It’s from an AP, so it might be on the chronicle for that book of the AP.
I just checked the Chronicle sheet, and it's not listed there. However, it's listed under "The Price of Infamy" under Additional Resources, so it's legal to purchase for your PC as long as you own a copy of that book from the Skulls and Shackles Adventure Path (as long as your PC has enough fame for the purchase).

So, I just finished DMing a game that came out before Out-of-Subtier gold was introduced, so when faced with how much gold to award out-of-subtier players, I took the liberty of manually averaging the two subTiers and giving them that. Is that kosher?

Double-check this vs. the Season 10 Guild Guide; you're probably right, but the formal rule will be in there.
EbonFist |
I just checked the guide, you're doing it right. It's the average of the high subtier and the low subtier.

Would a Cavalier/Samurai/Paladin's "Mount" count as an "Animal Companion" for the purpose of this feat?

Greetings GM's!
I am in need of a backup GM for a Prince of Augustana table on Gameday IX. Any GM's willing to step in for a fellow GM in need?
Thanks!
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
I LOVE the implications of the Dark Tapestry Spirit with that feat - turn ANYTHING into a slow-flying Lovecraftian horror! Hilarious!
GM Chyro |
Tyranius, my list is short enough to fit a game.
A questoon in general, relating to gameday, what if a player who'd make the table the bare minimum, doesn't show up?
Disband the table, dmpc a pregen?
GM Eclipse |
With the new 2 pregen rule it might save the table but if it isn't legal still or the players don't want pregens...I would make a call for someone to help the table out by joining.
GM Chyro |
Well i have three out of 4 to go. I was counting on #4 to join yesterday evening. :/
And new pregen rules, would you happen to have a link?
Else i'll search somewhere tonight.

And on the question of, 'Does this apply to PF1 also?' --> this post in the same topic, on the second page.

It's been a while since I GM'd on these boards. I don't run any games on pbp right now so I'd gladly step up for it. However, if GM Chyro already comitted, no probs :)
GM Chyro |
Thank you Lady Ladile. :)
Ironically, the one mission Tonya posted about, The Confirmation, is the one in question.
She says there is a pregen for it, though i am having problems finding that one. Could be phone having problems displaying some parts, i'm not sure.
GM Tyranius |
@Zinou- Thanks!. I am sending you a PM with the table link.
@Chyro- Yes if you have 2-3 players then have the players play additional pregens to get the table to 4 characters.
GM Chyro |
Sedoriku Hi Faliana & Agent Eclipse, you'd be most welcome. :)
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
@GM Chyro: How far in are you? I have a few 1st-levels itching to make their debuts; one of them might be willing to join you, for old time's sake.
GM Chyro |
We have not yet started.
If everyone who offered joins, we are full.
Plus, i think it be best if any gaming together would be as PCs.
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
*shrug* It's "The Confirmation" - little surprises everywhere, but nothing too dangerous; I'll just watch my back when the one exception to that shows up.
Got a link, then?

^It's our online Play-by-Post convention that we run during the fall! Games are ran using both PbP and PbD (Play-by-Discord, which is different from live playing using Virtual Table-Top) formats. The convention just started on Tuesday but there might still be space at some of the tables if you're interested in participating :)
GM Tyranius |
As Lady Ladile said above. There is also a chance to earn Gift Vouchers, Boons for PFS1E and SFS, as well as additional Achievement points for PFS2E.
Lady Ladile |
The general pacing is similar to non-Gameday/convention games (1 to 2 posts a day, give or take) but some GMs may ask for a faster pace. We do strongly encourage GMs to have their games wrapped up or close to wrapped up by November 10th if at all possible so that we can get everything reported on Paizo and all the boons and such handed out in a timely manner.
BretI |
Some games will run much faster than others. Some will have zero or one post over the weekend and one daily during weekdays, others will try to keep up the rate of one or more posts a day even on weekends.
The specials have the fastest pace.
Quests and bounties are the shortest adventures. They would make a great introduction to Play by Post or Play by Discord since they would finish much sooner yet give you a feel for how these mediums work.
The biggest catch is a character can only be in one adventure at a time. Once you have a character in a Play by Post, you can’t play them in other games until that one completes.
Black Sun |
Some time ago, this character was invited to join an Emerald Spire party once they'd finished with "The Drowned Level". What ever happened to that???
Bored Kineticists are dangerous....

Spoiler wanted!
Anyone know of any scenarios that would give a higher level pit spell to a core wizard character?
Any response should probably be PMed as I know we try not to spoil peoples fun with spoilers here.
Speaking of non-core spells, is there any way for a characters without a spellbook to get a non-core spell in core?
GM Aldizog |
Optional Encounters are truly optional and you may skip them if you're concerned about time, concerned if your group can handle it, or even if you just feel that they don't add anything special to the story.
Thanks! I will see how things go and how depleted they are at that point.
GM Aerondor |
They can be fun. I run them around half the time. It mostly depends on how the table is playing. If they are having blast together I often run it, but especially on game days, or if the team is struggling I skip them.
Some of the time I ask if players have another game lined up that they are holding up, in which case I might skip an optional. Sometimes the team is having just too much of a cake-walk through the scenario (lucky rolls or just the *right* party composition/item/spell/feat), and I'll run the encounter to give the feeling of at least a little more challenge to the scenario.
If there are some new players, I might skip them, because the table is already doing a lot of extra work just struggling with rules. Sometimes I'm, just tired and need more bandwidth so I'll skip them.
Every table/scenario is different. Don't feel you have to run them for a reason, or not run them for a reason.
TLDR: Essentially if they add to the "fun" of the table then I'll try to run it, otherwise I'll skip.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
I played in a PbP of Champion's Chalice part 2 with GM Jeff Cook running it (really fun game, btw!). It was reported on August 28th.
It is showing up twice in my "sessions" list. I think this means it got reported twice. How do I go about deleting one of them?
The first choice is to contact the GM and ask them to make the correction. If that is not possible or doesn't work then send a polite request to
PaleDim |
Similarly, but separately, what's the backlog/wait-time on "Report a problem" button-clicks currently? I reported a mis-reporting of a scenario a few weeks ago. Fixing it is not strictly a rush issue for me, but it's more to know how long I should wait before considering it might have been missed.
GM Tyranius |
@Paledim- Was the reporting a part of an event or just a GM reporting and normal game?
PaleDim |
It was part of Outpost III. Yes, it's been a while since that. I tried to fix it through the original GM, and when that didn't work tried clicking Report a Problem.
