bit weak as is. I don't want you to not have fun because you handicapped yourself too much.

You don't have to write me a book on backstory. Give me a synopsis and maybe a few key things that I can use to draw your character into the story. You can feel free to relate details (or not) as the story progresses.

Also:

Spoiler:
I'm not opposed to the concept, but as a personal favor I'm gonna have to ask you to tread lightly with this one. As the parent of an autistic child that is some emotionally charged territory for me. If done right, that is a concept that I can really respect and appreciate. Heck, that's one of the things I really love about the tv show Bones. It does an amazing job of showing an autistic person struggling to relate to the world around them without making it something to be pitied or being preachy. But if the character you have in mind is more of a caricature, I am not the person to do that around. Figured it was better to just be up-front and tell you that now.

To give you an idea of what she means by this, here is a list of current characters that I made just yesterday.

EDIT: I did not make all the characters yesterday, just the list. As you can see all of them are pretty crazy.
EDIT 2: Not all of these characters are mine, and those that are aren't always active.

1. Krays(a gestalted Sorcerer/Oracle of Death. Is Death's "minion")
2. Ruji(actual strength unknown, has the illusionary of a half-fiendish dire tiger)
3. Vakkler(a crazed kobold who uses crossbows, siege weaponry, and oozes)
4. Aananada Sunwake(a were-dragon, capable martial artist, and more)
5. The Sunwake Trio(all were-dragons. One's a time-traveling agent for Krons, one is a reality warper prone to pranks, and the other is so emotionally unstable that his feelings amplify his psychic abilities)
6. Headmaster Ryo(A High Seer, one of the strongest magical/psychic people in Agartha, and a Cardcaster)
7. Lysander Sandwalker(A Hunter that doesn't seem to care about Ephebe as long as she and the rest of her family stays away from his cousins)
8. Tamrin Sunwake(Arcane Gunslinger extraordinaire, ex-leader of a resistance group that is trying to over a Universal Empirerun by Dragons)
9. Feiri(a firebird that used to live in the sun. Also an evoker.)
10. Fei(monk from another realm, turns kinetic energy into a deadly weapon which he has no control over)
11. Kamenwati(a half-fiend that has training as an assassin, a stormborn sorcerer, and part of a popular band)
12. Ryo's Children(A color mage and his younger siblings, which are fraternal twins that seems to be able to find anything no matter how well it's hidden. Protected fiercely by Ryo and Lysander)
13. Keaton Bloodfang(a vampire that no longer drinks blood)
14. Meantioned but not seen yet: Adsila(a plant mage, possible the strongest in Agartha), Ormarr(a half-orc with more than his share of snake-based magic)

Yes, this is definitely the place to try out those crazy character concepts that wouldn't work anywhere else. :)
There are a few more characters that aren't on that list, but they are the ones who are on hiatus or are only posting occasionally.

Two gargoyles sat at the bar, talking as they attempted to drown their sorrows in copious amounts of ale.

"Disgraceful, that's what it is, Bert," the first gargoyle opined mournfully.

"Got that right, 'Arry," said the second one. "Time was folks was honored to get an invite to be attending the Avalon Academy. Ask a body in they would, maybe even give ye a bite to eat or suchlike while they asked all their bloody questions."

"Yer, and now ye ain't barely able t' get the words out afore they slam the door in yer face. If I ever get my hands on the fellows what's been spreading these rumors about it being dangerous there, well..."

Just tell me if you think this will work or if you want me to change anything.

Char Info:

True Name: Unknown
Given Name: Tom
Class: Technically Summoner
Race: Assumedly Human
Alignment: Neutral
Age: ??
Height: 4’4’’
Weight: 77lb

Description:
Tom looks like a basic young boy. He has common slacks and a light blue tunic. He has vivid green eyes and a wide happy smile on his face. He has no shoes but his feet seem to look rugged.

