If you have room for a 5th, I might give it a try. Was looking at either Avenger or Zealot.

![]() |

Yes, but GM Gregg specified they wanted one of each class, and I wasn't terribly interested in the Stalker. :)

I'm considering taking a spin at GMing for a group of folks I know, and would be playing over the 'Net.
I was thinking of picking up Confirmation and Wisp to start with, do I need to buy map packs alongside that, or do those scenarios come with them?
In addition, who would be the best person to report to VO/VC/whatnot wise to get registered?

Neither really. You can usually open the PDFs in Adobe or similar PDF Readers and copy the maps onto something like Paint, then upload the picture into either the VTT or something like Google Drawings.
As for getting registered, I'm not sure what you mean. You don't need to report to anyone to Report the game once it's over, but you do need to Register for PFS, which you can do yourself HERE.
Once you have a PFS number, that's all you need. PFS also does follow certain rules unique to itself, mostly designed to keep things balanced and to allow everyone to be able to take their character to any game and not worry about if a particular GM will allow something of not.
You can find the Guide HERE.
Finally, my honest suggestion would be to avoid both of those scenarios and instead start with First Steps. Neither are bad, but for a new DM, they might be a little more on the complicated side with all the potential options and hand-holding.
Instead, I would suggest First Steps, which is a bit easier and I thought more fun. Sadly, Parts 2 and 3 where removed from play.
All of the above is free, so I hope that helps, and if you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

I've been playing here on the forums, over the net with other people, and at tabletops in conventions, so I'm familiar with the player-side of rules.

Have this, but pointing it out to my players would be helpful, so thank you!

Is First Steps still available? I didn't see it under the Replayable modules, was I looking at the wrong header?

The only things you do differently as a GM (basically) is lead the action as the scenario dictates, report the game and create the chronicles and distribute them once the game is complete.
Go to https://secure.paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/myAccount and you'll see your GM/Event Coordinator tab next to your Player tab where you create your event and then report your sessions.

Ok, so I know if my characters are all tied up I can use a pregen and apply the credit to a character when the character is done with their PBP. My question is, suppose I complete a faction mission (boon on the chronicle, not faction card) with the pregen. Now Lem doesn't have a faction, but the character to which I am applying the credit does have that faction (and successfully completed enough to gain the boon as Lem).
Does the character receive those faction-specific boons on the chronicle sheet when the credit is applied? Or are they crossed off because Lem doesn't belong to a faction?

All Pregens are Grand Lodge Faction, so you would get the Boon, but if the real character you apply it to is not Grand Lodge, it's lost. I believe this is also true for Faction Cards.

Really? That would be great! I signed up for some games for the APcon and I dont know if my character will be done with the PbP in time. But he's Grand Lodge so hopefully you're right in case i need to use a pregen.

Step 6: Faction Your character belongs to one of seven factions (pregenerated characters are assumed to belong to the Grand Lodge faction). Detailed descriptions of all seven factions can be found in Chapter 4 of this guide. A brief summary of each follows.

Wondering if anyone is feeling up to GMing the module "Academy of Secrets" (lvls 12-14) for PbP. Or even if there are any players with legal characters who can join this ranger in playing? Just played Tomb of the Iron Medusa today and wanna keep going with this character. Well, till I can't, of course.

I could potentially be interested in GMing "Academy". I also have my own ranger here sitting at 12th with nothing to do.
As for Dragon's Demand, I tried to bite off too much there when I was running too many games over a year ago. Five or six levels of advancement? I think it would take around a year, probably longer. I never got a PBP past the end of the second dungeon, but did GM it as a live game last summer.

Just as a point of clarification, from page 6 of the current guide to organized play:
You may not apply a Chronicle sheet earned with a pregenerated character to a character that was already at the level of the pregenerated character or higher, as you should have used this
character for the scenario instead.
So in a Tier 1-5 scenario, just for example - if you are playing a level 4 pregen and your PC is lvl 1, 2, or 3 you can hold the sheet and apply it when your PC levels to 4. But you cannot play a level 1 pregen and apply the credit to a level 1, or higher, PC that already has credit to it. (Although you could apply a level 1 pregen credit to a brand new PC that has never been played and has no sheets assigned to it.) Nor could you play a level 4 pregen and apply it to a PC of level 4 or 5. [Hopefully that made sense.]
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns HERE.

EDIT: Assuming the PC in question is the Level 5 Bloodrager playing in a Tier 5-9 scenario at APCon 2015, you should be good since you would be playing a lvl 7 pregen by default.

@Samhain and Osric: I have a couple in range for Academy if a table forms.
I believe either Hugo or Dora have served with either of you, respectively, on some of their last missions before retiring.
I think all of the "GM Academy Certificates" are online correspondence training via the links in this tread. That and OTJ training. :-)

I'd love to get in on a CORE Confirmation game.

I can run a Core confirmation for you. I will setup a signup, and put you both on it. I have a couple others in the final scenes, so we probably won't start for a week or so, if that's ok?

Dangit, now you have me in a quandary. Join your session (which I'd prefer to do) or provide Dungeon Master S's Silent Tide lot with a tank (they have 4, none of which have ACs higher than 15 as far as I can tell).

Would anyone be interested in taking over as GM for a game of 'We Be Goblins!'? Or current GM has had to step away, and we are far enough through that I'd like to finish up, rather than start over or abandon it completely.

** spoiler omitted **
Sure, I can finish the game with you if you are still looking for a GM. I ran it twice already. I assume you want to do part 2 and 3 after that one as well?

I think I got everyone who already posted interest, and caps may be out now, but I left him on the list. I will open this up for others in Gameplay, but wanted to make sure I got everyone so far.

I put myself on the Waiting List in case there was someone who was still wanting to get in on that that was missed. Please bump me up if that's not the case?

Is applying GM credit from something like Emerald Spire worth it? I mean, if you apply all of the chronicles to the same character, then you would never be able to play that character in anything because it would level out.
If I only applied a few it would make that character's scenario history make no sense, as in, they went to the Spire, explored a floor, went off and did some random mission, and then went back to the Spire to explore another floor three farther than the first.
I personally think it may b best to not apply any credits to any of my characters when reporting my Emerald Spire game, but I was wondering what you all think/have done.

When you report a game, you have to input your number as the GM, including a character number I believe. You could always just put it on an unused number and never build a character for that number and essentially ignore it. Alternatively, if you wanted to play that character a few times between applying each level of ES, you could slow-track your character through all of the ES levels and that would give you a bit of play time.

Personally, I would break up the credit between 3 (or more) different characters. The special Boons seem to follow three paths, and similar to DM credit, you could instead use them to add a level here and a level there to existing characters.
This would allow you to take into account the different Boon rewards, but also still allow you to continue to play your character(s) a decent amount.

I saw a referral post from a red skull calling himself Nebten to drop in and say hello to possibly get into some online PFS games?
Also I was just told via PM by someone else that come July 30th Kitsune may not be legal anymore, so I need to get to level 2 + 1 game before then to guarantee I remain legal... and I'm not sure I'll be able to do many games locally, if any by then.
