July subscription authorizations should be done by now, so if you are still waiting for it, something has gone wrong.
I'm new to the whole subscription process, so forgive me. But my order says "pending" and I've not seen any charges pending against my card (which definitely shows authorized payments that have yet to be collected). Is there anything I need to do?

No, you're authorized. Just waiting on your turn to ship. When your books ship, you'll be charged and you'll also gain access to PDFs. Pending is where those of us pitiful souls milling around this thread all are, haha.

Okay, I was just worried because authorizations usually show up on my card for purchases. I guess I'll grab some tea and head back to hitting refresh on my browser.

A bit of quick napkin (Excel) math shows about 9,500 bundles at the $30 level leaves an average pledge of $20 for the remaining - and if significant numbers of people pledged at less than $20, that just drives up the $30+ pledges.
I can't imagine they have 9,000 rulebooks just sitting in their warehouse. I don't know how big their print run was, but I imagine they've at least got to be CLOSE to needing a second printing.

I've been in Pending for a couple weeks, but today my credit card was charged and my order still says Pending... is that normal?
For me, the charge usually hits immediately before the shipping email, but I’ve had a few orders that were charged a few hours before the actual shipping. My charge hit about an hour ago, so I expect mine to ship today.

My card was charged by Paizo over 3 hours ago (according to an email from my card company), but I have not yet received a shipping email and when I logged into my downloads a few minutes ago, nothing from this months order is there yet. I checked my order history and it says the order is still "Pending". I hope nothing is wrong and that all this just means I will be getting the order in shipping sometime in the next couple of hours...

Interesting. I'm in the same boat with a few others, with money coming out of my account six hours ago, and my status still set on Pending. I don't think I've had a wait that long before. Some of you say it's not abnormal, so I'll see what the next 24 hours holds..

That's just an estimated date. They also started shipping basically 3 business days late, and even then, it could go longer even if there wasn't a delay in the initial shipping.
Oof. Oh well, if something doesn't ship before the release (or shortly before), I suppose you could just cancel the sub so you can get it somewhere else on the actual release date. So no harm done
Also note that if your order comprises two or more shipments, they won't necessarily ship at the same time. I just got the shipping notice and PDFs for The Slithering, but I am still waiting for everything else.

The Organized Play guide is pretty explicit that if they can't show the GM the material they're using (via pdf or physical copy) then they can't use the material. There is no expectation that any PFS GM owns or is even familiar with material other than the CRB or the Lost Omens World Guide.

Shipping update:
July is a big month for subs and we expect shipping to wrap up by street date, which is July 29. The warehouse team has been working hard to get your orders out as quickly as possible, especially since shipping was pushed back a couple of days as CS and Tech worked to make sure all of your orders were right and ready for shipping. We'll update here if anything changes.
We've confirmed that the SRDs for the Advanced Player's Guide and the Starship Operations Manual should be ready by launch.
So I shouldn't get my hopes up on getting the apg before the 30th

I'm always happy with Paizo, so no complaints here, but I am incredibly looking forward to the Slithering and APG! Just waiting on the downloads to become available.

I just got my email and I am downloading the files now.
Sometimes, if I'm near the end of the shipping queue in a particular month and my authorisation expires before it is settled, Paizo will re-authorise a hold on funds.
Perhaps some of those people seeing a second charge but still seeing a pending shipment are experiencing that?
I know it's very bank-dependant how charges are displayed, but fwiw I've learned not to rely on my bank's online reporting to determine if my package has been sent but rather check my downloads or (usually) trust the "your order has shipped and it's too late to change it" email.
I wish I could get my pdf/ book but it's just pending, pending... pending. I guess people are concerned about their books like I am tho.
I hope I get mine tomorrow
