You can have two person fighters as well, that way nobody has to fly and fire at the same time. Still, star ship combat is not for everyone, and at least in a normal ship characters have a good variety of support skills they can use. Maybe you are right and have a support "carrier" type ship and those who want to pilot a fighter join a screen of those.

I'm hoping to run it 'live' at a con in Sept/Oct.
You are welcome at ConFusIon early sept, if possible (considering table requirements) we will run the SFS special. It is only at the other side of the world...

When is ConFusion, Magabeus? Is that when you’re doing your five star game?
Hmm

Hmm
As of yet there is no date, but it will be one of the first three weekends of September (so either 1-2, 8-9 or 15-16th). And indeed, I plan on doing my five star game then.
Why? Are you coming over?

Is this the ConFusion in Mi?
If so, I may have to come up..

If Mi stands for Midtown Utrecht, The Netherlands it is ;-)

It’s a lot outside of my budget, but I admit that I’m trying to investigate the possibilities if I can figure out a cheap enough flight and find a couch to crash upon. Don’t get too excited... this likely won’t happen, especially since I need to arrange college tours with my daughter in the US and Canada as well.
But heck. I really want to meet all of you crazy Netherlanders, so I’m trying to see if this is something that I can swing financially.

As an alternative to ConFusion, we will be having SydCon in Sydney, Australia - 29 Sep - 01 Oct. The weather is delightful (Hot/warm) and the beaches are awesome.
My aim is to have the SFS MTS, Solstice Scar C, and also PF2.0 playtests.
A few weeks after Sydcon is PaizoConOz which will be held in sunny Queensland (the Australia you see in the tourist commercials).
Should be a great month!

Out of topic even for Discussion, but, I wanted to let everyone know that Shifty has taken the 666th post in this thread... Coincidence?
Does that mean if we offer a soul as collateral, he'll pay for us to travel to the Australian Cons? o.O

A special Request
Hello all, this is going to sound odd but stick with me if you will. My son is doing a project for his school called Flat Stanley's Travels and I was wondering if any of you in our amazing community wouldn't mind helping out for a few minutes this weekend.
If you do not know about Flat Stanley it is a story written by Jack Brown and Sara Pennypacker. It is a humorous tale of a boy who becomes "flat" when his bulletin board falls on him. Stanley realizes there are some advantages to being flat, such as the ability to slide under doors, between bars, and even scanned and mailed across the world to friends and family.
How can you help?
If you wouldn't mind takeing a few minutes this weekend and on your travels take a picture of Stanley with a landmark, visiting another city, experiencing what all the world has, or anything else you can think of.
This is a great opportunity for my son and his whole school to not only learn about different places but also to learn about different cultures too.
The school is tracking where Stanley has traveled on a giant world map and will be posting up all the pictures for the students and staff to see.
If you would like to help please download Flat Stanley, take a picture, and send it to me with a little note of where he was.
All photos are needed by tomorrow night (about 38 hours from this post time)
Thank you for helping!! This little guy thanks you too

I've been quite impressed with how interlinked the scenario's have been so far in season one.
While I've only played (or am playing or GMing) the 1-4s so far, there has been a pleasurably high degree of use of social boons earned in one, used already in another.
Now, it is not always obvious from the scenario short text which scenarios might benefit from particular boons, so I've started to put together a (short) list of these. Has anyone else done this already, to make a kind of "path" that is sensible for characters to take?
I starting putting them into a google doc here but if this already exists (or folk think it is a bit of a spoiler) then I'll remove it.

Thanks! I'd not added the ones that I didn't know the follow-on to, but there is no reason not to have them.
I was trying to do this visually to show the progression of scenarios, but that turned out to be harder int google docs than I anticipated.

Hey, everyone,
I have exciting news. We have just finished a table of GM school, and I want to announce that the following students have successfully completed it:
Darren Whitehouse/GM Darren
Elinnea/GM Elinnea
bigboom/GM bigboom
Please join me in congratulating all three of them. They have worked hard and done well, and I would be honored to play at any of their tables.
GM Poblano Pepper
Congrats you three it was a fun game to sit in on and play.
GM RePete
Congrats all!
A skeletal head floats into the room, nodding to each newby in turn. "Well, first you need to find a doctor with some...questionable morals...' announces the undead thing.
Pausing a moment, eyes closed as it recalls the events of long ago, it offers a grim smile. "GM Hmm wires him some money and they put you under. Read the fine print on your contract! I failed to do so and...well...I don't have a body to speak of anymore."
GM RePete
It may be a unicorn, but at least you still have a body! ;-)
If it's any consolation, the procedure is painless...

Congrats all! I hope to join you at table soon.
@ GM Bigboom - As my first PbP GM on these boards, I was impressed by your skill and pacing then. If your GMing has improved since then, I am looking forward to playing in one of your games in the future all the more!

I plan to run another session after Solstice Scar B, since I'm GMing that, and don't think I could do a good job of both at the same time.
Excellent. I can be patient (I think :D )

So kind of a an informal poll, but how many level 3+ characters have you seen in your various circles. Right now it seems very slow to get a table of level 3+ together online and in person.
We are at the point now of having a decent amount of 1-4 adventures that more people should have at least one 3. Just trying to see what other experiences people have had with getting such tables.
GM Redelia
It may be that a lot of the 3-4 characters in our Lodge are on the list for the lottery for the author run starting up soon. On Monday some of those characters will be freed up.
There are 17 characters on that list, plus I believe there are one or two tables already going at that level.

There are also some characters like myself that are at that level, but are now waiting for PaizoCon to end before committing to anything. I hope to play live with some of the people that I’ve only met here, so Charli is not signing up for any more PBPs unless they plan to start after PaizoCon!
Bret, Jack and myself hope to aim ourselves at GM Poblano’s table of Live Exploration Extreme. (There’s a chance that mustering will force us onto the table of another GM, but we’re hoping to get there.) Last year I got to play in an all PBP players (though playing live) table of the Special, and it was great fun. Although the RP was necessarily shorter, we all roleplayed and quipped through every battle.
