The two birds strike at the worg. Montey barely misses the beast, while Tuney ends up completely misjudging the attack and has to spend some extra time gaining altitude and circling before he can strike again. The closest wolf-beast takes a hit from Warren and then returns the attack with a quick bite to his leg.
Out of the rain and mist a large war dog appears and charges at one of the beasts, its first strike lands as white teeth sink deep into the worg's shoulder before it has a chance to retaliate. Howling in rage the much bigger beast turns on the dog and rips into the creature with its powerful jaws. Blood erupts from the massive wound and the dog is tossed aside, unconscious and bleeding.

In camp, Mikhail continues to charge to the southwest, his horse quickly eating up the ground until it suddenly rears up in terror as a Worg pounces from its hidden position in a small grove of trees and shrubs. The beast misses it's initial strike, and Mikhail puts on an excellent display of horsemanship as he manages to stay in the saddle and bring the beast under control.
At the site of the Worg, both Donal and Fulton give a shout and charge to Mikhail's rescue. Burdo, hearing the others, turns and also charges with a look of grim determination on his face.

Sorry, somehow I missed the post where you asked me to place myself on the map. Thad had climbed up on one of the wagons with his bow, to get a good look at the road in both directions (N29). His horse is standing next to him, between W1 and W3 (WH).
Seeing a flash of motion through the undergrowth where Mikhail was ambushed, Thad scrambles forward to get a better view. At the sight of the beast Thad nocks an arrow and prays- "Deadeye guide my shot, let that damnfool boy live to learn from this!"

Warren is grateful when allies come to help him from beyond, but also is concerned for their safety and feels some responsibility for their safety. If they return bleeding and injured, do they die untended and unmourned? They will not be unmourned by me.
With anguish and pain in his eyes and tone Warren pleads, "Zavac can you heal the dog and me?"

Sorry, guys. I've been busy with IRL crap...thought I posted it earlier. Anyway, I'm back. If it's ok, DM, I shall use my third round action to heal up Warren as he's quite injured. If you'd prefer it, I can have it as my fourth round action and say I held my third. Kinda lost as to what's goin' on in regards to rounds.

Kams lands a devastating blow against the closest Worg as he steps into the fray. His sword catches the beast right in the throat causing a spray of blood that splatters all three allies. The creature falls to the ground gasping it's last few breaths as Warren and Monty finish the it off.
Seeing the first beast fall, Alaina adjusts her aim and sends two quick shafts into the second. Feeling the sharp sting of the arrows, and seeing it's second pack mate fall, the creature's instinct for survival kicks in.
Round Four

DM - Tareth |

The worg attacking camp growls in anger and frustration at having its ambush fail. The strike of an arrow from Thad sends it scurrying back into the brush, but not before it takes another try at the horse.
Mikhail's luck continues as the horse manages to dance out of the worg's attack, while Mikhail's wild swing actually connects and leaves a deep cut along the creature's flank.
Donal, Fulton, and Burdo all continue running towards the boy and retreating worg.

Erastil let us finish these evil beasts

Warren Kingeagle |

"This evil beast must not hunt again."

DM - Tareth |

Kams catches the worg before it has a chance to flee, running the creature through with his blade. At the same time, Warren steps forward and sends a bolt towards the beast but the weapon malfunctions as it fires and after an ugly, wobbly flight the bolts ends up several feet to the right. Despite the miss, the worg continues to struggle for a few seconds, but then falls to the ground unconscious and dying.

Tityanna Medvyed |

Tityanna moves to L26 and drops her Sleep spell where it will effect the Worg but not the settlers. The DC to resist Tityanna's Sleep is 17.
She will also cast Message and designates Donal as the recipient.
Tityanna moves forward and the winds, leaves and blades of grass seem to sharpen and dance about her as she speaks in an otherworldly language, summoning her magics in a rush of heat and color. She seems to calm after a moment and reaches out to the brave men who rushed forward and her lips continue moving, but no a word can be heard from her lips.
"Remember, these creatures are known for organizing ambushes."

Kams Redcloak |

Kams notes Warren's work on the first worg while taking a quick view of the area, intent on the tracks around this ambush point.
Some of us should continue and finish this, the others might head back, to alert the others that at least one beast is on the loose.

