I'll probably be pretty distracted for the next few days; my daughter and her husband had a fire in their apartment this morning. They were both at work so at least they're OK. Their cat didn't survive, though, and there was a lot of damage. No idea how it started. We're going up to help over the weekend.
Catching up at work after being away took longer than expected, plus I'm the House GM for the PFS1e special--that's been eating my time. I'll try to get a post up in the next day or so.

As a GM, these sorts of riddles make me crazy in PbP--the party either gets it right away or goes down a rabbit hole, and there's no easy way for the GM to get you back on the right track. It's much easier in person, when body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice can be used to convey information.
I don't mind riddles and I'll happily take a few more guesses.

We only have the one combat left in this part of the module. Do you want to get a 5th player to replace Seamus, or do something else? Kronug had proposed taking a level in trapper ranger as another option.
If Kronug has a plan for covering traps I'm good with that. Looking back, though, I see DMC said we could use an arcane full caster- maybe if we could get a wizard arcane trickster that would tick all our boxes?
I know a couple of solid posters I could ask who might want to play, if that's something we want to do.
I don't mind either taking the Trapper Ranger level or adding a 5th PC as an Arcane Trickster (or Eldritch Scoundrel, Archaeologist Bard, Investigator, etc. - casty rogue).
My worry about adding a full arcane caster is that they could trivialize the AP. Not Trienne - she was great. But my old Kingmaker game had a recruitment for a wizard at 5th level, and we got so many OP Glitterdust specialist submissions. Persistent at DC 20 or something. Which would make every encounter "The party heroically hacks the blinded foes to death." And that wasn't even a campaign focused on poor-Will enemies.
Wizards can be built to target giants' weak spots very, very easily. It's to Trienne's credit that she did not go that route.
I vote for recruiting a 5th player. I think an arcane caster would be a good fit, but I don't think we need to put any restrictions on what class the new player would take. I haven't had any bad experiences on the board with OP players so I can't really speak to that aspect.

There are 2 other regulars from my other games that are pretty busy right now and probably don't have time to join another game but I could ask.

Agreed. There are people on the boards whose play styles aren't really compatible with mine, and that's OK. If it's just a PFS game, I can suck it up because it won't be that long, but an AP is a much heavier lift.

Good to have you with us! Character build specs are in THIS POST; max HP at first level, followed by rolling (d(half die) + half die). That is, if you get d8s, e.g., you roll d4+4.
Quick question, though--Eldritch Scoundrel is a rogue archetype, not a magus archetype, and it looks like it isn't compatible with either Scout or Sniper. Can you provide some more details of your build?

Also, starting cash? Wealth by level? Half?
Do you have a preferred character sheet?
And finally, should I build for level 7 or 8?
Level 7, and use straight WBL. The party is still 6th at the moment, but the tomb fight will put them over.

Hi, all. I've got a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign that has lost its arcane caster/face and needs a replacement PC. That character is kind of important because the current scene is a Diplo heavy one and we've ground to a halt without her.