Personality:
Tom is extremely inquisitive, but also seemingly lost. Since the point in time when he was first spotted he has not said a single word to anyone. He does seem to speak, but the word are not in any known language, nor consistent. He really does not pay all that much attention to his surroundings, which really causes issues due to the fact he reacts somewhat aggressive to fear.

Tom has an innate ability to create small living creatures seemingly at will. This ability most includes very small things like butterflies, spiders, or other bugs. Aside from the bugs he also seems to really like colorful fish and flowers.

He really does not have any desire to follow the standard structure of society. Due to the fact he can substance himself with food, water, and shelter the traditional structure of society is irrelevant. If given simply motivation he will follow others due to his inquisitive tendencies. Interesting creatures, people, or things tend to make him happy.

Back-story:

Tom was found walking down the middle of the road about 6 months ago. Before that time he had never been seen.
A few different vastly intelligent creatures have spent some time attempting to understand what Tom really is, but no one is really sure. The current competing options range from sentient life force, to lost construct. Everyone has concluded he looks like a young boy, but he most certainly is not one.

The power that be decided to send Tom to the Avalon Academy

Well I find this interesting I would need levels at least, I dont like being all powerful or having a slanted advantage. Kinda takes away from the point to me. Characters need a goal/purpose and gaining levels, money, inflence, etc etc is the means and so the adventure. I like being able to play pretty much anything but if their is nothing at the end or even the illusion of an end then just does not seem fun. How can characters evolve or even grow with out the real threat of failure at least if not death.

But then again I may not know what I am talking about so if you can clear this up for me then please do.

Shadow Lodge

It is a school that helps you gain control of any abilities you may have, which means the goal is to gain enough control to graduate.

Seems like very few people have that lack of control though..

VonGonda wrote:

It sounds like a solid concept, but I have two concerns.

The first one I've already mentioned is power level. Now, I will say this, if you start and then discover that you're way too weak, you can always have your characters powers evolve as he gains more control over them, bringing in more powerful abilities.
The second is how is this kid going to relate to or even notice the other students? He doesn't have to be socially skilled, but I'd hate for the plot to always be passing him by. What are his points of interest? His obsession if you will. There's usually something.

There is threat of danger/failure/occasionally even death. But the goal/purpose is generally more story driven rather than levels, money, etc. Abilities can and do develop over time, and as DB3 said, that's the real purpose of the school. To help the students gain control of and develop their powers. I'd suggest maybe reading the first page or two of the thread to get a feel for how things play out. There are definitely rivalries, enemies to defeat, long-term goals and so on. And trust me, while the characters are powerful, there are plenty of things out there that are more powerful than they are.

ONE: He seems to weak.

He reacts somewhat aggressive to fear.

This would be the situation when he spontaneous summons everything in his power to stay safe. He can do more than just play with butterflies.

TWO: Get into the game

Interesting creatures, people, or things tend to make him happy.

I assume I will find something about the other players that will fall into this category. After I get him going, and get a better idea of the other players I will hook him into the plot.

What are his points of interest?
Life

He is more or less the embodied sprite of a forest.

VonGonda wrote:

Okay, cool, that gives me something to work with.

When you say that he is interested in life do you mean that he likes to observe other creatures' behavior? or more like biological processes? outward appearances? It sounds like he and EJ, the recently 'born' intelligent ooze, might have some interesting interaction should their paths ever cross. :)

When you say that he is interested in life do you mean that he likes to observe other creatures' behavior? or more like biological processes? outward appearances?

At this time he does not understand what he is, but he likes to create life, and down the road the stuff he calls forth will start lasting longer and longer until it is permanent.

In time he will understand what he is and more than likely start a new forest. When he starts a new forest he will no longer exist as a humanoid.

Here are a few questions of reflection?

What are the emotions of a tree when the morning sun comes over the horizon?

What is the first thing a seedling would say when it eclipses the crust of the earth?

Why does a duckling or other bird work so hard to free itself of the shell?

Does a spring rain drop speak with the plants as it falls to the earth?

Does a seed try to find the best soil?

Does my house plant get upset when I turn it away from the window?