Fulton calls out to Mikhail, "Boy! You stop right there!" The stern command from his usually quiet and mild-mannered father actually keeps the young man from riding after the retreating beast.
Catching up to the boy Donal stops for a second as he hears Tityanna's whispered warning. Grabbing the farmers shoulder, he tries to pass along her words, but before he can, another worg, waiting in ambush bursts forth. The creature proves the wisdom of Tityanna's warning as it leaps from the trees and lands a devastating blow on Mikhail's horse shredding the creatures side. Rearing up in pain and fear, the horse throws Mikhail from the saddle before letting forth a terrified whiny and trying to escape back towards camp.
While Fulton is caught by surprise, Tityanna's warning allows Donal to react quickly as he steps up and swings at the beast with his heavy hammer. Landing a solid blow he shouts to Fulton, "Get the boy out of here! I'll hold it off as long as I can."
Round 3
Updated Camp Encounter Map

DM - Tareth |

Kams Redcloak |

Agreed, Master Kingeagle, let's finish this. Sounds suggest our victim may yet linger in the here and now.
Kams rushes quickly towards the trees, tucking his dagger back into his belt sheath as he does so. At the tree line he will slow, taking a moment to examine the area for better tracks, perhaps sheltered by the boughs and not yet washed from the rains.
Ali, shall we find 'em alive, or am I letting my imagination run off with me, again...

DM - Tareth |

While the others examine the area for tracks, Zavac steps over to Warren and attempts another heal. After a few seconds concentration Sarenrae's flames swirl and curl around the druid's wounds sealing and purifying the damage from the worg's bite.
He then follows as Kams dashes forward to the grove of trees.
(Acting for Zavac to keep things moving) Zavac - Channel Energy 1d6 ⇒ 5

DM - Tareth |

As you approach the grove, you notice the smell of wet fur tinged with the iron scent of blood mixing in with the pine and fir. Combined with the darkness created by the thick growth of the trees, the dripping rain, and the recent skirmish it creates a dark and foreboding sense of more danger to come.
Please place or let me know where you are on the Encounter Map

Warren Kingeagle |

Warren heads to the trees with Kams and encourages Zavac along. Montey and Tuney take overwatch positions up high when Warren points to the trees and gives the command whistle to 'look'. Tuney lives up to his name and complies as he has a good grasp of the pitches of Warren's distinctive whistle.
"Aliana, as fast as you shoot, we may need to buy arrows buy the gross to get the best prices."

Aliana Do'Erren |

Aliana laughs softly. "That is why I brought four quivers full, Master Kingeagle!" She sobers quickly though, mouth twisting in a grimace. "In truth you are right. I had not thought I would use so many so soon on this journey."
So saying, she follows Warren into the trees, keeping a few paces behind so as to leave as clear a shot as she can amid the underbrush.
I assume that puts us somewhere up near Kams, say Aliana at around AH.20?

DM - Tareth |

The underbrush is tangled and dense where Kams enters the grove. The trees grow thickly with their branches providing a thick canopy which blocks out much of the rain and nearly all of the light. The ground is covered with a thick layer of needles making each step feel as if you were walking on a soft sponge.
The thorny bushes pull and snag at Kams' clothes as he tries to move deeper into the grove. Although passable, it is neither easy or quiet.

Warren Kingeagle |

Warren quickly realizes that the eagles can't see into the thick trees and whistles for them to accompany him into the grove. Montey lands on his left arm and Tuney on his shoulder.
Warren smiles at Aliana, "Both of us are at a little disadvantage here--you are used to keeping a good distance and I am used to having my friends know where everything is. Neither will happen in here."
Warren has Kams back.

Kams Redcloak |

Kams will continue moving in the best direction towards the sound of the "victim." He will take a move action each round to move, then hold an attack action should something attack from the dense foliage.
DM, please move Kams as best possible to account for 30' of movement, less the penalty due to ground cover, in the direction of the sound.
Calling out, since stealth is not an option, Erastil sends help, do you call for his aid?

Tityanna Medvyed |

Tityanna bites back a curse as her spell fails to take root in the creature's mind. Seeing that Donal is hopelessly outnumbered, and Thad is hurrying to close, she embraces her power to try to influence the nightmares a second time.
Move: Tityanna will move to N21
Standard: Tityanna will begin casting Sleep.
"Trying to influence the creatures again. If they fall prone, kill them immediately."

Thad Tanner |

Thad carefully advanced his mount past the trees as he rode up to Donal. The animal was battle trained, but it wouldn't do for the horse misstep on one of the gnarled roots and break a leg. Along with Donal, he harries at the worg to give Fulton and Mikhail time to make their escape.

Instead it turns and bares it fangs at the paladin, "I've not tasted a knight's blood in a long time." It leaps at Thad and the strong jaws and teeth manage to rip through his armor and deep into flesh.
Fulton uses the brief respite from the worg's attention to pull Mikhail out of immediate danger.
Seeing the elf take a hideous blow, Donal steps in with a roar and swings his hammer at the beast hitting it solidly in the side. However, the creature stays on it's feet, red eyes glowing, jaws open and muscles bunching for another attack.
