DM - Tareth
Tityanna: I'm pretty open and flexible, so whatever direction you'd like to go is okay by me. If you'd like to keep it somewhat Erastil 'themed' to start that will easily blend with the rest of the group's beliefs. Depending on how the story grows, we can throw in visions/themes from additional gods as seem fitting. I'll jump in with a least one dream vision, after you've posted your initial opening.
DM - Tareth
You're initial stealth rolls aren't great, but assuming you wait a few minutes, it will be a contest between the bandit's PER and your Stealth.
You could wait longer to see if they move away, but then things will depend on whether the others get worried and decide to follow.
A third option, which doesn't really fit your criteria, would be to try and take them both. Based on what you've heard and observed, there is a bit of separation between the two. Probably no line of sight. But it could be tricky especially if one of them escapes back to the camp.
Kams Redcloak
Kams thought about using the bow, and making a suprise attack, but doubted he could slay both men quickly and quietly before they could raise the alarm. Plus, he am uncertain how far from their camp they really are.
As is, he will, if possible, quietly draw sword and dagger, and stay hunkered down to see if they move off. If not, after a minute or so, he will begin to, as quietly as possible, move back down the trail towards the others. The entire time he will stay as hyper vigilant as he's capable of any possibility the men might spot him. At that, he will move to take them out, if possible, before the spotter notifies his associate of his find.
Kams Redcloak
Yes, sorry. Kams will wait until closer before making his announcement. Google is rejecting my access, or my PC rather is rejecting google cookies as viral infections, so I can't see the map currently.
I've been too slammed at work, being a network tech assisting the storm ravaged get back on "Facespace and Mybook" that I haven't bothered to fix my laptop yet. Nearly 12 hours a day 7 days a week, but hey I guess the money is good, if I'm ever rested enough to enjoy it.
If either DM Tareth or Warren would be so kind, please move Kams to an appropriate space. Kams has been relatively forward, so moving quickly yet cautiously towards the nearest man seems likely.
Imon Talis
Hey all, sorry I haven't posted here yet. I forgot that this wasn't a new game, I've been waiting for a PM saying that the thread has been created. . .
Anyway, I'll be the cowboy cop of the group, with my perform skill being oratory. That's right, folks, whenever I'm making you better at doing your job, it'll be because I'm lecturing you on how to do it.
Thad Tanner
My life has become rather busy at the moment, I'm traveling for the next week for my son's surgery. I'm not sure if this will leave me with more time for posting or less, but it's why I've been a bit slow to post lately. Thad's been hanging back and keeping watch on the bandit we've already captured, so barring extraordinary circumstances he may not have much left to do in this fight anyway...
Warren Kingeagle
I know, this is may be the the third Kingmaker to stall on me. And, DM-Tareth, this one has been amazing. The improvisation over some of the original story has been incredible.
I know there are players in my other kingmaker that would love if you bring them over.
I already moved my zen archer over to another game as I had that feeling it was in trouble. If you post in the discussion thread of the campaign I linked, you can easily get some players to come over.
We had a shadow mage, a fighter, and I think a bard that were stranded. Anyway, if this is a game lacking players, and the other has players but no DM, maybe you bring them over.
DM - Tareth
Warren, that sounds like a good idea. Even if Thad, Tityanna, and Imon return we'll likely need some additional players as things move forward.
I'm just getting ready to leave town for a week for work and a little time off. The internet out there is a little less reliable so I may not be able to post often. Because of that, I'll likely wait until I'm back home before inviting new players.
However, if you'd like to point the game out to them please feel free to do so. If they're interested they can post in the discussion thread or PM me.
Warren Kingeagle
Sounds good. I missed the updates too, so the boards do act squirrely sometimes. I PMed some when I checked and found this thread wasn't updating for me.
This is an excellent game, I would hate to see it die the lingering death of the majority of games on the PbP forums.
I'll link the thread for the DM-Kudos refugees.
Stellan Volkov
I'm from the campaign that was halted that Warren pointed out to you. I'm interested in joining this outstanding one, I was lurking a bit till I didn't want to be spoilered but there is so much different, it likely did not matter.
Please, let me know what changes you want, and ask any questions you have.
Anwel Lossio
Greetings. Like Stellan and Andrei, I hail from the game Kudos has been running - I'm the shadowcaster. I was wondering, if you do decide to take one or more of us in, whether our characters will have lived through what they lived through in Kudos' game. That is, have they met Oleg, Svetlana, Kesten and his guards, and sojourned through the Stolen Lands together? Will they be returning from such a sojourn in time to meet the current party? Or are they newly-arrived from Restov, alone among strangers in a strange new land?
Also, that is a lot of NPCs. It seems that, should I be accepted, I'll have my work cut out for me getting them all into my gallery. That's okay, I like a project.

