It is a small wait but I will run a Confirmation table in 4-6 weeks time. I have a a few games on the go right now, but as they wrap up I'll get one going.

Really helps to get new characters an easy jumping on point.

I agree and it isn't too difficult to run a PbP table of a game you already ran since you can recycle a lot of the previous work.

Liberty's Edge

Have the extra Solstice Scar tables been gathered yet? I am signed up for one with this character but I want to make sure that she is still on for the game. :)

Lantern Lodge

Some have mustered, but not all. I'm also at a table that has yet to muster. IT is still a week off starting, so no worries.

Liberty's Edge

Yet another roll call for Solstice Scar! Will the following players check in.

JackieLane, Fiddlersgreen, Lucklesshero, Paledim

Check in to the Discussion thread here!

Also, I may have potentially 2 open spots for my tier 1-2 table. If you are possibly interested, add your name into the waiting list and we'll get to you! Please do not message me directly about the open spots and follow the protocol :)

Is it just me or has the posting of new games really slowed down? I don't think I have seen a new one in the 1-4 range in almost 2 weeks now.

2nd part of the Outpost convention is taking place. So most regular GMs are probably busy with that.

Ohh, I didn't realize there was a 2nd part of Outpost. My bad.

And I thought the second part was just to run Solstice Scar B again for the folks who couldn't make the first session.

That's *part* of the issue.

The other part is that with PaizoCon (among others) coming up at the end of the month, there's a concern about getting 'locked into'/being unable to give a game justice.

Is PaizoCon a real con or are there PbP elements as well? Sorry for the dumb question. I am from Germany and never have the opportunity to visit cons so I am not familiar with the format. :-)

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

It is a convention in 'meatspace' versus online.

I'm not at my computer, so more detailed response may be coming from someone else.

:)

Grand Lodge

It's a real con that take place during the last weekend of May. Quite a bit of news comes out of it, while testing the multitable specials occur.

A virtual PaizoCon PbP Gameday, running around same time of PaizoCon sounds like a great idea though. Don't think I will make a live PaizoCon in the near future because reasons so I would totally be on board for a PbP gameday to celebrate Paizo with the peeps who also cannot make it in meatspace.

PbP sort of just got done with a gameday, and syncing a PbP gameday with Paizocon sounds like a spectacularly bad idea. You'd have too many people not posting here when they are at the live convention.

My Solstice Scar B CORE 1-2 campaign is now open for check-in. I PM'd 5 of the 6 players, but I could not find user Bzl109 (PFS# 272384).

Check in here, please.

Given the number of us on here who are outside the US it isn't as big a problem as you'd think and we can all game on merrily, oblivious to PaizoCon (and Gencon), but there's enough Con goers in here that are spread through the groups and create an impact.

The main benefit of PbP was that we weren't all geo-locked, and yet for some reason we pause as though we are. Also, people can post at cons, its not like they block phones and tablets for the duration :)

That seems like a strange argument to make. If we were able to go on like nothing happened during Paizocon, there wouldn't be this blank time and no one would notice a problem. If there are a large number of out-of-US people, they're free to make games when they want regardless of whether there is a Paizocon slowdown.

You could even advertise a game as (running during Paizocon) so that people going to the con wouldn't join.

Is there a link to the 2nd session of Outpost? Are there still any games open that haven't started?

@EbonFist - According to the OutPost link pinned up at the top of the page (which can be easy to miss amid all the other links!) OutPost officially ends tomorrow, April 30th. There are a few games still finishing up and other games finished a bit early, but after tomorrow you should start seeing recruitment traffic for games in Flaxseed & Castamir Station start to rise again :)

The only thing that has a 'Session #2' is Solstice Scar B, which is set to begin on May 7th. You can find the signup sheet for >>HERE<<. While sign-ups opened quite awhile back, there are waiting lists for both Standard and CORE and it's always possible that some people end up not checking in for their tables or have changed their minds about playing. So even though things are pretty full, jot your name down on one of the Waitlists if you're interested in playing - you never know when a spot might open up :)

Lantern Lodge

There is nothing to stop a GM starting a new PBP during Gencon or Paizo Con, or any other Con.

Officially organised events however... These days we are lucky enough to often get a multi-table special included in them. Having a significant number of posters go quiet for five days during timed events is a real nuisance. No, not every table will be affected, but many will, and that causes a problem also for other tables who might end up fighting extra waves of monsters.

Don't get me wrong. I've not been to PaizoCon or GenCon, and am in the wrong end of the world for them. I love that we can have online cons, and seem to get a couple of them a year at the moment.

But having a break from a good thing for a month isn't bad either.

I'm looking for one Core Character to join my Emerald Spire run through already in progress. Level 11: The Tomb of Yarrix is next up, and so your character will need to be somewhere between levels 8-10. The group would prefer a full caster is you have one available at the necessary level. If interested, please send me a PM. I'll respond to everyone after a couple of days to get a good idea of applicants.

You'll be more likely to be picked if your character is a full caster, has played other lower levels of the Emerald Spire, and/or you are willing to stick with the remaining dungeon levels until the end of the module.

