Greetings! I signed up with my Brawler but I'll be playing as my Avenger Vigilante, who's essentially an Intimidate Fighter in combat.
1) Levi
2 JUSTICE FLAME!
3) Grand Lodge
4) 246666-3
5) (Pending)

Hello, and thanks for being so responsive. The other two should be joining us here soon. I see ranged (Stonelance), melee (JUSTICE FLAME!), arcane/support (Eoran), and a wild card. Haska, what type of alchemist are you? Either way, looks like a good start to a balanced party.

![]() |

Also, Levi, are you ok with JUSTICE FLAME! being shortened to Justice at times during gameplay? Is there another short version you'd prefer? Anyone else have specific ways they'd like/not like their character to be referred to?

1) Player name : Gabriel Normandeau
2) Character name: Babine
3) Faction: Silver crusade
4) PFS number-character number 43907-16
5) Day job check : perform wind: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Yeah, during gameplay or in general just call him Justice. JUSTICE FLAME! is just how he'll always refer to himself.
Also he doesn't know he's an Ifrit, nor does he appear as one because of the Almost Human Trait he has.

Haska is the 2nd level kind of Alchemist. He has no archetype if that is what you are asking. He throws bombs, uses mutagens, and makes extracts; he's pretty plain vanilla.

![]() |

Thanks, that's what I was getting at. Vanilla bombs-away alchemist (my favorite class!) rather than a Mr. Hyde build or something.

I'm still working on recruiting a 6th player, but in the meantime please head over to the gameplay thread and introduce yourselves.

1) Andrew Mullen
2) Oiur (like foyer if you don't know a lick of French!)
3) Grand Lodge
4) 182256-2
5) Perform (Sing): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
I hit things, and make other folks better at being strong (but don't try to be strong and cast spells at the same time)
Also, they/them/themself, please 'n thanks!

![]() |

I never actually looked into it much! I just meant pronouncing it FOY-er rather than foy-EH :)
Apparently it's quite an old (18th century) French word; neat, didn't know that!

Travelin' starting early tomorrow morning, so posts will probably be minimalist!

![]() |

Correct on the Knowledge checks. The Diplomacy (gather information) check can be made untrained.

![]() |

Actually, I take that back. You can roll the Knowledge checks (as Int checks, essentially), you just can't score higher than a 10 (so if you rolled a 17, it would count as a 10). Given that there is some information that you can get at a 10, it's not ridiculous to roll it (though your allies may have already found that information and shared it).

![]() |

Babine, I need you to choose an avatar, please, so I can make a token for you.

![]() |

And I'm finally in. I'm really sorry it took me so long, I messed up the timing with another adventure, leaving the character I was supposed to play trapped somewhere in the mountains of Varisia. =/

Welcome, Alphonze!
Sorry for the slow start, everyone. I was planning to get the first post up this morning before heading to work, then the site was down all morning. We're up and running now, though!
A note on decision points: Because this is a timed special, I am going to limit the amount of time you spend making decisions (like this first one of which floor to fight on). For the most part, as soon as a second player agrees with a suggestion, I'll move us along.

Do you include me? Because I will just accept the first suggestion. Like the one we have now.

![]() |

Definitely including you. In future, I would prefer in-character agreement, though.

Big shindig tonight (plus low signal rural area!), doubt I'll be able to post. Dennis, I trust you to direct Oiur if need be. Hit things, do music, be friendly, make knowledge checks :p

Fun Fact: I am the author of the description for the living runes on the pbp.

It's a good'n! Bringing the light in with the motion of the water kicked the scene into much more dynamic in my mind's eye.

Do you mean you wouldn't throw your flask of acid before hearing what Haska learned from their Knowledge check?

Babine=Gayel Nord
I was just saying that I have written what inside the identification check.

This is a complicated enemy, let me know if any of that was unclear and i'll try to clarify.

![]() |

Basically, we can hurt it the "normal" way, but it's going to keep repairing itself unless we disable it using some of those skill checks you listed?

![]() |

Whoops, my last roll in the thread was Perception

![]() |

My table is passing you the following Aid Token!
***Token #2***
Current Boosts: Allied Offensive (boosted by Marrowtusk)
Use it quickly or boost it, and pass it on!!!

Gayel Nord |

I take it that's an untyped bonus, not piercing or slashing, and can punch through the Swarm's resistance?
Yup. Weird but Yes.

![]() |

Sounds like a great narrative opportunity to me!

![]() |

Here's the specific boosted section. Go ahead and use it if you'd like, then I'll pass it on to someone else.
"Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at
the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one
attack by 1d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone
attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the
beginning of the attacker’s next turn. In Subtiers 5–6 and
7–8, this amount increases to 2d8 points. In Subtier 10–11,
this amount increases to 3d8 points. To Boost: Succeed at
an attack roll against an AC equal to an Average skill check.
Boosted Effect: +1d8 points of damage."

Here's the rest of it:
Aid Token
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 1d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. Boosted: +1d8 points of damage. (to boost, attack roll vs average AC)
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 1d6 points of damage. Boosted: +2d6 points of healing (to boost, expend 1 channel energy or cast a healing spell of level 2 or higher. Must be cast, not from item)
Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage (+1) bardic performance for 3 rounds. Boosted: increase bonus by 1 (to boost, expend 3 rounds of bardic performance)
Provide Knowledge (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a Knowledge skill check or Spellcraft skill check used to identify a magical item; the type and difficulty (Easy, Average, or Hard) depend on the table granting the benefit. (To Boost: Succeed at a Knowledge check of your choice, the result of the check (Easy, Average or Hard) should be noted on the Aid Token.)
Provide Spellcasting (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a beneficial spell cast by an ally as listed on the Aid Token. To Boost: Cast one of the following spells and note your PC’s name and caster level on the Aid Token: lesser restoration, neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease.
As a team, you can invoke the aid token to provide one of the benefits, or you may boost it. Neither takes an action.
Strong GM encouragement: Use the token quickly, and pass it on. If you don't think you need the help, then pick something to boost.