Well, lets get close to the full set from the DM Kudos' game .. Gorax is the tee-total fighter ... It's been fun in DM Kudos' game and would be great if we could all keep together, but its up to you to decide what you want to take on. Obviously I'd like to continue in a kingmaker campaign as this would be the 3rd that Gorax would have played in if he's chosen.
Anwel Lossio
Well, you're welcome, though we really ought to be thanking you for opening your game to drifters and vagabonds like us. So on behalf of whoever you decide to include, thank you, and have fun with whatever it is that's keeping you on the road and away from the Internet.
@ all: I know it's a bit forward to ask a favor now, but I've looked through the PCs' profiles and skimmed the gameplay thread (not reading too closely to avoid learning things before I should) and I'm having trouble visualizing the characters. Would it be possible to get some indication of how you all look? A physical description would be helpful in establishing Anwel's first impressions of the other PCs should Tareth choose me, and the other Kudosites will tell you that I like drawing the PCs as well as NPCs we meet.
Lest you think I'm being a hypocrite, asking you to share and not doing so myself, Anwel's profile has a description of how he looks in it.
DM - Tareth
All,
I'm back in town and trying to get caught up today. I going through your character backgrounds and looking to get a sense of what had happened in DM Kudos campaign and how I can integrate it into the current storyline.
To try and answer Anwel's earlier question about story continuity, I'll likely say that the Kudos group arrived prior to our party and then set out exploring before the settlers arrived at Oleg's. Thus you'll still have met Oleg, Svetlana, and even Kesten. The other encounter with the undead creature and the boneyard will make for an interesting tale and possibly some follow up later on.
The only real inconsistency will be Happs and the other bandits from the first encounter who were 'rehabilitated.' I'm still thinking about this.
Finally, I'm checking with the current players to make sure who is active or not so I can decide if bringing everyone across is workable.
Thanks all.
DM - Tareth
Okay. Everyone from DM Kudos game who wants to join this one is welcome. Please post a quick confirmation in this thread if you're still interested and plan to join. This will make for a bit of a large group early on, but I think it will be fine. As the current encounter wraps up I'll look to bring the new players on board.
Anwel Lossio
wrt Vinur: I believe Stellan's and Kudos' plan was for Stellan to take feats over the course of the campaign so that Vinur could grow into a fully-fledged Winter Wolf as time passed.
As for me, I'm still here, still raring to go, and still thankful for the opportunity and for the way you handled my question. Here's another: just how large will the group be, assuming all the Kudosites (except Bimbur, who's already here as Warren) switch over?

Ready to rock and roll and swing ineffectually at big nasty baddies, really appreciate the opportunity.
Do you want to take our current characters as is?
Do you want us to level them up in line with your current players (level 2)?
Do you want us to use your character guidelines to rebuild their stats?
I copied this from the original recruitment thread:

or

DM - Tareth
Party size will be 8 or 9 to begin with.
As for stats, keep the characters as is for now. It looks like most of you should be fairly close to leveling up, so should be level 2 within a short time and the stat buy was the same.
All treasure the group has received up to this point is still available.
Stellan: The winter wolf familiar is fine. Keep the stats as a dog for now. However, fair warning, this group has already encountered an elder worg/winter wolf and she could take an interest in your companion in a little under a year. :)
Stellan Volkov
Thank you, Tareth. I'm not worried about the treasure I'm sure it'll work out over time.
Concerning Vinur, I have thought about his maturation rate. I'd come to the thought that he should grow as Stellan's power grew. If he grew up as fast as normal wolves do, and he's not a normal wolf, he would already be well past full growth. Of course, the rules are yours to judge, it just would be odd to have a horse sized wolf with the group right now.
The stats are as a fox, not dog, for now, he's smaller, a young cub or puppy as he has been for years.