Adsila is going to love you. :)

I assume that means I can join the game thread. I will keep any eye open to see the best time to join.

So would I be able to make a character with some interesting Templates?

I'll need to think about it, but Ive always got some interesting ideas for that or maybe just an interesting personality to play. Halfling wizard (maybe SUmmoner) with a napoleon complex comes to mind.

Edit: Halfling wizard with a napoleon complex who was cursed with a permanent reduce person effect. lol!

Also, I love that character idea. You don't want to know how many times I watched/read the Borrowers when I was a kid....in other words I think that character sounds like a ton of fun. :)

I GOT IT! Permanently reduced halfling with a Napoleon complex who is a master summoner. He can't kick your a$$, but he can summon something to do the job for him. LOL Maybe with a template or two.

Shadow Lodge

He can ride around on Ruji! XD

The "young" template will take him down a size category. Apply the "Advanced" template after that for the Napoleon Complex.

Both of you guys can head over to the discussion thread if you like to iron out details. As you can tell we get a bit quiet on the weekends, but now it's Monday and things are back in full swing. :)

I do not see the discussion thread. I see the game thread but that is all.

I think I will just jump into the garden that seems like a perfectly good location unless you have other plans of introduction.

Of course, being in the garden works perfectly. Taron did say he had found some more people to join in the fun.

Feel free to hop on over to the discussion thread to iron out details, ask questions, and figure out how you want to make your entrance if you would like to join the game. There's a link a couple of posts up. You'll need to give her a couple more levels, but don't see any other immediate problems. The anti-dragon sentiments in Agartha don't extend to the miniature variety.

Are there gods and goddesses in this world. I've an idea for a centaur cleric of Shelyn or her counterpart. :)

Yes there are. Any that you like. Thus far most of the gods that we've used are a bit more well, made up on the spot, to be honest, but that doesn't mean you can't worship a more established deity. It sounds like a good concept. Are you thinking you'd like to be a student or a teacher?

Please do not be intimidated by the wall of text near the end there. One of the other players has a cool but very complicated concept, and we're still working some of the bugs out. Sometimes when we have to just make up rules to fit a concept they don't work exactly right the first time and have to be adjusted a bit first.

Also, I'm going to be working on a quick primer of everything you need to know about Agartha this weekend, so hopefully that will make it easier for newbies to catch up and figure out what's going on.

Bloodline Arcana Whenever you cast a spell of the compulsion subschool, increase the spell's DC by +2.
Cantrips You learn a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.
Dragon Traits (Ex) Dragons have Immunity to magic sleep effects and paralysis effects. Dragons breathe, eat, and sleep.
Fey Bloodline The capricious nature of the fey runs in your family due to some intermingling of fey blood or magic. This tends to make you more emotional than most, prone to bouts of extreme joy and rage.
Fey Magic (Su) You may reroll any caster level check made to overcome spell resistance. You must decide to use this ability before the results are revealed. You must take the second result, even if it is worse. You can use this ability at will.
Fleeting Glance (Su) You can turn invisible for 15 rounds per day. This ability functions as greater invisibility. These rounds need not be consecutive.
Immunity to Magical Sleep (Ex) You are never subject to magic sleep effects.
Immunity to Paralysis (Ex) You can never be paralyzed.
Laughing Touch (Su) You can cause a creature to burst out laughing for 1 round as a melee touch attack. A laughing creature can only take a move action and can defend itself normally. Once a creature has been affected by laughing touch, it is immune to its effects for 1 day. You can use this ability 7 times a day.
Poison (Ex) Sting-injury; save Fort DC 14; frequency 1/minute for 10 minutes; effect sleep for 1 minute; cure 1 save.
Telepathy (Su) You can mentally communicate with any other creature within 60 feet that has a language. It is possible to address multiple creatures at once telepathically, although maintaining a telepathic conversation with more than one creature at a time is just as difficult as simultaneously speaking and listening to multiple people at the same time.
Woodland Stride (Ex) You can move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at your normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect you.