We're having less though now, OutPost and GameDays I think and that's about it.

GameDay 7 will be Aug 13 - Nov 5, then I suppose its Outpost 2 March 2019.

We still have room for one more character but I would like to take someone who has not played or GMed this scenario before.

I have an extra slot in my Gallows of Madness Part III that I'm looking to fill. It is a module for characters level 1-3, evergreen for level 1s.

Maria is interested and looking for work, having a LOT of experience with 'madness' recently.

Gahlethea is generally disinterested and never looking for work (although it sometimes seems to find her), having 'MADDENED' the experiences of the lot of them recently.

@ Maria - Hope you get into a great game. Gahlethea misses Elphie and her other roomies! Looking forward to a chance to play again soon!

Dark Archive

Other roomies? But it was just going to be us!!!! Don't tell me that Grubby BOB is staying out our house. He smells like... burning farts.

Sovereign Court

I can't kick him out. He thinks I'm his mother!

Dark Archive

Ugh... fine. As long as he keeps up bathing at least once a week he can stay.

(I should prolly stop responding to stuff... this is primarily a recruitment thread :P)

The Concordance

Hearing his name, the man stops chewing on his musket a moment. "Whatcha needin now? As Big Bobby Boom recalls, it were a fine shindig wit a fair amount o pretties!"

"As fer ma roomies? Be might shiny cohabulatin witch yall."

Would likely be more appropriate in gameplay thread. :-P

Getting my muster underway for Solstice Scar Session 2 (10-11)

Chaine (GM PDK)
Bronze (PaperDrake)
Professor (Grandlounge)
Mantis (Curaigh)
Skipper (Dien)
Adsal (Helikon)

Go ahead and report in here!

24 hour warning for Bronze/PaperDrake!

Also, one seat has opened up, so if you have an appropriately leveled character I'll take a first come first serve agent as well! Possibly two if the whole last call thing doesn't pan out.

...I mean, I could jump ship and bring my Oracle10...

Edit: Wouldn't really work, I may be running him at PaizoCon.

I have a few rangers that meet those level requirements.

Also color me interested as well. Would have a wizard in tier.

I've had a few "Yes! Wait... no." responses already, so whichever 1-2 of you first posts in the linked discussion thread with your character are in.

I don't think GM Pirate's table of Solstice Scar B (which I have a character signed up for) has mustered yet, but I could be wrong and just missed it. Is this table mustering now?

There were more people interested than I had seats so I am opening another table.

Please only apply if you have neither played nor GMed this scenario before as I would like to give new players an opportunity to play.

Thanks

We're still looking for a replacement player for my Core Emerald Spire campaign. Any core character between levels 8-10 who hasn't played level 11: The Tomb of Yarrix is acceptable. Please see this link for more information and to submit a character.

Grand Lodge

Anyone planning on starting up any mid to high level games soon? My main PFS character is level 7, and itching for another adventure.

I have not yet mustered my table, I'm on vacation and it's hard to get things set up properly without a real computer. I'll either set things up tonight or tomorrow.

Hi Kramac! I am considering running Salvation of the Sages here, having just played the scenario during OutPost. I have a meatspace convention this weekend though, so I'll decide after that.

Liberty's Edge

Anyone willing to run the PFS sanctioned content of Giantslayer book 3? I'll run something in return.

Thanks

There are very few core characters in that range on PBP. And the ones that exist might be skipping your game because they are needed for the few high level core PBP games that do occur.

My fighter moves forward 15' and strikes the bugbear with his sword sword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 (50 sec)

Esmeralda (a gnome bard) looks at the constable strangely and says, By the way, I didn't catch your name. I'm Esmeralda..Did you happen to lock up a small halfling last week by the name of Bilbo? diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 (1 min 30 sec)

These are a couple examples of how long it takes to make a post (and I type VERY slow!). If you add 2-3 minutes to boot your computer-up and open to the Paizo forums and another minute to close your computer....than theoretically, you could post everyday of the week and it take you no longer than 30 minutes of your time in a whole week! 5 min a day folks that's it...if you can't spare it..please don't apply to this game.

Having got that out of the way; in light of the fact that we have so few games being offered right now...I'll open up a tier 1-2 game (classic) I'll let the players pick between one of two scenarios: I've already run both in CORE and am prepped for both in PbP.

The scenarios will either be:

Night March of Kalakamedes or
The God's Market Gamble

HERE is the link to the recruiting page.

Again please be very aware...I am very strict on posting requirements..I want players not lurkers...If you haven't played one or both these scenarios in classic and know you can meet the posting requirements ( once a day on week-days and at least once on weekends)....then please apply...have character completely ready by the 7th (ie. stat bar and profile page completely filled out):
qualified players will be picked by lottery
Thanks

That would be most excellent! I actually just finished Beacon Below, so I am in a very Sage-y place right now.

Calling for Luke_Parry to please check in >>here<< for Solstice Scar B, CORE 5-6 at your earliest possible convenience, please! If I've not heard from you by tomorrow night (Thursday, May 3rd) then I'll begin looking to fill that last spot. Thanks!
