1) I am based in Southeast Asia (UTC +8) so my posting hours may be unusual (especially for those in North America). I usually update at least one or twice per day. Just to keep the game moving, please post at least once every day and at least once during the weekend.
2) Please keep all posts and communication in all channels limited to a PG-13 level and be both positive and inclusive.
3) Please label all three of your actions. Even if you think what you are doing is obvious.
4) If I am unavailable for longer than 24 hours, I will let you know in the Discussion Tab. Out of respect for your fellow players and myself, I ask that you do the same. Real life happens, and real life will always take priority over the game, but out of fairness for your fellow players, please let us know if you will be unavailable for an extended period of time.
5) Please note that on the following days, my posting can get unpredictable:
Tuesday/Thursdays - all day, as they are the 2 busiest days of my work week
6) Please complete the Macros and the Slides linked at the top of the page.
7) Questions, concerns? Feel free to share them in the Discussion tab.
8) Let's have some fun and tell a great story together! After all, that's what we are here for.

You arrive at the Merabian docks via the barge Powerful Hector, captained by one Eduard Tabrin, who waves as you descend the gangplank. Merab’s docks are busy, crowded with merchants, goods, and beasts of burden. Your instructions only say that someone will meet you at the docks.
As you step onto the dock, you recognize familiar faces and some new ones.
Go ahead and introduce yourselves/catch up
You're not left waiting as an imp soon flies up, hands over a written message, then disappears in a puff of smoke.
Darling Pathfinders,
I have some errands that I need you to run for me before you go off on your next assignment. Please find me in the Flowing Market, where I am in search of more reference materials. If you peruse the establishments that provide such materials, I am sure that you will be able to find me.
Your assistance is appreciated,
Chief Archivist Zarta Dralneen
Kargoth Stouthammer
|
A dwarf with a mug and a shield that looks like it came from a wooden beer barrel waves.
"Name's Kargoth. Priest of the brew and here to look for spirits of different kinds. Pleased to meet you all. I'll keep you healed and inspired!" he says.
Ramona Stonesplitter
|
"We meet again, Kargoth. Banjo has been pining to adventure with you," says a stout dwarven woman with a ridiculous puppet on her hand.
Mogok and the Thunder Priest
|
From the top half, Mogok is a beautiful Tien woman, dressed in a delicate sampot, but instead of legs, she slithers around on a long green snake's body. She is accompanied by a ghostly Tengu, who seems agitated, and seems to be constantly worried about something, but only speaks in a strange foreign tongue.
"Is there any mention of who will meet us here?" Mogok asks, "Oh, I am Mogok, this is my protector, the Thunder Priest. I came from Huaburi, and have only just finished my Confirmation not that long ago."
Delta Variant
|
A fox-like humanoid strolls toward the dock. As he does, a few spirits appear and drift around him, whispering things too soft to hear. He nods, like he was expecting them, and a missive appears in his hand. He reads it, lets out a breath, and gets ready to head to the Flowing Market. When he meets up with the others, he gives a small nod and introduces himself.
"Name’s Delta Variant. Glad to be part of this mission with you all."
"Sounds like we’re supposed to track down the Chief Archivist."
Savan Genieshot
|
A catfolk checks his rifles and re-slings it over his shoulder. He nods to Kargoth and Ramona. "Good to see you all again." His voice is a silky purr.
Glancing at the two newcomers, he takes a moment to notice them. "I'm Savan. Pleasure to have you with us. Zarta shouldn't be too hard to find, yeah?" He winks and one of his eyes shifts color to a fiery orange.
Sebasti Setrakian

Sebasti is an older man--older than your typical human who has not devoted his career to the study of eldritch forces--in well-worn leather armor. His clothes and accentuations are an eclectic collection of fabrics, patterns, and artistry from around the world. He walks with a grace that belies his age and does not bow overly much under the weight of his pack.
"Nice to work with you all," he says with an inviting smile. "My name's Sebasti."

Delta begins navigating the area, searching for the Flowing Market. He follows some people who are carrying flowers with them.
DC 13 Survival to Sense Direction: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Once he arrives at the Flowing Market, he finds it bustling with many people.
"I know you're there. I need your help." Delta whispers to no one. He then closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and calls upon a nearby spirit to guide him.
◆ Host Spirit – DC 11 Library Lore to RK: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Moments later, he opens his eyes that now looks distant, and begins pointing as if giving directions. He mutters softly, naming streets and turns as though in conversation. Eventually, he falls silent again and closes his eyes once more.
"Yes, yes. Meet me again later and you will have your request," he murmurs before opening his eyes again, having learned what he needed from the possessing spirit.
He follows the path revealed to him, only to find that the spirit has led him elsewhere.

There’s a basilisk game going on today between the Merab Vultures and their rivals, the Riddleport Rollers, and the fans are agitated.
You locate Zarta after a short stroll through the market, taking under an hour.
Nestled among the market stalls is a tea parlor and bookstore named Leaves and Bindings. A small cart holding several crates sits outside the shop. Zarta is sitting at a table with a dwarf, whom she introduces as Pallomar Gladhammer, a freelance correspondent for Golarion's Finest books and travelogues.
Zarta gestures at Pallomar. "Pallomar here is in a spot of bother, and he will be writing an article about his adventures with Pathfinders. Deliver him and the books back to the Powerful Hector safely and you will receive the normal remuneration. It's not exploring old ruins or something equally exciting, but even dry history books can be a gateway to experiencing new and wonderful things."
Zarta smiles and drinks another sip of tea. "Do you have any questions for me or Pallomar, or do you wish to get this simple errand over with?"

Palomar sighs. "I wrote a small article for Golarion’s Finest last year detailing my experiences in Merab. It seems that some of the local Merab Vultures fans objected to my article, saying that it brought bad luck to the team and made the Vultures lose the Avistan Basilisk League Championship. They still haven't forgiven me..."
Zarta smiles at the gathered Pathfinders. "Maybe if you can get them to the Powerful Hector unharmed I can let you see some of them. But they're really just mundane tomes that I found here."

"I wonder what you wrote in that article..."
GM Tiger

"It's just an article about basilisk and basilisk fans. We can discuss this further on the Powerful Hector if you like. And there's not enough time to buy a disguise..."

Any further questions go ahead and add it. I'll retcon the responses
You are provided with a cart already loaded with 4 crates of heavy books, stacked 2 deep. Pallomar gets up into the driver's seat and you begin your return to the ship.
As you start to leave the marketplace, enraged hermits surround the cart, chanting "Sezruth demands we destroy your cart." They prep oil and alchemist's fire to lob at the wagon. Pallomar snaps the reins and keeps driving, trying to escape the violence.

Sebasti tries to cut the Red cultist's belt but the hermit twists out of the way. Sebasti is also unable to poke the man with his sword.
Red again hurls a fire bomb at the cart.

Kargoth, I dropped a 10' burst template onto the map. Please show how you're going to get both of them without getting Delta as well :)
Otherwise, Delta will need to make a save as well :)

Yellow stops attacking for whatever reason. He immediately starts a conversation with Delta about the books...
You have Yellow for sure -- the burst isn't big enough to get Red as well, though
