As for the Starfinder Special. We have had an influx of players and enough on the waitlist for a 3rd Tier 5-6 table. So I added another table. GM Redelia has graciously stepped up to the plate so GM Revvy Bitterleaf will be taking over her Tier 1-2 table.

There will be no need for players to sway any tables at this time but wanted to give everyone a heads up while remaining transparent in this very fluid process.

Hey, everyone, there have been some reports of people not getting notifications of posts in gameplay threads. This happened to me; there were several games I did a dot and delete a few weeks ago, and they started yesterday, and I didn't get any notification. So if you have a game that you expected would have started yesterday and did not, check on it.

I am pretty sure there was SFS character sheet template with all the BB coding somewhere but I can not seem to find it. Was I mistaken and that only existing for PFS? I have a template for my characters but it is not very user friendly for other people and I have a new player who needs a template. Anyone able to push me in the right direction?

There is one in the PbP GM kit. In that folder it's the document called 12 - SFS Character Template.

I have coded up a bbcode SFS template for PCGen based on the paizo standard block, if that helps.

A single player can only get credit for a scenario twice? Once as a GM and once as a Player.

If I GM a game, I have to give credit to a character? How is this done when you run the same scenario multiple times?

When you run an scenario a second time, your characters don't get credit, unless you use a nova replay. And you get your first nova after your 10th scenario GM'd.

So I'm not required to put in a character number when I report a scenario? I can just put in my base society number?

The only exception is 'repeatable', which can be GM'd or played any number of times, but only credited to a given character once.

So I have a question regarding the Alien Archive boon issued late last year. I played in the requisite 6 adventures (for tier 2 personal boon) between August 17th(2017) and June 14th (2018). All the adventures/scenarios I played in, I completed. It also happens that, I played all the scenarios via PbP on the Paizo boards (many of them as part of 'Game day events'); therefore it should be easy to document I actually played said adventures during the allotted time. Before this last summer began, I reached out to the various GMs and asked all of them to sign off on my Alien Archive boon so, I could build a character from one of the new races offered by the boon.

One GM got back to me and signed. (thank you GM Christopher P Marsh!) The others I got no response from or, some just told me to sign off on it myself. I wanted to follow through with this but (Ie. ask a venture officer it was O.k. to sign off myself because the games were so well documented), this summer was extremely busy for me and I never pursued it any further. Now that the summer is over, and I find myself with some more time; I wanted to find out if I could still use the 'Alien Archive' boon. I could easily list all the games I was involved in (even provide links to all their game pages). I can also provide pdf copies of all the chronicles (of the appropriate games) to a venture officer. What I'm requesting is: Could one of the online VOs sign off on my Alien Archive boon sheet retroactively? I'll provide them with any proof they need and send them a copy of my Alien Archive boon (which unfortunately only has one two actual GM signatures)
If this is possible please let me know thanks!

There are a couple of chronicles that have started to appear that have this similar fashion that have boxes for a GM to initial or sign off on.

Since the wording on the boon says that your GM may check it off, please treat this like Faction Card check marks, i.e. ask your GM in discussion for permission and how many boxes, and then check the appropriate box(es) or fill out the information on the lines yourself.

I would suggest that you also keep a list for yourself of the scenario name, date, GM, and number of boxes / lines. Your 'played' session list in your Organized Play page is a great record, especially since they have all been played online.

For example what I did with my Alien Archive is wrote the Name of the scenario and date that it was complete. In the GM Portion I wrote down the entire GM name.

I've already put down the scenarios name and date the scenarios were played on the Alien Archive boon. I've also listed each GM's SFS#(PFS#) in the section where the GM is suppose to initial. However, there is also the section on the boon itself Marked, GM Only. That needs to be filled out by another GM besides myself (I assume).Whom should I ask to fill out this section? I assume the only pertinent portions of this section of the boon sheet are the Gamemaster's signature and SFS#...as the other sections don't apply to the boon itself.

Will there be a new alien archive boon at some point?

I wanted to make sure you're aware that the notifications for new private messages aren't working anymore. I would strongly recommend that everyone check their messages once a day or so, and also request people to be patient if someone doesn't respond to your message.

I received my copy in the mail this week; that's why I was wondering.

I have a quick question. One of my players wants clarification of the rules of using credits found during an adventure to buy stuff. Their question is

we use credits found in session without having it reduced on our chronicles? I feel like the answer's yes, but the items purchased are only available during this session? If so Ferradei wants to use some of those credits to buy a healing serum. She'll hang onto it but it's for the group in general.

I have skimmed the guide book and then searched for the word "credit" and nothing that I can find talks about the credits you find on an enemy. Can someone help me out by either pointing me to a page number or an answer somewhere? Thank you in advance.

Those credits represent the reward as it appears on your chronicle. Of course you can use them when you get them, but the items purchased are just that: items purchased with your character's funds. That means you have to account for that purchase on your chronicle.

Yup, They are not free credits to use during the adventure. It is all your payment in the end. Now any consumables found and used during the scenario are a different story.

I would bot them for a little while but if it is in the order of weeks, yes I would simply let their character disappear. No chronicle sheet for them.

I would send them a PM and make sure everything is alright. Meanwhile DMPC them in the process. If gone for a significant amount of time as FireclawDrake said then I would drop from the scenario with no chronicle awarded.

I have sent a PM. It's been 2 weeks since they have posted anything, and we are now at the junk race scene in The Commencement. The missing PC's help would be very useful, but I don't want to hold up the others any more than I have to at this point.

I would then DMPC through the race and if he is not back by the end then drop the PC. I would not wait the entire 24 hours in between posts to DMPC either as it has been some time and a message has been sent. If or when he returns he can let you know.

Sometimes people post about an emergency or absence on a couple of their games but forget a game and it looks like they just disappear. I'll be sure to look into that. I assume that is he completed 1 mission (The commencement) that he'd receive the rewards for that mission?

Yes, Apologies on the no chronicle rewarded portion. Redelia is correct. It is early in the morning for me :).

APPLYING CREDIT

All players receive a Chronicle sheet unless, at the GM’s discretion,
they are replaying the Adventure Path for no credit.

Award the character XP. A PC receives XP only if he survives the scenario or completed at least three encounters over the course of the adventure and is raised from the dead by the scenario’s conclusion. A character earns 1 XP for completing a scenario. Mark this value in the shaded XP Gained field (I) and initial the adjacent box.

The key is they would have had to have completed at least 3 encounters.
